Re: Anonymous making a difference or making things worse?

Generally speaking, I'm not much for vigilantism. I've seen cases that I could approve of; take the recent Steubenville case during which an anonymous group has been collecting tips to expose the corruption in the case. However, the information is not necessarily as reliable as it might be otherwise...

Re: Bronies: Let's Hear Everyone Thoughts

See, here's the thing. Although I enjoy MLP:FiM, I didn't like the toys that much! Didn't think they translated them to toy form that well, didn't like Hasbro's sheer drop in quality, and just kind of preferred the art style of previous gens all around. But I work in a toy store, so I just kept seei...

Re: Bronies: Let's Hear Everyone Thoughts

Bronies definitely have a place in fur fandom -- it involves an interest in anthropomorphic animal characters, which is what furry is in its most basic form. But that doesn't mean all bronies have to consider themselves furries. I think that's all about whether you feel like you're a participant in ...

Re: Winter Rose: the garden of a wish... {Horror Interest Ch

Well, you still have the option of seeing everything in the Activity section of the game, it's just keeping track of where to post when there are that many different places (as far as I know, posts can't be moved either, but I could be wrong). If that is more of a burden to you all than otherwise, l...

Re: Bronies: Let's Hear Everyone Thoughts

Interesting that they picture a guy with a G3 pony in that article (Friendship is Magic is G4). Feel free to mock my lack of life now. :P I like MLP:FiM as well as other generations of MLP and have experience with fans that consider themselves bronies and fans that don't. I just want to note that li...

Re: Slut Shaming

I know you're unhappy, and I agree that this situation was handled poorly, but posts like this will probably only lead to another lock (note that I'm not a mod and don't speak for them; this is just my feelings and advice as a fellow user). I PMed one of the mods involved and asked them to pass my t...

Re: Failing Conditions in Forum and Chat Roleplaying

Not something I've ever done. In my personal philosophy, RP is not about winning or losing, it's about playing an enjoyable game. The drama and pressure that come along with winning or losing a collaborative, for-fun activity can be pretty high. IC, sure, there are probably going to be tasks that ca...

Re: Winter Rose: the garden of a wish... {Horror Interest Ch

As a general note, I've made some progress on mapping and background establishment. I still have a lot of planning to do, though. Need lots of fun stuff. I've been wondering, though, how I should do this on the tab. Either everything will be in one posting area (just "Rose Manor"), or I co...

Celedia- Thank you very much! I just hope I can deliver. .w.;;

Alise- You're welcome to the shadows... but one never knows what else is lurking. ;D

Re: Winter Rose: the garden of a wish... {Horror Interest Ch

Baron- But of course! <3 <3 <3

nazerathe- If everybody who's noted interest submits a profile when the game is up, I think that makes you the fifth, so yeah, stick around. :D

And this game wouldn't be complete without creepy music popping up somewhere.

Re: Winter Rose: the garden of a wish... {Horror Interest Ch

I actually haven't played Amnesia. I'm a bit afraid to, given all the hype... though I'm not actually that scared of most horror media anymore, I used to get so scared of every movie that I'd stay up all night in sheer terror, so I'm careful about scary movies and games. :P Yes, a backpack (or messe...

Re: Winter Rose: the garden of a wish... {Horror Interest Ch

Oh yeah, that's fine. No rush on the character concepts. Like I said, this is going to take me some time to work out properly. I'm working on a unique (hopefully :P) mythos for Rose Manor that will draw inspiration from multiple places. Some fairy tale elements will probably be incorporated, but I w...

Re: Winter Rose: the garden of a wish... {Horror Interest Ch

Glad you're interested! Ordinary is relative and not necessarily a prerequisite. xD And heh, thanks. "Unsettlingly charming" is what I was going for. I am open to the idea of multiple characters, but I'd like to see how many people are interested first. I'd rather the party not get too big...

Winter Rose: the garden of a wish... {Horror Interest Check}

So much interest. o_o We now have around 10 people planning to submit (10 players is probably the max I can handle here), so I'm giving them first shot. http://i50.tinypic.com/2ykas5i.png A seed without roots may wither and wither. A leaf with no sun may despair. A branch that is hewn may never rec...

Re: Does anyone use Fantasy Grounds II?

Unfortunately, no. For tabletop stuff, my only current games are on Skype, although I've always wanted to try the free program MapTool. Until I've tried that and seen whether it meets my needs, I'm avoiding spending money on a program. Have you tried MapTool? And how are you liking Fantasy Grounds s...

Re: Pozi-vibez

No problem. I might have been a bit harsh myself, but I wanted to point all that out. And that may be the case, that smiling could make you feel better (from the studies detailed, I wouldn't necessarily say "will," but certainly could) in the short run, look at the last couple of paragraph...

Re: Best anime of all time?

I'd recommend the manga more highly than the anime (just because the anime was only a 12 episode series and so obviously didn't cover as much material as a 4 volume manga), but Antique Bakery is incredibly high in my book. It has a wonderful mixture of light, humorous moments with dark and emotional...

Re: Pozi-vibez

I'm pretty sure Dealing has missed the point and said some frustrating things. That different "virtues," as Dealing puts it, are associated with men and women is part of the problem. To phrase a concept "Maybe the only decent thing is to address oneself to men of both genders ." ...

Re: Witch's Diary

I can only speak for myself, but I'm fine with it. Characters naturally evolve as they encounter more things. Valeria is a pretty new character, so I can't say for sure how she'll end up. Right now, she's obviously really naive. xD
