Personality
Laci is an incredibly passive, yet friendly girl. She seems unafraid to approach anybody, with a big and bright smile. She's rather quick to trust, and believes that everyone has a heart of gold. Some people just have a hard time showing it. She is gentle, and careful not to push people to hard to get them to show them their good side. She seems to have endless patience, which makes her very good with kids. No matter how many times you yell at her or shove her away, she will always be there with open arms. She's quick to smile or laugh, and she's always looking to make others happy. Even if it is at her down downfall. She is very selfless, always putting others' needs before her own. Sometimes she is always thinking about everyone else, and leaves herself behind. Lace has a bad habit of neglecting herself.
Laci is very sweet, and remember little things like someone's favourite colour, or their birthday. She is the kind of person that you would call in tears, and talk to all night long. She is accepting, and would never judge anyone. She is very gentle and tender. her friends often refer to her as the 'den mother' of the friend group. She keeps Stevie from getting hurt, and Stevie keeps her from trusting the wrong people. Lace loves affection, and is definetly the person to come to if you needed a hug or just some comfort.

Laci is also very intelligent. She has gone through a few boyfriends quite quickly, because they can't keep up with her intellectually and she gets bored. She loves a good challenge. She loves figuring people out. Seeing how deep they go, why they act the way they do, their hidden motivations, get past all of their layers. And when people just melt under her touch instantly, as they so often do, she gets bored. She needs someone intellectual, like her, who will play around with her and drive her crazy.
She lvoes to read and watch movies. Mostly fine literature, but she'll spend all day with a cup of tea and any book she can get her hands on. She loves puzzles, and learning new things. When she's particularly bored, she'll pick out a new instrument and learn it in under an hour.

But it's not all fun and games, being Laci. Her father demands utter perfection from her. No sign of weakness, no fraternizing with unsavory people. She walks with an air of elegance, gets perfect grades, and is perfectly charming. But that's never good enough for him. She struggles to be as perfect as possible, and sometimes she feels like all of the pressure will break her. But if she slips up, she pays dearly for it.

History
Laci was born to a powerful, very rich British man and a sweet young French girl. They married and moved to America, and had Lacianne one year later. Everything was perfect. Laci was very easygoing and sweet, even from a young age. She always did what her parents asked of her, and in return they were very loving and raised her well. She had the world in the palm of her hand. Every now and then, her father got a little overbearing but her mother always knew exactly how to deal with him. Her mother was always very concerned with their image. They had to look perfect. They had to dress perfect, look perfect, and act perfect. She would occasionally stress herself out, but Laci and her father always complied so there was never really a problem.
Laci's father had gone to Oxford, and when there he met his best friend. Stevie's father. They moved to America together, and had their children at the same time. They were neighbors and, naturally, they grew inseparable. Laci was always very timid, so bold Stevie would drag her along on her big adventures, and show her the world. Laci loved it. Had she not met the girl, she probably would've been quite the shut in. She is endlessly grateful that the strong, independent girl came into her life. Stevie brings out the best parts of Lace.

One day, her father was off on a business trip and Laci was home alone with her mother when suddenly Lace heard her mother scream. She ran downstairs, to find her mother with a gun to her head. Someone had broken into their house, and was intending to rob them. He barked at her to open the safe in her father's office. "I-I don't know the combination! Only my father does!" she answered nervously, her heart racing. She was only eight. The man growled, annoyed. "Then what use are you to me." he snarled, and shot Laci's mother. Right in front of the little girl. She went to run to her mother, and was shot right where her left leg met her pelvis. Lace passed out, and woke up in the hospital. She was only eight, and she had watched her mother die.

Her father did not take the death of his beloved wife well. Laci felt like he blamed her for her mother's death. She kind of blamed herself, too. She lost respect for herself a little. Things may have been different, had Stevie's father not died shortly after. Stevie's father was Laci's father's best friend. They had been inseparable, just like Stevie and Lace were. he had nobody to talk to about his grief- it only doubled. He started to drink. He started to lose that spark that his mother had loved so much.

He became very harsh on her, wanting everything to be perfect. Just like his wife had wanted. She put more and more pressure on Laci to be perfect. By the time she was thirteen, she had a rebellious streak. Behind her father's back, she would party with Stevie and get into trouble. but in front of her father, she was perfect, elegant, and charming. When her father found out, he beat her. He had been drinking. He would hit her and hit her, telling her that it was her fault that her mother was dead. Lace tried to hard to be perfect for her father, and every time she would step a toe out of line he would strike her right back into place. She sought out solace in Stevie, who would take her out and show her a good time. She has a bad girl deep inside of her, but really she's just a sweet girl.
She still struggles with trying to meet her father's impossible standards. She just wants to make him happy, and doesn't know why he doesn't love her. That's all she really wants.

Laci loves being with Stevie, because she feels like she can actually be herself. She can have fun. Stevie is her best friend in the world, and knows everything about her... except one thing. She and her brother have been sleeping together, and they both decided to not tell Stevie. She feels horrible about keeping it from her, though...

Evan Rachel Wood - If I Fell

If I fell in love with you
Would you promise to be true
And help me understand
'cause I've been in love before
And I found that love was more
Than just holding hands

If I give my heart to you
I must be sure
From the very start
That you would love me more than her

If I trust in you, oh please
Don't run and hide
If I love you too, oh please
Don't hurt my pride like her
'cause I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain

So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you

If I fell in love with you
Birdy - People Help The People

God knows what is hiding in those weak and drunken hearts
I guess he kissed the girls and made them cry
those Hardfaced Queens of misadventure
God knows what is hiding in those weak and sunken eyes
a Fiery throng of muted angels
Giving love and getting nothing back

People help the people
And if your homesick, give me your hand and i'll hold it
People help the people
And nothing will drag you down
Oh and if I had a brain, Oh and if I had a brain
i'd be cold as a stone and rich as the fool
That turned, all those good hearts away

God knows what is hiding, in that world of little consequence
Behind the tears, inside the lies
A thousand slowly dying sunsets
God knows what is hiding in those weak and drunken hearts
I guess the loneliness came knocking
No on needs to be alone, oh save me

People help the people
And if your homesick, give me your hand and i'll hold it
People help the people
Nothing will drag you down
Oh and if I had a brain, Oh and if I had a brain
I'd be cold as a stone and rich as the fool
That turned, all those good hearts away

People help the people
And if your homesick, give me your hand and I'll hold it
People help the people
Nothing will drag you down
Oh and if I had a brain, Oh and if I had a brain
I'd be cold as a stone and rich as the fool
That turned, all those good hearts away

So begins...

