Im wondering how many people are interested in playing a medieval war roleplay? Now I mean a literate war roleplay, with a story beyond annoying one liners that run around thinking they can kill everyone on the field alone. I mean a war roleplay where people can pick (or make, if there's enough people) their nations, wage war on each other, and that involves not just combat, but heroism, intense tactical deployment of troops, pvp combat (army strategic and person to person), the glory of victory, the humiliation of defeat, the politics and diplomacy of the nations, the propaganda, the loss war brings people - losing friends and villages, the difficult moral choices, like being ordered to raid a village with tons of scared civilians, the traumatic moments war has and battling with your fear of the brutal combat and your regrets for the taking of life, forging and breaking alliances and friendships, internal national struggle, courtship, and internal politics.
I mean a literate war story with lots of character development, descriptive troop movements, possibly pvp, where the nations are at the mercy of the PC's and the plot can be developed by them. The player thats one of your subjects can be your loyal follower, or a devious traitor. Id prefer the setting to be medieval realistic, but Fantasy can work too.
So what do people think? Is there any interest in this? There would have to be a minimum literacy requirement, but ya, what say you?
