Adelaide sighed as she leant over a desk in the local library working. It was nearly closing time and she still hadn't got enough work done. She had exams in five weeks and felt like she hadn't done nearly enough work. She had five books that she'd been photocopying numerous pages from for school. She was only 16 and her parents were rich. Her mother a model and her father a top Lawyer.

She stood up, stretching as she noticed the librarian getting ready to close up. Moving her long blonde hair over her sholders, her blue eyes stared down at all the papers. Taking a stapler out of her bag, she stapled the relative pages together, along with writing down which book and the author it was so she could reference it later if needed. Addie then finally started packing away.

10 minutes later, Addie was walking down the street, heading home alone, in the dark. A stupid move, but Addie had never felt threatened by the walk in the past and it was only 9pm. Though it was dark because it was the middle of January.

It was a cold night, everything was calm and quiet. Matthew was alone, waiting the right time. “21:17” He said to himself, he was ready.

Matthew turned around, the dark alley was empty except for him and the dumpster, everything covered by snow. It was time now. He walked out of the alley to the street, arranging his dark grey sweater covering his pale face and black hair with the pullover.

“Building nine, apt. 308, Michael Smith, 21:30 pm” He murmured to himself as he turned to the right, the street was almost empty, only a couple of cars and people around. Everything was perfectly planned, it was going to be an easy hit.

Addie looked down at the snow and smiled. She liked the place while a white blanket covered the floor. She looked around and noticed a few people around - not many though. She continued to walk down the street coming up to the lacal park.

She had to cross the park and then join onto the main street and cross through town. She'd be back at home around 21:50 and it was 21:20 now. It took her 15 minutes to get through the park and starting down the main street.

To the one side of the main street a number of apartments lay and the other was a few shops. Addie still lived a good 15 minutes walk away but she was been slow. She liked the snow. It was nice and peaceful tonight. Beautiful.

Matthew was already inside the apartment. The heat was turned on so it was pretty comfortable inside. But he didn't took of his sweater, or his globes, no one saw his face and he needed to make sure that it continued that way.

The door opened from the outside, a bold and fat man in a tuxedo got inside calmly.

“Michael Smith…” Matthew Said with a changed low voice. The man turned at him, but he couldn’t do anything but to fall, his neck bleeding too much. Matthew took his knife and ran away, closing the door with locks and turning the lights off.

Then he got outside the building, turned on his Ipod and jugged away pretending to exercise.

Addie wasn't looking where she was going as she looked around the place and then at her feet. It was at that point that she bumped into someone that had just started jogging.

"Ugh...Sorry..." She started, looking up at him as she blushed, embarrassed.

She just stood there, looking at the guy that she'd bumped into. Her cheeks a bright crimson colour as she looked at the stranger, a little nervous as there wasn't many people around. He didn't look much older than herself.

Matthew stood for a moment, thinking. "Oh... Are you all right?" He asked grabbing her arm softly looking at her eyes. He had time after all, no one would find the body for a while, the man had no family. “I’m sorry… It was completely my fault.” He smiled at her.