Stevie’s eyes fluttered open and immediately, she squeezed them shut hoping and praying that she could wake up, because she knew where she was. She was trapped in yet another nightmare that would leave her completely paralyzed with fear and eventually she’d wake up scream. She desperately tried to grasp for the memory buried deep in her subconscious mind. Where the hell had she fallen asleep last night?

But, before she had a chance to remember, a chilling howl, like a mirror shattering in a million tiny pieces, broke the silence. She glanced around the dark forest, she’d been here so many times before. She knew the only way to escape was if she ran. So she started off through the forest. She knew the layout like the back of her hand, but this time it was different and that made her heart beat in her chest like a drum and she could hear I in her ears.

The howls were closing in on her and she froze when she saw the piercing gray eyes that glowed in the shadows. She took slow cautious steps back words, keeping her eyes locked with the eyes in the shadows. Something about those eyes calmed her racing hard and slowed her frantic breathing. She stopped as a wolf emerged from the shadows. She wanted to pull her eyes away from him but she couldn’t, she needed to run but she was frozen.

Then the fear returned as the wolves eyes darted to something that stood behind her and she could feel the atmosphere shift and her heart started to race again. The wolves low growl sent chills through her entire body.

“It’s him.” she breathed as arms wrapped around her, submerging her into a dark hell.
---
Stevie shot up, screaming almost the instant the scream escaped her lips a hand covered her mouth tightly, causing her to close her eyes realizing this time she was really awake and the hand covering her mouth was gentle. She glanced to Seth as he dropped his hand and looked over her with a sigh. Stevie struggled to relax and get her breathing under control as she looked around realizing she wasn’t at home.

“Seth, where the hell are we?” she said still a bit breathless.

He didn’t answer right away which irritated her but, she waited watching as he casually pulled out a cigarette and lit it, taking a long inhale from it before releasing a cloud of smoke and turning to her holding her eyes.

“You have to promise me you’re not going to freak, alright babe?” he smirked and she raised a brow, Seth only called her babe, when he knew she’d freak out. But, she nodded anyways, glancing around the room once more before looking to him, waiting for him to answer. “Last night...something happened.” He said obviously dancing around the subject. “You’re going to have to stay her a while. He sighed passing her the cigarette, but surprisingly she shoved his hand away.

“Fuck that, no way in hell I’m staying here. I’m going home.” She spat “And where’s Laci.” She said realizing her friend wasn’t attached to her hip like always.

“I wouldn’t do that Vie.” Seth said standing up and grabbing her arm stopping her as she reached for the door. “Trust me, if you just cooperate, things will be a lot easier on you.” He said gripping her arm tightly.

“Seth, let go of me.” She said in a threatening tone, glaring at her twin. “Laci and I are leaving.” She said seriously. “With or without you.” She hissed ripping her arm away as she reached for the door knob. “Damn it.” She breathed as she started to feel something burning on her side. She lifted up her shirt, seeing bite marks, that looked infected. She glanced back to her brother. “Care to explain, what the hell I got attacked by?!” She whisper yelled.

“I told you not to freak sis.” He shrugged like it was no big deal as he placed his cigarette to his lips taking another drag.

Luke was always really careful when it came to deal with humans. He’d trained himself to keep his temper under control, because the outcome of a human being attacked by a changling like himself, let alone seeing one, could result in excommunication from your pack especially when you were the Alpha’s son.

But, last night at the club him and his younger brother had gotten into a pretty bad fight and when their friend tried breaking it up, it resulted in two humans getting attacked. Which meant now him and Danny were having to deal with the consequences. They’d have to look after the girls until they’d full transitioned into wolves. They’d have to teach them how to shift in secret and hunt. All while keeping it a secret from their pack.

Luke was pissed at himself. He shouldn’t have fought with Danny, he should have controlled himself. There was no way they’d be able to hide the girls, right under their packs nose, it was practically a suicide mission. One that they had no choice but to try and fulfil.

Lucas hadn’t slept all night, he’d been to stressed to try and sleep. They’d had to sneak the girl out to the guest house and now they were going to have to keep them locked away. He was coming back from his long much need walk through the woods that surrounded his packs den house. The sun was just starting to come up, which meant the girls would most likely be waking up any minuet.

“Luca?” he heard a soft voice causing him to look up to see Jessica and he sighed, great just what he needed. “You never came in last night.” She said holding his eyes. “I missed you.” She said crossing her arms in front of her shivering softly as a cool breeze ruffled her long brown hair.

He closed the distance between them pressing his lips against her forehead gently. “I just have a lot on my mind, my father’s been a real ass hole lately.” He lied flawlessly. “Why don’t you go back inside, you should be asleep.” He sighed.

“Promise me you’ll come inside.” She said leaning up to kiss him, but he avoided the kiss and kissed her cheek instead. Jessica was a sweet girl, but his father had only picked her, because she’d be a passive Alpha female, making it easy for Lucas to control to pack without her trying to put her two cents in. Luke’s father was very much all about the Alpha male being in control

“Okay.” He said calmly, He tried to be nice to her, because he knew she wasn’t exactly happy about their arraignment, but it was their responsibility. “I’ll be in this afternoon.” He said and with that the female wolf turned and headed back inside and Luke headed to the guest house.

It was quite inside, except for some whispering that was coming from the room he’d put Seth sister in. His brother wasn’t in there and he silently wondered where he was. It was just as much his responsibility to deal with the girl he’d bitten as it was Luke’s responsibility to deal with the young blonde he’d bitten. So silently he slipped into the room and sat in a chair next to the bed as he waited for her to wake up.

Laci kept reliving it. It was like her brain was trying to make sense of what happened, but patches were just blocked out. She had seen Seth trying to break up a fight, and was terrified that he was going to get hurt. She moved closer, but in the blink of an eye something clamped down on her shoulder, causing searing pain to spread it's way through her body. She kept feeling the bite, over and over again. It was like her brain was trying to get her to notice something, but she was too distracted by the pain. Lace couldn't focus on anything else. Usually she was very good at keeping her mind calm, even in the most stressful or crazy situations, but the pain in her shoulder was unlike anything she had felt before. Not that it was the worst pain she had been in her entire life, but this pain was... different. It was almost like her entire body reacted to it immediately.

Lace twitched slightly in her sleep, crumpled on the bed. Her hands trembled ever so slightly. She continued sleeping for a few moments after someone entered the room. She heard the noise, but somehow her mind found a way to just incorporate the noise into her dream.
Laci's clear blue eyes finally fluttered open. She let out a tiny little yawn, and attempted to prop herself up on her elbows to take in her surroundings. Immediately a sharp pain flooded her. She let out a light yelp, and fell back to the bed. She tugged down the side of her shift slightly, to reveal a deep bite into her flesh. A bite that did not look like it was healing very well... at all.

