"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!"The Queen shrieked and flung the crystal ball across the room, it shattered into a million tiny shards.
Alice had defeated one guard already with just one small knife, how many more would she take out before she reached her?
"HOW CAN THIS BE HAPPENING!?!?!?"She continued, and in her rage thrust the table from it's standing place and hurled it at a nearby guard.
Fortunately, for the guard that is, All card staff had been well trained to use their reflexes at times like this, their teacher being watch and learn.
"That little brat is going to ruin EVERYTHING!" She ranted on, pacing the polished black floors of the room silently, unlike the small page that followed her with his shoes squeaking noisely.
She pressed her long fingers to her temples and rubbed them in a circular motion, she would have to be smart , cunning, lethal, if she was to be rid of this Alice girl.
Who was SHE to cause wreckage over the whole of wonderland? Who was SHE to murder her guards? who was SHE to ruin her plans of complete domination?!?!??!?!
The queen sighed and sat back in her throne, she regretted hurling the crystal ball across the room, now she would be blind to Alice's journey, and would not be able to stop her making her way here...unless...
"You!" She called sharply, making the 'new' messenger jump- she had had to find a replacement for that last imbecile, thankfully he wouldn't be troubling her anymore, being dead and all- out of his skin and scurry to her feet at once, "How can I be of service to your Highness?" He asked, bowing low.
"Get me Cheshire cat... I want a word..." She said smiling cunningly.
Loud chimes echoed through the enormous room and the queen looked up to the clock.

That Rabbit was late.

The Rabbit was running behind, he couldn't be late. He ran and ran, through the Vale of Tears and the dark forests and chilly wastes, dodging Card guards and mutated beasts. The watch slowly Tick[/]ed rhythmically as he ran.

Finally, the palace was in sight. Pumping his legs furiosly he sped past dozens of questioning Guards, down long, black hallways and through twisted tunnels. He could NOT be late to this appointment.

The doors to the Queen's court were in sight, the heart-decorated doors seemingly bent and warped just under the surface, just out of view.He stood at the door and adjusted his hat. [i]Tock
.

Somewhere in the palace, great chimes rung loudly.
Dance forever with the devil on a cold cell block
But that's what happens when you rape, murder and sell rock
Devils used to be gods, angels that fell from the top
There's no diversity because we're burning in the melting pot

"Your Highness," The door guard announced, "The rabbit is here."
The queen glared at the guard as if it was his fault the rabbit had just made it on time, now she wouldn't have an excuse to chop off someones head today. Drat.
"Well don't just stand there gawping you imbecile! Send him in!" She barked, and the guard immediatly obeyed.

He opened the large heavy door and it creaked loudly.
"Mr. Rabbit," He said in an oddly deep voice,"Her majesty, They royal Queen of hearts will see you now."

The Queen sat straight in her throne and plastered a false smile across her beautifully pale face, "Ah... Rabbit, for once you are on time, please, have a seat." She said, gesturing to an empty chair across the table which her throne was seated at.

Alice waited a few more moments before it became apparent to her that the Cat wasn't going to respond to her. Great, she thought, I'm definately gonna be able to save Wonderland with all the support I'm getting.

Using her foot, she rolled the Card Guard's body over so he was lying face down. He had died staring at her, and she felt uneasy with the corpse's glassy eyes focused on her. She looked around, as if expecting to see another sign, but instead she just noticed another path.

She followed it, and after a few minutes of walking, and listening for anything following her, she came to a bridge, but the water underneath it was dark and murky. She didn't want to fall into it, definately not. But how could she tell if it was dangerous?

Taking her knife, she grabbed some of her hair, and cut some off. Stepping to the edge, she let the chunk of hair go, and it fell into the water, but she couldn't tell what had happened to it because of how dark her hair was. Cutting off part of her apron, she dropped the white piece of cloth, only to see it quickly disolve.

"Acid," She muttered. Now she wasn't sure if she wanted to cross the bridge. What if it broke? What if the acid splashed it, made a hole, and she fell into it? She hesitated again.

Should she cross it, or stay?

The cheshire catdecided it was time for her to figure out whether she should continue to kill like she did to the guard or to run away. It was her decision and he couldn't always be there to give advise even if he was physically there. He follwed her down the path she chose and saw the bridge of acid. She must cross it. he thought to himself although he wasn't sure if he should appear. He could sense something amiss and the queen seemed to want him. If he appeared, he could be taken.

"You summoned me, my Queen?" the Rabbit asked timidly, desperately looking around the room, avoiding the Queen's eyes. He liked where his head rested now, and had no intention of slipping up and having it placed on a wall.

Of course, with Alice so near peril, the terrifying duo of Tweedledum and Tweedledee were not far behind. Separated, one was lurking behind Alice, and the other was on the other side of the bridge, connecting two pieces of flammable cord together. Their intent was quite clear. Tweedledum made a run for it, away from the bridge once the two pieces were tightly knotted. Smiling like a child who just found his mother's stores of candy, he picked up a match. Scratching it on a piece of flint, he held the tiny flame to the cord. It burned fast.

