New Fair Falls - Development

Well one thing any near-future city needs is a mag-lev train system, elevated a couple stories above street level. Which of course dispenses with the outdated subways, which could themselves be either incorporated into the new system, or sealed off. If they are sealed off that gives a great hideout for the unscrupulous underground, black market, human trafficking, etc...

Location: The Heights; An upper class neighborhood in every sense of the word. A network of mansions built on and suspended between skyscrapers. The residents of this area are the richest people in the city, CEO's, old money families, top paid athletes, and such. And in turn with this obvious prosperity of the rich, comes the inevitable degradation of the poor. The Middle-Low class homes built below are devoid of the light of the sun, save for dawn and dusk.

Facility of Applied Corrective Aid and Device Education, better known as FACADE. They are the label on thousands of health care products, from wrinkle reducers and antacids to prosthetic limbs and painkillers. They are also the leash holders of a man named Callister Johnson. The truth of the corporation is in the name. They are what happens when the FDA goes corporate.

Though they may make the lives of thousands of people better, there are those who are crushed beneath their heels. They care more about appearance and profit than actual health care. Every product has some side effect, but, of course, they sell a cure for that too. Staffed by some of the best inventors in the world, and protected by a veritable strike force of lawyers, FACADE is one of the largest and most dangerous companies on the globe.

The Red Light District. Much like any red light district, it's the G-spot of New Fair Falls, filled with pleasure, prostitutes and parties. Prostitution may have been legalized, but it's still the same ol' business. The only difference is it keeps the girls and guys clean and they have to be registered to work. If a person catches a disease, their license is revoked and they are no longer legal to work. It is divided into sections, not by any real map division, but more by social hierarchy within the underground world. Styled after the hierarchy of courtesans of old Italy, it begins at the top with the well-known and even respected call girls and brothels and trickles down to the Sing-Song girls trafficked in from who-knows-where and packed into small buildings with walls like paper and Neo-Techno music thumping to hide the sounds of, well, thumping.

The elite West End of the RLD is where the expensive call girls reside and the higher end exclusive brothels which often have a specialty or are known for expensive parties they throw. It is frequented by the affluent, influential, and, of course, famous who more often than not reside in The Heights.

The rest of the RLD bleeds out from the West End in a veritable layer-cake of brothels, specialty clubs, and free-agents. The further you get from the West End, the girls or guys get cheaper and the pimps get meaner. The slum of the RLD is known only as The Pit. This is where you'll find most of the foreign trafficked girls and the more shady establishments.

Tips: If you are looking for guys, the most well-known brothel is Steve's. Thus, gay men are often called Steve. If you are looking for a threesome, the best place to go is Marina Tina's. She's a little more expensive, but her girls are good. Book ahead, though! She's always busy. The Pink Martini is best known for it's themed parties. Regulars are given first-dibs at tickets before they are offered to the general public if they sell any tickets at all. Sometimes the parties are by invite only! It's a little high-end, but word is, the parties ALWAYS end well. If you have a little spicier taste in the budoir, The Black Stiletto is the place for you. And the best bang for your buck is Shirley's. It's closer to The Pit, but it's the best deal around.