So her dream was real. But what bit her? Surly it couldn't have been a human. Humans can't do that much damage. Laci gingerly put her shirt back into place, and covered the bite with her hand. It was warm. How odd... Her bones ached, too. It felt like every bone in her body was under an immense amount of pressure.
She carefully sat up, and finally had a real look around her. It was definitely unfamiliar to her. Someone had brought her here.

That was when she noticed him. Somehow, she had managed to look right over him before. For some reason, part of her felt safe with him there.

She didn't say anything at first. Her gentle, sky blue eyes just studied him. Her face was open and curious, and to her surprise she wasn't afraid. Well, he's very, very attractive. He must've been the person who brought me here after I got hurt. he could've have been the one to hurt me- maybe he was trying to help, so he brought me here? Laci thought her herself, reading his body language and facial expressions. He appeared to be annoyed, but it didn't necessarily seem aimed at her. He had the most stunning eyes, and a strong facial structure that surpassed that of most other humans that she had met or seen. And for some reason, she had no idea who he was, but he made her feel safe.

"I-I'm Laci. And you are?" Lace asked softly, being her usual, polite self. She offered a soft, unsure smile.
Stevie! Oh, Stevie!! She had been in her dream too! She must've gotten hurt too!!! Worried, she looked around the room again once more, as if she was hiding, and looked towards the door. "Have you seen my friend?? Uhm, she has long blonde hair and really pretty eyes. She looks like a gothic version of me?" She asked nervously, worried that Stevie was hurt and alone somewhere.

She carefully adjusted herself, swinging her legs over the side of the bed that he was sitting in front of. She turned her big blue bambi eyes on him, biting down on her lip. "I'm terribly sorry to be a bother. I-I'm just worried about her."

Lace paused, and glanced at her shoulder before looking back up at him. "Do you know what happened? Thank you for getting me out of there."

Daniel paced behind the guest house. He had asked for Seth to look over the human that he bit, although he already wasn't planning on going anywhere. Of course, he ended up biting his friend's twin sister. He was probably going to murder him later. It looked like he had some sort of attachment the other human, Luke's, too.

Danny knew what was going to follow in suit now that he had a defenseless changelings to take care of. Not to mention the attatchment- he already felt somewhat tender towards her, and very protective. A natural response, that annoyed the hell out of him. Couldn't he, for once, just pick out someone he liked and hang out with them?

He knew that there would be many other connections and bonding that would naturally happen, even if they hated each other. He had to help her shift, which was going to be very, very painful for her. He felt bad, knowing that the next month or so of her life was going to be hell. It wasn't just the first shift that he had to help her through- it was all of the others, until she could shift without any pain. Not to mention the full moon. Who knew what would happen there.

Dan hated responsibility. He hated feeling tied down. This was pretty much as tied down as wolves could get. Well, other than having pups. He was going to have to take care of this human, and she deserved better. Anyone would deserve better.

Although, he felt bad for Luke's human too. Luke could be a real ass and she looked pretty... fragile. But he knew that his brother would take care of her. He may be a bit crude to her, but he'd make sure she was okay. He was, after all, significantly more responsibly than him. Between the two, his human was definetly more his type. More durable. Not to mention, she was hot.

With a deep groan, he made his way back into the guest house and into the room where he had put down the human- Seth called her Stevie, right? Cute.

He entered the room, to see him human up and looking very unhappy. She caught her asking her twin what had happened and internally flinched a little. He did feel bad- she was probably in pain because of him. Her body was changing. Her sight becoming progressively better, her hearing getting better, stuff like that. Things that he loved about being a wolf, but to a human would be overwhelming. Not to mention, she was going to have to go through her first shifting, which would be an unimaginable pain.

"So. How much has your brother told you?" Dan asked nonchalantly, glancing at Seth before looking back at Stevie. She did have the most beautiful eyes that he'd ever seen. It her hair looked so beautiful- it looked like golden silk. Not to mention, she had an amazing body.

Stevie heard the door open and glanced to the guy who walked in, she was immediately taken by him. He was gorgeous and she had to remind herself what was going on and when she realized where she was again, the burning on her side became more like a stabbing pain and she groaned miserably.

"So. How much has your brother told you?" he spoke an she glanced to him.

It was irritating how nonchalant the two of them were acting about the situation. Like she’d simply fallen got a small cut on her knee. It was ridiculous. She didn’t even know this guy, it was fueling her anger and Stevie’s temper was bad news if you were on the receiving end. She opened her mouth to speak until there was a stabbing pain where the bite was, that stole the breath from her lungs, causing her to gasp for air, before she dropped to her knees, doubling over in pain.

“Don’t fight it Vie.” She heard her brother speak and she wanted to scream at him, but she was in too much pain, too think about anything but the throbbing and agonizing pain that was running through her body at the moment. “She just woke up, I haven’t told her anything.” She heard Seth answer the guys question for her. “Be gentle Danny, she’ll kick your ass.” Seth Smirked wickedly. “I’ll be back.” he said slipping out of the room leaving the two of them alone.

The pain finally passed after a moment and Stevie managed to stand back up, leaning against the wall heavily for support. Struggling to catch her breath, she was pissed at Seth for leaving her alone, but she pushed the thoughts from her mind as she turned her two toned eyes on the dark haired guy.

“Danny is it?” she spat harshly, her voice rare, making it obvious she was still in pain. “You wanna tell me who the fuck you are and why the hell I’m here, because I’m really close to kicking the shit out of you and my brother.” She said honestly holding his brilliantly eyes, that made it almost impossible for her to stay mad, but her pain was fueling her anger more than anything else. “Where the hell is Laci and don’t tell me she’s not here. If you hurt her I’ll murder you.” She said honestly.

Luke heard her stir in the bed, but he didn’t look up. He kept his head down and his eyes focused on the ground below him. He was going to have to try and control his sarcastic comments. The girl he’d managed to attack, seemed fragile and soft spoken and he wasn’t exactly the nice person in the world, especially considering the circumstances.

He could already feel the attachment between them. It was different from any other human he’d ever bitten. He’d turned Seth and he’d felt the attachment right away, he’d protected him and taught him everything he knew, Seth might as well be him and Dan’s younger brother, oddly enough his father had excepted him right away, but that was because Seth already had the characteristics of a wolf even before he was turned and Seth had been dying, they hadn’t just turned him to turn him, they’d turned him to save his life. But, there was a different feeling with this girl, it wasn’t just an attachment, it was a feeling of needing to be with her and that scared him, so he’d pushed the thought as far back as possible.

He’d already convinced himself that once she was adapted and her process was complete as hard as it would be and no matter how much it would hurt both of them, he’d have to cut their ties. There was just too much at stake for him to lose if her father found out that he’d turned her. He’d teach her and then he’d have to let her go, it was the only way.