The cord split right before the bridge, and wove around the planks in an intricate pattern. But the bridge itself, did not burn. The Tweedles weren't that stupid. If they burned the bridge, how would they ever get their time alone with the lust of their lives? No, of course they wouldn't put Alice in physical danger. At least, not intentionally. No, the flames were merely meant to intimidate dear little Alice for now. The cord was extremely flammable, but it burned slowly. Also, the bridge had been covered with an anti-flammable substance to keep it from burning. So for now, all she could see was the lines of flame that weaved over the bridge like a spiderweb, looking like Christmas lights- in Wonderland.

Tweedledee couldn't help but giggle, and he knew that Alice could hear him. But he had seen the knife, he knew she was armed. There was nothing to gain by attacking her now, at least, now while she had the blade on her. He and his brother would have to work out a way to get that away from her, but for now all he needed to do was wait and watch. Would Alice try to cross the bridge, despite the fire? Or were both the fire and the acid too much for the dearly deranged heroine? The tweedles thought they knew the answer, the question being, were they right?

Alice took half a step backwards when she saw the flames, but she stopped herself when she heard laughter. Gripping the handle of the bloody knife, she turned, fear evident in her emerald eyes. She felt like a child faced with her worst nightmare, frightened and thinking it would never end.

Maybe it wouldn't. Maybe she'd be trapped in Wonderland forever. Maybe she'd die here. Then what?
"Snap out of it, Alice," She told herself crossly, but something was niggling at the back of her mind. She'd heard laughter like that before, but she had no idea where. Turning back to the bridge, she noticed that there was pattern, and she could step over the flames. They didn't rise that high. Still tightly gripping her knife, she started to walk across it.

She took her time, stepping carefully. When she got to the middle of the bridge, one of the flamces jumped up, and caught her skirt, setting part of it alight. Alice shrieked, and started slapping at the flames, which quickly went out, but not before burning her hand. She looked at the angry red patch on her hand, and stepped even more carefully, hitching her skirt up to the tops of her thighs so it wouldn't catch fire again. Modesty didn't matter to Alice. This was her imagination, she could do whatever the hell she wanted.

She finally reached the other side, and breathed a sigh of relief, dropping her skirt, and examining her palm again. Some of the redness had faded slightly, but it was starting to blister. It was only then something clicked and she realised where she'd heard the laughter before.

"How the fuck did they get here?" She asked herself, referring to the orderlies that regularly tortured her. Alice hated them. They found her pain funny, and thought it would be even more fun to rape her. The day after that, she'd gotten her revenge by stabbing them both in the face. She hadn't done much damage, though they did have nice scars on their cheek. Looking over the bridge again, she turned and ran down the path that was on the other side. She didn't need them causing her trouble now.

They'd been right. Dear little Alice had never been frightened easily, though, getting under her skin was quite simple. A few more tricks here and there, and she'd be as paranoid as the rabbit. Perhaps more so.

Tweedledee laughed loudly once she was over the bridge and out of reach to hurt him with the knife. She was so adorable. Truly, she was. The way she reacted to things was probably what turned both the Tweedles on to her. It amazed them, that even when petrified into silence, she would still fight back. Joining his brother now on the opposite side of the acid river, they left the flames to keep burning. Once the bridge had been destroyed, it would be harder for Alice to go back to where she'd come- where they'd come from. Splitting up, but never far apart, the twins followed Alice down the path.

"Why are you running from us, darling?"
"Something the matter? We only want to play..."

The Tweedles cackled and veered off the path, hiding among the trees that lined it.

"You can't get away from us, Alice."
"You won't get away from us, Alice."

Tweedledum lifted a small stone and tossed it in Alice's direction. It hit the ground and bounced right in front of her, but it was a far cry from actually hitting the supposedly intending target. Assuming, he'd been aiming at Alice. Tweedledee threw another pebble, his a mirror action of his brother's, hitting the ground and bouncing away harmlessly. Either the Tweedles had incredibly horrible aim, or they were aiming at something a little more difficult to see.

Hidden along the path, were several small bombs, each about the size of a tablespoon. Pressure activated them, and a pebble was just the right size to set them off. But, larger than the pebble, and heavier too, was a a certain girl's foot. The Tweedles weren't aiming for the bombs. No, they were maneuvering Alice so that she, herself, would set them off.

"Yes little Rabbit, indeed I did summon you, and it seems," She paused and gestured to the clock, "You just about made it on time." The Queen smiled, although it was obviously fake, and continued," You see rabbit, now that Wonderland is once again rightfully under my power, i do not wish for any threats to avail, and I think that by now you should know who and what I am talking about and If you don't then you are either incredibly stupid , which I doubt very much, or extremely ignorant, and as you well know Mr. Rabbit," The Queen snatched a nearby guards axe, spun it around through the air swiftly, and dropped it into her palm where, when it landed, made a soft 'thunk' noise.
"So, what will it be, loyalty and decapitation? Or becoming a rat." The Queen grinned evilly and twirled The axe around nimbly in her hand.

