I think a particular order just royally screws things up, one reason being no way to regulate it and another being the fact that anyone could miss out on their turn. As long as someone's not getting ahead of themselves in relation to the other players (or screwing up on inter-character interactions)...
I went with a girl to make it as unnecessarily awful as possible, even if I don't use all that many words. (I like when people use their imaginations, so I try to leave at least something in my characters to the imagination of the reader.)