"I-I'm Laci. And you are?" her voice pulled him from his thought and he finally forced himself to glance up at her and he held her bright blue eyes with his own dark ones. She was incredibly beautiful.

For the first time since he’d bitten her, he actually looked at her. She was possibly the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen and her smile made him want to smile, it was contagious, but instead he just sighed keeping his eyes on her, waiting for her to speak again. "Have you seen my friend?? Uhm, she has
long blonde hair and really pretty eyes. She looks like a gothic version of me?"
he raised a brow, thinking for a moment, she must be talking about Daniel’s victim. He didn’t envy his brother, because that girl looked impossible, she just radiated bitch, and from what Seth had told them, she was a handful.

He didn’t answer her, just kept quiet and continued to watch her as she swung her legs over the edge of the bed and sat in front of him. He sighed knowing he’d have to explain everything and that wasn’t something he was looking forward to. Humans didn’t exactly take well to things they couldn’t explain.

"I'm terribly sorry to be a bother. I-I'm just worried about her." this girl was way too polite and he almost felt bad for her considering how much of an ass he was, to everyone. "Do you know what happened? Thank you for getting me out of there."

He let silence fall between them for a moment, trying to pick his words wisely. He sighed, trying to remember not to be so sarcastic, she kind of reminded him of a little girl and so he tried to put it in that perspective, that she was simply a pup and not a girl he’d attack. Because if he thought of it as having to take care of her, because of his stupid mistake he’d be bitter towards her.

“Stevie’s fine.” He said simply, holding her gaze. “Probably sore, but she’ll be fine.” He shrugged. “Laci right?” he said as if he hadn’t heard her say her name and he was just guessing. “What happened is I’m an idiot.” He shook his head. “I’m not going to sugar coat this for you princess, there’s no other way to put it then your turning into a monster.” That sounded impossibly stupid, he thought to himself. “Listen, I’m a wolf. I bite you. Now your turning into one.” He explained. “Believe it or don’t believe it, but that’s what’s going on.” He said running his hands through his hair, stating to get frustrated. “You’re going to have to stay here for a while, with me, so I ca help you.” He said keeping her gaze.

The male didn't answer her for a few minutes. Laci patiently waited, her bright blue eyes studying him. His eyes captivated her, and she could stare into them all day. He just watched her as she spoke, and he appeared to be thinking. She felt so connected to him, even though she was sure that they had never met before last night. It was the oddest sensation. But then again, a lot of things were quite odd here. The bite, the aching bones, the fact that she was in some random person's bed, and this stunning creature was sitting in front of her, looking quite annoyed with himself.

Finally, he spoke. “Stevie’s fine. Probably sore, but she’ll be fine.” Laci let out a long breath, she her posture relaxed slightly. Stevie must be here too... was she hurt like her? She had to find her. But at least she was okay. That was all that really mattered. The guy in front of her shrugged, so she was sure that even if she was hurt, it was nothing for her to get herself worked up about.

“Laci right?” He asked, and she nodded softly with a gentle smile. “What happened is I’m an idiot.” He shook his head, and Laci's brow furrowed. Did he have something to do with the animal bite on her shoulder? He must, but there was no way a human could've done it. “I’m not going to sugar coat this for you princess, there’s no other way to put it then your turning into a monster.” Laci blinked, and shifted unsurely. Her heart sank, knowing this was not going to turn out very well.

“Listen, I’m a wolf. I bite you. Now your turning into one.” He told her, and her mind reeled. A wolf? That would explain the bite... a wolf was the perfect size to make that bite on her shoulder. But how would a wolf have gotten into the club? Logically speaking, he couldn't be a wolf... right? “Believe it or don’t believe it, but that’s what’s going on. You’re going to have to stay here for a while, with me, so I can help you.”

Laci leaned back, her brow furrowing and her eyes falling to the floor as he thought. Her mind sorted through all of the puzzle pieces that she had been given, trying to make the scenario fit in any other way. Objectively speaking, it was the only thing that really made sense. She tugged down the side of her shirt, looking over the bite. It definitely had to have been a wolf. And something about him made her trust him, and feel safe. Well, what was the worst that could happen? he was actually crazy and chopped her up into little bits? She highly doubted it. "I... I believe you." She told him in wonderment, her sky coloured eyes wide.

Almost as soon as she spoke, a wave of agony tore through her. She let out a quick whimper and jerked forward, collapsing in front of the person who had still yet to even introduce himself. Laci couldn't breathe as she felt like every bone in her body was breaking, then mending themselves again. She trembled, not knowing what was going on or why she was in so much pain. Her eyes closed tightly, and her jaw clenched. It was like being shot all over again.

Danny studied the girl carefully, fighting a smile. The situation was terrible, no doubt, but he was happy with his human. This was going to be fun. Before he could say anything else, Stevie doubled over in agony. He winced very slightly, although it wasn't obvious enough that neither Seth nor Stevie would've picked up on it.

He gently put his arm under both of hers, keeping her up and taking the strain of having to hold herself off of her. In her pain, he was sure she wouldn't notice. Although he would usually scoff at the idea of doing this to some girl, he did feel guilty about the pain he was causing her. The pain that would endure. He had changed her entire life, in just one stupid moment.

As the pain slowly eased up on her, he pulled away and leaned against the wall. “She just woke up, I haven’t told her anything.” Seth answered Danny, and he nodded. Great. That left all the explaining to him. “Be gentle Danny, she’ll kick your ass. I’ll be back.” Danny laughed, looking forward to the fight that she was going to put up. Easy girls were so boring. "Check on my brother and that other girl, would you?" He called out to Seth as he was leaving.

“Danny is it?” Stevie practically snarled and her, and Dan grinned in response. "You can call me anything you want, beautiful." He winked at her, looking to get a rise from her. “You wanna tell me who the fuck you are and why the hell I’m here, because I’m really close to kicking the shit out of you and my brother.”
Danny laughed. "Oh, I've got a feisty one alright." He grinned at her, but danced around her question. “Where the hell is Laci and don’t tell me she’s not here. If you hurt her I’ll murder you.” Stevie's voice was deadly serious. Dan sighed, and sat down on the bed.

"I'm assuming Laci is a little blonde that you were with? She's fine. She's in good hands... well, probably." He laughed, thinking of how much of an ass his brother could be. But the idea of causing Stevie any pain broke his heart, even though he'd never admit it, and he knew it was probably the same for his brother. He put his hand on the wall, and let his sarcastic flityness fall away a bit. "Don't worry. She's okay." He told her, just as they caught a whimper come from the other side of the wall. Knowing Stevie was going to bolt for her, he put his back against the door before she could move. He put his hands up, and tried to calm her down. "She really is okay. But she's going through the same thing as you."

