Actually, that would be a technician. The scientist should have credibility in a certain scientific field like Chemistry, Biology, Astrophysics, Geology, Paleontology, Anthropology...etc. This requires somebody who is a super buff in one of those categories to help pull off such a character.

As long as the pictures are 100x100 pixels it should work. Unless you need help on getting the image down to that without the site distorting the image.
