{OOC} Warhammer 30K: The Horus Heresy.

It is a time of legend.
Mighty heroes battle for the right to rale the galaxy.
The vast armies of the Emperor of Earth have conquered
the galaxy in a Great Crusade - the myriad alien races have
been smashed by the Emperor's elite warriors and wiped
from the face of history.
The dawn of a new age of supremacy for humanity beckons.
Gleaming citadels of marble and gold celebrate the many victories of the Emperor. Triumphs are raised on a million worlds to record the epic deeds of his most powerful and deadly warriors.
First and foremost amongst these are the primarchs,
superheroic beings who have led the Emperor's armies of
Space Marines in victory after victory. They are unstoppable
and magnificent, the pinnacle of the Emperor's genetic
experimentation. The Space Marines are the mightiest
human warriors the galaxy has ever known, each capable of
besting a hundred normal men or more in combat.
Organised into vast armies of tens of thousands called Legions, the Space Marines and their primarch leaders conquer the galaxy in the name of the Emperor.
Chief amongst the primarchs is Horus, called the Glorious, the Brightest Star, favourite of the Emperor, and like a son unto him. He is the Warmaster, the commander-in-chief of the Emperor's military might, subjugator of a thousand thousand worlds and conqueror of the galaxy. He is a warrior without peer, a diplomat supreme.

As the galaxy is plunged into the fires of war the mightiest heroes must make a choice: to remain loyal to the immortal Emperor or to tread the path of darkness.


The timeline is just after Davin and before Istvaan. Prospero is as of yet untouched and Fulgrim hasn't quite gone totally phsyco-crazy. However from this point on the campaign is open ended, Horus maybe evil but anything else doesn't have to happen. Chaos may win or horus's rebellion may never pick up speed it's all up to you.

Primarchs are available but I personally prefer to play a normal astartes, the 2nd and 11th legions shall remain untouched. Otherwise, custodians, sisters of silence and imperial army soldiers are fair game.

Name: Varn Geldon
Legion: Imperial Fists
Rank: Captain 6th company
Age: 257
Gender: despite the arguments to the contrary ther are no female space marines :)
Apearence: Varn is tall even for an astartes and fills his power armour. His blonde hair is shaved closely to his scalp and he has a long scar running down his right cheek from a run in with an Ork. His nose is crooked and his eyes a fierce blue.
Background: Varn lived on Terra during his life as a normal man, but that was so long ago it seems important. As an Astartes Varn gained much renown for his tactical mind and quick thinking, he quickly worked his way through the ranks of the Imperial Fists, becoming one of the youngest sergeants and then a captain at the age of 120. He has remained with his beloved 6th company ever since.
Equipment: He is equiped with Mk4 "maximus" pattern powe armour, with a Mk 3 helmet and a Mk 2 left shoulder pad
with his personal hereldary ( a skull crowned with a black laurel and an iron halo silhoueted). He weilds a lovingly modified bolter and a relic blade in the form af an two bladed axe.
Personality: Captain Varn is stubborn and grim as only a son of Dorn can be and yet he is very individualistic. He holds a great adoration and respect for both his Primarch and the Emperor. While he reveres the Emperor as a great warrior he is very wary of the new cult that has sprung up worshipping Him and with it the Word Bearers. Varn has recently been spending a lot of time with Sigismund the 1st captain as they hold many of the same views.

Right now he is fighting eldar on the world of Khalis VI, once the xenos have been beaten back he will answer his primarch's summons and head for Terra.

Name: Cavion Helpart
Legion: IX Legion Blood Angels, 3rd Company, Assualt Squad Cavion
Rank: Brother-Sergeant

Gender: Male
Apearence: Short cropped blonde hair. A face that has been described as stoic and empty at the same time. He sports a small scar cutting across his upper and lower lip near the left edge. It was a gift from an Ork Warlord. He has a single campaign stud rivetted above his right eye for his first century of service. His entire left arm is bionic but shows no sign of it while in power armor.
Background: Cavion was born on Baal Secondus. He's proud to call Baal his home, while the majority of the Legion originated on Holy Terra. He spent a relatively short time in the scouts. His demeanor and tendency to charge the enemy lines sent him straight to the assualt squads. He won numerous awards and decorations for valor, bravery and skill. His rank of sergeant was given more on merit of combat rather than merit of leadership. Cavion is certain he will never raise higher but is content to remain.
Equipment: Mk. IV Base and Frame, Yellow Painted Mk. VI "Beakie" Helmet, Mk. VI Studded Left Shoulder Plate. Jump Pack. Right Hand Power Fist, Bolt Pistol, Frag Grenades, Melta Bombs.
Personality: Cavion is brash and impatient. He hates to wait. In all things Cavion is upfront and to the point. On the battlefield his aggressive behavior can rally the entire company. The destruction of the enemy is his number one priority.

Name: Dzhark “Omega” Lithos
Legion: Night Lords (VIII)
Rank: Sergeant, 8th Company, “Lightning Ravens” (10 Man Assault Squad)
Age: 251
Gender: Male

Appearance: Dark Blue Mark IV Power Armour, with Jump Pack, and a Golden trim. Without his helmet, his face is deep set, and scarred from his early days upon Nostramo. He has almost black pupils, permanently dilated from Nostramo’s eternal night. His hair is usually fed through a hole in the top of his helmet and tied into a topknot. The distinct winged skull of the Night Lords is scattered across his armour in various places, such as his Shoulder pads, Greaves and his Jump Pack, and he also has several chains with paraphernalia hanging from them, such as icons and skulls. Other than this, he looks like a regular Space Marine.

Background: Born on Nostramo. Spent much of his time in training to be an Assault Marine, eventually becoming a Sergeant. He has been on a few xeno excursions and is used to fighting against Orks. His life before training consists of mainly thieving, murdering, plundering and fighting upon Nostramo, making him very cunning and dangerous.

Equipment: Twin Lightning Claws, Bolt Pistol, Jump Pack, Mark IV Power Armour, Krak Grenades.
Personality: Ruthless and very dedicated to Konrad Curze and the Legion. Has a very malicious mind and laughs at cruelty, due to his past.