He let out a deep breath, debating how to phrase it so she wouldn't think that he was insane. "Well, look. I know this is going to sound crazy but think about it. Look at that bite mark. A human sure as hell didn't do that. And how would an animal have gotten into the club? And since you're probably not in labor, why are you in so much pain? You're changing into the same thing that I am. That Seth is. That Laci is, now. A werewolf."

Stevie hadn’t missed his stupid, flirty comments, she’d just chose to ignore them because she really wasn’t in the mood for his dumb games. If she was being completely honest with herself, had they met under different circumstances, she’d probably have fallen for his clichĂ©d charm. But, because of the situation all she wanted to do was punch him in the face.

"I'm assuming Laci is a little blonde that you were with? She's fine. She's in good hands... well, probably." He laughed, which only irritated her more. "Don't worry. She's okay." She found the hard to believe and almost as soon as he’d finished saying she was okay, her ears caught Laci’s small whimper, which only put her on high alert and as if he predicted what she’d do, Dan had pressed his back against the door as if to block it, causing her to roll her eyes. In pain or not, if Stevie wanted to get past Danny, she would no problem. "She really is okay. But she's going through the same thing as you."

Something about him, made her trust what he was saying, despite not wanting to. So she didn’t move, just kept her eyes on him. She felt drawn to him, and even from across the room the heat between them was unmistakable, almost intoxicating and the pain in her side, was the only thing causing her to ignore that feeling. She watched him take a deep breath and there was a seriousness about his face that made her stomach twist, like he was just about to tell her that Seth was dead, despite the fact she knew that wasn’t true. But, the way he looked sure as hell made it seem like he was about to tell her something equally as bad. She kept her eyes focused on him.

"Well, look. I know this is going to sound crazy but think about it. Look at that bite mark. A human sure as hell didn't do that. And how would an animal have gotten into the club? She raised a brow listening to him already thinking he was crazy. “And since you're probably not in labor, why are you in so much pain? You're changing into the same thing that I am. That Seth is. That Laci is, now. A werewolf."

Stevie had to fight back a laugh. Was this guy serious? Was all she could think of, how did he possibly expect her to believe that she was turning into a werewolf. She was rational and she hadn’t believed in fairytales since her childhood had been ripped from her years ago. Though his face was unchanging and she just rolled her eyes pushing off the wall, ignoring the pain for a moment.

“Alright, Twilight.” She smirked tauntingly, as she walked across the room closing the distance between them, until she was standing right into front of him. There was a dangerous look in her eyes and a wicked smirk pained on her pail lips. “Prove it.” She challenged crossing her arms in front of her.

"I... I believe you." she finally spoke and he looked up at her confused. She was even crazier than him if she just believed him. Anyone else would have assumed he was crazy and that was part of the reason they didn’t tell humans. He took it as her being more sarcastic with him then genuine, like usual jumping to conclusions.

He opened his mouth to speak but before he could get his sarcastic comment out, she let out an agonizing whimper as she collapsed on the floor in front of him. Immediately, he was at her side, picking her up and placing her in the bed. He wasn’t really good at being gentle. But, he knew the transition would be painful for her and because he was so bound to her already, it was almost like her could feel her pain.

He laid her on the bed and pulled the blankets back over her, glancing to the door as it opened. Seth gave him a smirk and he only rolled his eyes.

“Don’t start.” He said plainly as he sat back down in the chair. “Why don’t you just walk your ass right back out the door.” Luke spat.

“Calm down, I didn’t say anything, Mr. sensitive.” Seth smirked. “How’s blonde doing?” He asked a little more serious.

“First wave just hit her, after this, she should be good for a while, until tonight that is.” He shrugged. “How’s your sister?” he asked looking from his friend to the girl in the bed, with a sigh.

“She’s my sister, she’s going to be a bitch. Just be happy you have Lace.” Seth said and he knew he’d said a little too much, just by the way he’d said Laci’s name, because Luke gave him a look and Seth just shrugged it off, before making up an excuse and slipping out of the room.

Luke wasn’t stupid, he was good at catching on to small things. Like the loving way Seth had said Laci, like she was more than just a girl or the way he said his sister’s name. He could read peoples voices well. He tried not to think about the fact that Laci and Seth probably had history. He hadn’t missed the way Seth opted to carry her last night over his sister and it had been Danny who’d carried Stevie instead of her own brother. He sighed irritated at the thought as the pieces quickly came together.

“You two together?” he asked, though the words were harsh then he’d meant them to be.

Lacianne appreciated the male putting her back into the bed and putting the covers over her, but she was in too much pain to say anything. She closed her eyes, her body tense and filled with too much agony to do anything. She said there, unmoving with her eyes closed, until it had finally passed. Her body still ached and her bite burned, but at least it was over. For now, at least.

Lace's sky blue eyes fluttered open, and she looked over to the male and saw Seth. He must have entered while she was still in pain- she hadn't even noticed him come in. But what was he doing here? She figured Seth probably knew him, given how he was the one who tried to break up the fight that he was in, but did he know about the bite? She vaguely remembered him coming towards her after the bite, but that was about it.

“She’s my sister, she’s going to be a bitch. Just be happy you have Lace.” Laci glanced between the two males, and winced when she saw the look Seth received. The tone in Seth's voice made her want to smile and make some sort of noise so he knew she was awake, but she knew that it would jeopardize what they had decided to keep a secret.

Instead, she kept quiet as he quickly made an excuse and left the room. She avoided the other male's gaze, pursing her lips and starting at a picture across from her as though it suddenly fascinated her.

“You two together?” Laci's blue eyes widened slightly, and a soft blush lit up her cheeks as she flinched slightly. She looked over at him, but didn't quite meet his eyes. He seemed pretty... annoyed. The way he asked was pretty harsh. "N-no..." She answered, biting her lip. It wasn't really a lie- her and Seth weren't technically together. At least she didn't think so. The lines were pretty blurred.

Lace looked up at him, still blushing slightly. Something about him just made her want to tell him everything, but she couldn't risk Stevie finding out. And anyways, he had seemed pretty irritated. A part of her wondered why- and she was still curious as to why he was here in the first place. But she decided that asking him more about Seth would make her look even more guilty. If she didn't already have guilty written all over her face.

"Y-you never introduced yourself." She pointed out, trying to change the subject. But it was a valid point. She had introduced herself right away, but he hadn't mentioned his own name at all.

“Alright, Twilight.” Danny leaned against the door, crossing his arms over his chest as the girl walked towards him. When she was standing right before him, he couldn't help but allow a flirty smile to form on his lips. "Prove it." Stevie watched him, and he winked at her. "Don't say I didn't warn you, beautiful."

He stepped around her, to the middle of the room, and before her eyes shifted into a grand wolf with piercing blue eyes. He stood quite proudly, and under any other circumstances he would be nervous to be in his wolf form around someone he could easily hurt. But when wolves are in their wolf form, they follow instinct. And right now, since she was his changeling, his instinct was to protect her.