Alice shut her eyes, as if that would block out the voices, thought it wasn't the smartest thing to do as she ran. She felt her foot catch on something, and she fell, the knife flying from her hand, and her landing face first in the dust. She coughed and spat as some of it filled her mouth, and pushed herself up, but she stopped when she got to her knees. She focused on the ground in front of her, breathing heavily.

What was she actually doing? She was in her imagination, for Christ's sake! She could just fix it by imagining it better, right?
No. She'd been imagining Wonderland as the same since after the fire, and it was now all fucked up.

"You can't get away from us, Alice."
"You won't get away from us, Alice."

Yes, I will, she thought, and she stood, picking her knife up from the ground in front of her. She heard something, and looked down at the pebble at her foot, which another quickly joined. They were attacking her with pebbles?

"Go away!" She screamed over her shoulder as she started to run again. She really didn't need this at the minute, and she had to get away from those freaks, before they caught her and tortured her. Again. She'd put up with it ever since she first went to the asylum, she really didn't need it at that moment in time.

Re: Alice; Welcome To Wonderland ~;~ IC

"I think she's getting scared." One shouted to the other, loudly enough for Alice to hear easily.
"I know she's getting scared." The other called back, followed by a malicious cackle.

"There's no getting away from us, Alice."
"There's nowhere you can go, Alice."
"There's no one to run to, Alice."
"There's no one to save you, Alice."

The two were falling behind, and they knew it. They were too large and slow on their feet to even pose a true threat if it came to a race, and picking up pebbles every other ten seconds didn't help them much either. But they had more traps and tricks ahead than the bombs buried in the ground. They had planned farther ahead than most who knew them could think they could. If Alice overcame one, she'd run straight into another. It was only a matter of time.

"You made Wonderland like this, Alice."
"You'll never save Wonderland, Alice."

Tweedledum was the first to consciously realize that they were getting behind. Their pebbles were coming up short in their landings, hitting the ground behind Alice instead of in front. He quit his taunting for then, and sprinted as fast as his chubby body would allow him to go. Tweedledee soon followed suit, and the two raced to catch up to their dear little Alice.

Among the many traps ahead, there were what the Tweedles called "Fallers" spread out on the path, and in the forest nearby. "Fallers" were simply holes dug into the ground, with an imaginary cover to them, that made it look as though they didn't exist. Once in the pits, it was incredibly difficult to get out. Of course, some would have put spikes in the bottom of these pits, knives or spears or sharpened sticks to pierce the one falling into them. But the Tweedles had something more fun in plan for when they caught their quarry. Something much more cruelly intended.

Besides the Fallers, there were also more mines ahead, tiny bombs that with pressure, would be set off. There was also glass sprayed across the dirt path, and large stones to help her trip and fall into the pieces. There were trip wires, thin, translucent pieces of wire, set before each trap and field to help encourage Alice to fall into them. But what the Tweedles didn't realize, was that if she happened to spot the wires, it wouldn't be long before she noticed a pattern.

Huffing and puffing a good thirty yards (or meters) behind Alice, this was the farthest thing from either of the twins' minds.

"My Queen." the Rabbit said evenly "I have always been loyal to you. I don't know what you could be speaking of..."

The axe glittered grimly like a horrific pendulum, swinging back and forth in the Queen's hands. Hands that wouldn't jsut order his execution, but do it themselves.

Tock.

Alice realised that the voices were getting quiet, fading. That meant that she was pulling ahead, or they were falling behind, and she guessed they were falling behind, because she hadn't increased her speed much. She slowed to a fast walk, because her legs were starting to burn from all the running she was doing. She came to a stop for a few seconds, to catch her breath, but when she took a step forwards, she heard something snap underfoot.

Looking down, expecting it to be a twig, she was suprised when she noticed a wire. Crouching, she picked up the ends of it, and started to stand, when she realised that it was a long wire. Looking down at the ground, she squinted, and then she could see more bits of it. Dropping the wire, she followed part of it, watching as it branched off at bits. She took another step, and felt the ground shift underfoot, and immediately drew back her foot. A pit. Great. She'd been pushed into a trap, again.

Taking care where she walked, and testing the ground before she stepped, Alice eventually made it past the pits and the tripwires, and breathed a sigh of relief. The path was starting to slope downwards, hopefully that meant she was getting somewhere, somewhere where she could get help. She was going to change Wonderland back to normal again. She had to. Maybe if Wonderland went back to normal, she'd regain some more of her sanity, and she'd be able to leave the mental home.

But it was a big if. Looking over her shoulder, she gripped the knife tighter again, something that was starting to reassure her, and started down the slope, pushing some of her dark hair out of her eyes as she did so. She wasn't going to fall into a trap so easily again, if she could help it. Maybe she'd just wait and face whoever it was, and then stab them. She might be safer that way.
