That sounds like a good idea, start with filling the roles of the central group first.... I guess once you open it up for people to play supernatural characters, people are going to jump on those. Or we could take some elements from that RP and start a new one that requires fewer players, same time ...

I think making a clan where different members want to join different factions, OR that is hedging its bets between them (a bit like the Sanada clan did, sending Nobuyuki over to Ieyasu while Masayuki joined the Ishida faction). I agree! Although I'm not too hot on the historical events of Nobunaga's rise... I'm more familiar with the period afterwards, with the mess that ensued after Hideyoshi's death. But either setting would be good for some machinating and loyalty-shifting. :) So... maybe we should focus on one samurai ...