He padded towards her, his ears flicking towards the wall that separated him and his brother, and stopped right in front of her. his head was low, and his eyes unsure, as though he thought she might freak out. He laid down, trying his best to not make himself seem like a threat.

His ears flicked towards the door again. He was afraid his brother heard and would come barging in. It was no secret to the pack that when Dan was in his wolf form, he became very unpredictable and had a hard time controlling himself. Even front a young age, he would be play fighting with another wolf and out of nowhere turn very serious and hurt the other wolf. Even if he cared about them, and would never actually want to hurt them. He wasn't sure why it happened, but it did. His father always said he needed an 'anchor'. Something to remind him to be sensible. Something that linked him to his human self. But then again, Dan hated his father. He had forced a mate upon him, expecting her to be his 'anchor'. Real shocking- she wasn't.

Danny snorted, and shook out his thick coat. He returned to his clothing, which were in a heap in the middle or the floor, and shifted back to his human form in front of her. Shamelessly, he looked over at her as he redressed himself. "See something you like?"

With a sigh, he sat down on the bed. "I'll give you a minute to reevaluate the meaning of life, and all of that. Then, if you'd like, I might see if it's alright for you to see Laci for a minute. The both of you shouldn't have any more waves for a little bit, so nothing particularly interesting should be going on."

"Don't say I didn't warn you, beautiful." Stevie rolled her eyes as he walked around her to the center of the room and she turned to face him.

She watched as he shifted, into a large gray and white wolf and she raised a brow. It didn’t really shock her as much as it should have, she actually hated the fact that him showing her the fact that he really was a werewolf made him more attractive and she found that irritating. She had a boyfriend or kind of one for the most part.

He walked towards her and something told her she should be fearful of him, but there wasn’t one bit of her that was scared of him, it was almost as if she knew he wouldn’t hurt her. She trusted him, which was an odd feeling for Stevie considering she didn’t trust anyone aside from Lace and her brother, especially people who could turn into wolves and were keeping her held hostage in a damn bedroom.

She smirked as she watched him shift back into his wolf form. He was completely naked and she raised a brow, looking him over. She found it quite amusing that he wasn’t ashamed, he was blunt, much like her and she liked that about him.

"See something you like?" He said and she only rolled her eyes, there was a lot she liked, but she wasn’t going to admit that. "I'll give you a minute to reevaluate the meaning of life, and all of that. Then, if you'd like, I might see if it's alright for you to see Laci for a minute. The both of you shouldn't have any more waves for a little bit, so nothing particularly interesting should be going on."

She knit her eye brows together. “Please, I don’t need to reevaluate anything, I’ve seen crazier hit then that on an acid trip, your little puppy dog trick was nothing princess.” She smirked. “It was pretty hot though, I’ll give you that.” She said keeping her eyes on him. “Wait a second, did you say Seth is one of you?” she asked, his words registering to her all of a sudden. “He’s so dead.” She spat as she quickly slipped out of the bedroom, before Danny could stop her.

It wasn’t hard to find, Seth. He was sitting on the couch, smoking a cigarette. He glanced up to Stevie as she was coming straight for him and he stood up quickly already knowing what was coming. In all honesty, Seth and Stevie fought a lot and their fights were pretty rough and that’s why Stevie scared off most people, because she could beat the shit out of her brother.

“Stevie, relax.” Seth said thought knowing it would only piss her off more. She closed the distance quickly, waiting now time throwing a punch only, Seth predicted it stopping her and quickly taking control of the situation slamming her roughly into the nearest wall and pinning her against it tightly.

“Your fucking ass hole!” She screamed and he tightened his grip on her. “Why didn’t you tell me.” She spat. “That your one of them, I tell you everything and you keep shit like this from me.” She said hurt, that he’d kept it from her.

“I did it to protect you Stevie.” He spat back. “You wouldn’t understand this world, I didn’t want you to be a part of it.” He said honestly.

“Yeah well a lot of good it did you protecting me, because I’m one now.” She said using all her strength to push him off of her. She glanced around seeing that Danny, Laci, and some other guy were in the room watching what was going on and she sighed, glancing to Laci. “I’m sorry babe.” She sighed, knowing Laci hated it when her and Seth fought.

He hated that it hadn’t even been twenty four hours and he was already feeling more protective of her then he normally did, when he turned a human, then again she was only the third human he’d ever turned. He sighed not exactly wanting her to answer, because if she said yes, he knew himself well enough to know he’d start hating Seth until they got into a fight about it.

"Y-you never introduced yourself." she said nervously obviously trying to change the subject and it irritated him that she hadn’t answered, but he didn’t want to hear her actually say yes and so just by her avoiding it, he knew that there was something between them, but he didn’t push the subject.

“Lucas.” He said glancing up to her “My dad owns the club you and your friend stupidly snuck into.” He said agitated. “It was pretty stupid of you guys and you wouldn’t be in this situation if you hadn’t snuck in.” he shook his head looking away.

He sighed running his hands through his hair, before he glanced to the door hearing a scream from what sounded like the other girl they’d brought home last night and he let out a frustrated groan. He glanced to Laci.

“Stay here.” He ordered, but he had a feeling that she wouldn’t listen especially since it was her best friend. He stood up quickly making his way towards the door and slipping out into the living room in time to see Seth pinning his sister against the wall as they argued and he simply rolled his eyes not bothering to stop the argument.

Laci shifted, sensing that he was agitated. But... to be honest, she didn't want to tell him. Not yet, at least. She felt quite attached to him and didn't want anything to get in the way of that. She bit her lip, and sat up. She knew it was silly- she barely even knew the person sitting in front of her.

"Lucas." He answered her question, and smiled. Lucas. "Lovely to meet you, Lucas." She couldn't help but smile as she said it. She loved the way his name sounded.
“My dad owns the club you and your friend stupidly snuck into.” Lace flinched a little at this one. Even though it was all Stevie's idea, she certainly wasn't going to throw her under the bus. Laci was known to take the blame for some of the things Stevie did without her best friend knowing. “It was pretty stupid of you guys and you wouldn’t be in this situation if you hadn’t snuck in.” Lucas told her, and she pursed her lips and nodded. "I know."

Before either of them could say anything else, the tow heard a scream from the either room. It was clearly Stevie. "Stay here." Lucas ordered her, and had it been any other scream she would've obeyed. But it was Stevie. She had to make sure she was okay.

She followed him out of the room, and into the living room where Seth had Stevie pinned. Her heart rate jumped and she quickly moved towards them, but by the time she got to them they had already broken apart. “I’m sorry babe.” Her best friend murmured to her, and Lace managed to muster up a half smile. "It's alright." She whispered in response. She was just happy to see that the other female was alright.

