"Don't we all? Unless we're zombies. Then we just don't care, because we're dead and don't use them. I don't see what the undead see in eating people. Is it a hobby? Or do they just want to add more numbers to their ranks?"

"I think they're lonely," he said, "I think they have nobody to love and they'll continue slaughtering the masses until they find someone who remains affectionate even though they've been zombified."
He frowned, then added, "Or maybe they just have permanent hunger, I could empathise with them, I've been told I'm comparable to a plague of starving locusts on bad days,"
He smiled despite himself, he had some painfully accurate friends, still, that proved they knew him. Sort of.
