If anyone doesn't like anything that I said in the post (such as Luxor having a sheik) please say so and I can amend it. I like to flesh out the world as we go, but that does mean that we might sometimes say something we don't all agree with. If this ever happens, just say so.

Allright. I'm going to go ahead and make my character. They may need a bit of tweaking depending on climate, but that's fine. Is it alright if I play two characters? They'll be brothers (or as close) and will mostly function as one unit, sticking together

We need to choose climate before making (well, finalising) our characters, as where they are will influence what they look like and how they behave/have behaved to survive.