As usual, Lace was the one to patch them up after their particularly brutal fights. She looked over Stevie, noting that there was a bruise on her shoulder but it wasn't bad. Her eyes trailed down to a small amount of dried blood on the hem of her shirt. She flinched, knowing it was from the bite that she had received. Her pale blue eyes flicked over to the dark haired male, before she moved on to check Seth for any wounds. She stood on her toes, gently turning his head to search for an expected bruise. Stevie was known to be the first one to throw a punch. Laci flushed, noting their very close proximity. Not wanting Lucas to get the wrong idea, she quickly backed up to Stevie's side.

"What were you two fighting about this time." Laci looked up to her best friend, with a little teasing smile. She glanced over to Seth again, when it hit her. Why was he here? Her brow furrowed, as she remembered him coming into the room when that wave of pain hit her. She had been too flustered and in pain to notice it before, but he knew exactly what she was going through. As though he had gone through the same thing...

"Oh, Seth." Lace's voice came out in a breathy whisper, as she covered her mouth with her hand. He was a werewolf? And he had kept if from both Stevie and her? She could understand why, but it still stung. She knew he was no stranger to keeping secrets, but he knew everything there was to know about her. She had thought that she knew the same about him.

Unlike how Stevie lashed out, Laci's looked down and refused to meet anyone else's eyes. She quietly turned away, breezing past Stevie and Lucas as she made her way back to the room she had been brought to without another word.

“Please, I don’t need to reevaluate anything, I’ve seen crazier hit then that on an acid trip, your little puppy dog trick was nothing princess.” Danny laughed as Stevie shot back a witty comment at him. Oh, he liked her. She was feisty. “It was pretty hot though, I’ll give you that.” She told him, earning herself a charming grin and a wink. "I can only imagine the beauty you'll be when you shift." He really liked her. He wasn't sure if it was the bond created, given that he had bitten her, or just that he loved her personality. He had never bitten a human, so he had nothing to compare it to.

“Wait a second, did you say Seth is one of you?” Stevie suddenly stopped, and Dan flinched. This isn't going to go over well. “He’s so dead.” She spat, quickly leaving the room. Shit. This really isn't going to turn out well. He sighed, and followed right behind her.

He was a little worried that Seth would accidently hurt her, given how protective he already was of her, but he could tell that she was more than able to take care of herself. “Stevie, relax.” Seth stood up, clearly knowing what was about to happen. He pinned his sister against the wall roughly, and Danny let out a very wolf-like snarl. "Watch it, Seth." He growled, taking a step closer but staying out of it. He knew Stevie could take care of it but it still pissed him off, seeing Seth get rough with her.

He looked over his shoulder, seeing his brother and his changeling make their way over to him to see what was going on. "Everything is fine." He muttered to is brother, although he was clearly tense and ready to pounce on Seth at any given moment. But he didn't want his brother taking over, when Stevie was his. Part of him felt the need to prove himself, although he would never admit it.

Dan watched the petite blonde quickly go to Stevie and Seth, clearly unafraid of their fight. He eased up a bit, seeing the twins pull apart. He watched the female look over Stevie, glancing over at him when she spotted the blood that had soaked through her shirt due to the bite he had given her. Danny's eyes flicked down, and a tick worked in his jaw. He did feel guilty about biting Stevie. She would never be the same again. And it was all his fault.

Shoving his hands in his pockets, he looked up to see what he assumed was the other blonde figuring out that Seth was a werewolf. Like Stevie, she was clearly upset and quickly left the room. Dan looked at Seth, and nodded after her. He figured someone had to go after her and calm her down, or she would end up worrying herself and causing another wave to hit earlier than it had to.

"It's alright." Laci whispered and Stevie shook her head, running her fingers through her hair. She hated her brother so bad at the moment, that if it weren’t for everyone walking in on them, they probably would have seriously hurt each other.

Stevie glanced to Danny, remembering hearing a growl and she couldn’t help but smirk. Was he protective of her? She wondered. It was a weird thought, considering, aside from Seth, she’d never had a guy be somewhat territorial and protective of her. Her boyfriend wasn’t exactly the best example of a boyfriend. She sighed looking away from him and back to Laci, raising a brow as Laci carefully checked of Seth, more in depth then she’d checked her over, which was surprising, but as soon as she noticed eyes on her, she quickly retreated to Stevie’s side.

"What were you two fighting about this time." Stevie was about to say some smart ass comment, only Laci had answered her own question, before she had the chance to. "Oh, Seth." Stevie’s eyes followed Laci as she quickly made her way back into the room, looking hurt.

“Good going.” Stevie spat. “This is your fault, Seth.” She hissed harshly.

“Fuck you.” He scolded. “This ones on you Evie.” Seth spat before going after Laci, leaving Stevie there. Seth’s words stung. He was the only one aside from Laci who could make her feel like complete shit.

Stevie glanced up seeing that Danny and Luke were still in the room, looking at her and she hated the way the older brother was looking at her accusingly. She rolled her eyes, running her fingers through her long blonde hair.

“I need some air.” She breathed, though it was so quiet she wasn’t sure either of them heard her and she slipped out the front door, quick enough that they couldn’t catch her. She took off quickly into the woods behind the guest house. She took off at a dead run. Everything that had happened was too much, she needed to get away from it and she knew that they’d come after her. She wasn’t sure how long she ran for, but eventually she couldn’t run anymore and she found herself at the edge of a lake.

She glanced behind her, surprised no one was after her yet. Seth was right this was her fault. Everything bad that happened to Laci or Seth, was more or less Stevie’s fault. She was always getting the three of them into trouble, she didn’t know how to do anything but destroy everything she touched and it killed her. If she hadn’t forced Laci to sneak into the club they wouldn’t be turning into fucking monsters. She closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath of the clear mountain air, letting it clear her mind.

Lukas watched the twin carefully, making sure if he had to jump in he was ready and he hadn’t missed the way his brother was so protective of the young changeling already. He could feel his brother’s energy towards the blonde, the same way he could feel Seth’s energy towards Laci and that was the real reason he was on edgy, because Laci didn’t have to tell him, he already knew the two had history and there was something between them.

He was busy trying to keep his own temper under control as he watched Laci, check Seth for bruises. His entire body tensed. He didn’t like the way they looked at each other it was unnerving, to say the least. Laci was his now, if Seth wanted her bad enough, he’d have to fight Luke for her and Seth didn’t stand a chance, Luke was next in line for Alpha, for a reason.

"Oh, Seth." Laci’s soft voice pulled him from his thoughts as she walked past him back to the room and as she passed him there was no mistaking the intoxicating heat that passed between them as she walked past. There pull was getting stronger, quicker than it should.

