It's 3683, and the world as we know it is no more. The Department of Robotics and Technology has been developing new robots to help Metropola, the largest city in the world, since 2175. At first, they were used for simple things: Construction work, factory assemly lines, and anything else that need a mechanical touch. All of the world was pleased with the machines. But when the head of the DRT passed away, his son, Lyser Omasko, took over and vowed to make his father's research more "modernized". He called for volunteers, telling the populace that it would all go to a great cause--helping the DRT help humans. Many signed up, and were subjected to painful experiments, implanting robotic technology into their brains and turning them into a hybrid between human and machine--a cyborg. Cyborgs were assigned to law enforcement after it was determined that they would be a safer alternative than sending humans out, especaily with the increasing crime rate in Metropola. Soon they were seen patrolling the streets, taking care of their duties and signifacantly lowering the crime level. Once again, the whole of humanity was pleased with the machines, even if it meant subjecting themselves to painful experiments. But something much more sinister was brewing in the not-too distant future. The cyborgs were getting tired of taking orders from humans. Before long, the cyborgs were rampaging through the cities, regardless of orders. Humans were either taken to be turned into more allies or cruelly slaughtered. By the time Omasko realized that this could be a problem, it was far too late. He was killed by the leader of the cyborgs, Lucas Slade, who had been the first human to be transformed into a cyborg. The cyborgs then went on to execute the mayor of Metropola. Since then, the cyborgs have held Metropola in an iron grip. Its struggle against the cyborgs has gone unnotcied by other cities and countries. The humans have almost been wiped out, due to increased experimantation and rebellion. Metropola has been forgotten by the rest of the world.
In desperate times like these, the world is crying for a hero.
