Sophia was born into a normal middle-class family as an only-child, her father was a business man who spent a lot of his time at work while her mother worked part-time as a dental assistant. Growing up Sophia was neither popular nor a loner and for the most part played the regular role of the American teenage girl. Growing up she was good friends with Chris Ramsey and was a little worried when she found out he was joining the army. After goodbyes Sophia graduated and went on to college to persue a career in child psychology. For a while she fell into the routine of balancing school, a part-time job, and a social life. Luckily her college isn't but an hour drive away from her childhood home. When she heard the news that Chris was coming back home she cleared her schedule for that day and eargerly awaited its arrival.

Sat in his seat for a long moment as the plane came to a stop on the Tarmac, he had been gone for fifteen months and was glad to be home. Chris' eyes wonder around before staring down at his tan boots - his fatigues in pristine condition, not even close to the combat torn ones he had in his duffle bag.

"Welcome home" said the calm voice of the pilot over the intercom, it was time. Chris would stand, let out a gentle sigh as he grabbed his duffle bag and beret. Not much changed about Chris, he still looked the same, save for the shrapnel wounds on both arms and a burn mark on his neck - he was still Chris Ramsey. As he walked away from his seat and starred down the stairs onto the Tarmac, he and the other few soldiers from the town were greeted with sob filled cheers, cracking light smiles as they looked between eachother. Chris slung the bag over his shoulder, placed the beret on his head and started to walk forwards, his boots thudding against the hard surface below him, Chris' parents were both out of town for his return but he had keys to the house - not expecting anyone in the crowed for him.

"I've gotta go, I'll be back later!" Car keys jingled against the car door of Sophia Ramsey's ride as she had a quick struggle with the handle. Finally she got it open and wasted no time in starting the engine and jetting out of her parent's driveway. She'd gone back home for the afternoon for two reasons, one being that she really missed her mother's home-cooking, not being able to cook herself Sophie had been deprived of good cooking for too long. The other reason she was home was so that she could welcome her old friend Chris home. Due to being at her college orientation she didn't get the chance to say goodbye before her left over a year ago. That was a long time to her and she was eager to hear what it was like.

Unfortunately she fell asleep in her old room while doing homework and overslept, now she was rushing and hoping not to get a ticket for speeding on the way. Despite the fact that she was still tired Sophia felt energized in a way, she always brightened up when she was with her friends, especially ones she hadn't seen in forever. She did tend to get a little shy at first since it'd been a while since they last talked to eachother but it wouldn't last long, soon she'd be the bubbly, sometimes too loud, girl she always was.

After parking it was a little hard to push past the people that were in her way to find her old friend. Finally though, Sophia managed to get to the front of the crowd, taking off her wide-eyed sunglasses she searched the faces of the soldiers getting off the plane. After another second though she was able to spot him and in as loud a voice as she could get out over the other people she yelled and started running for him. "Chris over here!"

Fixed the strap on his bag to fit snuggly on his shoulder, his face looked worn down - nothing like the youth that filled it when he left, a good amount come back with interesting tales of boring patroles and routine operations - but Chris was a Ranger, a price he paid by Excelling in basic training. Hearing someone call his name, Chris turned, his eyes scanning the crowd of faced for who it could be - as he was not expecting anyone.

Chris felt guilty, at first sight he did not immediatley know who the woman running towards him was. His heart jumped once he realized it was, Sophia. He went to highschool with her and they were pretty close friends - last he had heard she went off to college, which was good for
her.

Giving her a smile as he started walking to her, his lips looked bruised but he still put on an outward smile - glancing her over as he came closer. "Look who it is , college girl. Broke away from your busy schedual eh?" calling to her

Sophia secured her sunglasses on top her head and offered Chris the signature bright smile she'd had since she was little. "Well I figured I might as well come see you, it beats being in class all day with crabby old professors." Laughing she examined his face, it was obvious he'd changed some since he was older but Sophia could still clearly tell Chris was the same guy she remembered from highschool, which made her happy. And he had all of his limbs intact which was great.

She'd never seen any kind of war with her own eyes, and hoped she'd never have to, but if they were anything like some of the Hollywood movies people came home with missing arms and legs, if they survived at all. Shaking the vision off Sophia started to ask Chris what it was like but dismissed the idea. He'd just gotten back and she guessed he wouldn't want to talk about it right now.

"Do you have anything planned later? We have a lot to catch up on!" Sophia had a lot of questions she wanted to ask but she decided to wait until later to ask them.

(Sorry it took awhile for me to reply, my laptop broke and I'm posting from my phone -_-)