There were some words exchanged between Seth and Stevie, but Luke was too preoccupied with the way he’d just felt when Laci walked past, so he hadn’t heard it. Only moments later Seth, walked past him, headed towards Laci causing him to let out a low growl, unable to control it.

“I need some air.” the voice pulled him back and he caught Stevie slipping out of the house.

“Shit.” He breathed. “If one of the other wolves caught her or worse their father, she’d be dead and so would him and Danny and Seth. He could almost predict she’d run and the smell would be hard to trace considering she was in the midst of changing, so he wasn’t too worried, but they still need to go after her.

“Listen, I know you’re not going to like this.” He said looking to his brother. “But, I can’t stay her with Seth, I need to calm down.” He explained. “Or I might really hurt him.” He said honestly. “And, you’ll only make matter’s worse with Stevie.” He sighed, knowing him and his brother were similar when it came to being sarcastic ass holes, the only difference was, Luke knew when he had to be mature and handle situations. “I’ll go after Stevie, you stay her with Laci and Seth.” He said almost ordering his brother as he slipped out the door not giving him a chance to object.

Laci didn't turn around immediately when she heard Seth enter the room. She sat down on the bed, and silently smoothed out the covers that were slightly rumpled from when she had gotten up. She tucked a strand of her long blonde hair behind her ear, and pursed her lips as she felt him sit down next to her. "Lace.". Laci wouldn't help but melt a little at the tender way he said her name. She finally looked up, her bright blue eyes meeting with his darker ones.

"I couldn't tell either of you. It was the only way to keep you two safe. You know that, right?" He spoke to her so gently, offering her a little smile that she couldn't help but halfheartedly return. "I know, but..." She glanced down, biting on her lip. "It's jut, you know everything about me. I've even had to keep things from Stevie. But never you." She looked back up at him. He smiled gently at her, wrapped his arms around her, and rested his chin on her head. She loved being held like this, and he knew it.

With a resigned sigh, she rested her head on his chest and leaned against him. She wasn't one to stay mad long, if at all. But sitting here, like this with Seth felt somehow... a little wrong. She wished it was Lucas- which confused her even more. She barely knew him! Yet, she had never felt more safe and at peace with someone. She was so drawn to him, and everything about him was intoxicating.
She was afraid she would say the wrong thing, and he would lose interest in her. Like not wanting to tell him about her and Seth- she feared that it would scare him off or he would give up on her because she already had someone else. but she wanted him. And it was the oddest thing.

Too lost in her own thoughts to pull away, she didn't notice Seth lean over until he kissed her. Before she could pull away and find some sort of way to explain herself, she heard the door open. They both quickly broke apart, and looked up to see Lucas's brother standing in the doorway. "Well. Can't say that i'm that surprised. Although this is quite the turn of events. Lucas is going to kill you." Danny sighed and left the room, giving Laci one last look.

She knew it was absolutely horrible and she would never want to see Seth hurt in the slightest of ways, the insinuation that Lucas would be upset knowing bout Seth and her gave her a little more hope that Lucas might be drawn to her the way she was to him. "Shit." Seth ran his hand through his hair, and let out a deep sigh. "He's not going to tell Lucas, but now that you two are going to be attatched at the hip it's bound to happen some time. But I can't see why he'd be mad..."

Seth offered her a gentle smile, and kissed her on the cheek. "I'd better talk to him. I'm sure i'll be back." Laci smiled softly and nodded, watching him slip out of the room. Lace liked him. A lot. But with Lucas... it was different. She felt like she couldn't bear to be without him. Even now, without him being around her she felt the strong urge to find him. But she decided it best not to look like stalker.

“Listen, I know you’re not going to like this. But, I can’t stay her with Seth, I need to calm down. Or I might really hurt him.” Danny couldn't help but let out a little growl. It wasn't that he didn't trust his brother with the task of taking care of Stevie, but he was very unsure about it. He did not want to let Stevie out of his sight. He was about to go after her himself, before his brother interjected. He didn't fight back, and before he could respond his brother was gone after his changeling.

He could sense the relationship between Seth and Laci, but really it was guess. He wasn't totally convinced but then again Lucas probably had more information. He could tell that his brother was mad. Had it been him, he probably would've picked a fight with him right then and there. Shown him that she was his. But then again maybe there was a reason people usually trusted Lucas with the tasks that required more responsibility.

With a sigh, he wondered off to the bedroom to check on Seth and Laci. Only to see them kissing. Huh. Well, maybe he had been right with his hunch. They certainly seemed very attached in some sort of way. "Well. Can't say that i'm that surprised. Although this is quite the turn of events. Lucas is going to kill you."

Danny knew he was right. He could tell how bonded Lucas and Laci were already, and if Lucas was a fraction as protective of Laci as he was of Stevie, he would flip. Had Dan been a better brother, he probably would've snapped at Seth a bit for having a thing with Laci. She was Lucas's changeling, and he could already tell something was bound to happen between the two of them.
He sighed, and left the room. He plopped down on the couch, and Seth quickly followed.

"It's not like Lucas is going to automatically go after her just because he bit her. He bit me, and you don't see anything going on between us." Seth smirked at Danny, who rolled his eyes. "Yes, but does she look like a smartass male?" Dan retorted. "He likes her. And I'm not going to tell him what I saw, but he's still going to be pissed when he comes back."

Stevie had her eyes closed when she heard someone walking up behind her and her heart started to race. What if it was one of the other wolves, they might not be so forgiving they might kill her, then again she kind of deserved it didn’t she? She didn’t bother turning around because she didn’t want to know who it was.

“You alright kid?” Luke, sighed glancing over her posture able to pick up on her guilt and pain. He was radiating off her and he knew what that felt like. He’d felt it a million and one times and was feeling in ever since he’d bitten Lace. “You know you’re going to get all of us in trouble running off like this.” He said trying to stay calm.

Stevie scoffed. “I’m not a kid, trust me.” He spat keeping her back to him and relaxing know that she knew who it was. “I just want to go home and so does Laci, I’ll take care of her.” She said finally turning to face the older Blackwell brother. “I’ve taken care of her my entire life and raised myself. We don’t need you, or Danny, or Seth’s help.” She held his eyes, letting him know she wasn’t scared and she didn’t need them.

He rolled his eyes “Sure you don’t, then once you turn you’ll be a monster and kill off anyone you get your hands on, trust me sweetheart, you need me and my brother and even Seth more then you know.” He said taking a step closer. “You not as strong as you think you are and Seth, Danny, and Laci may not be able to see through you, but I sure as hell can.” He said honestly and that struck Stevie something about the way he said it, made her believe him. “You’re not a badass, your broken.” He said and that made Stevie finally look away. “My brother isn’t as much of an ass hole as he seems and neither am I, Daniel will take care of you and I’ll take care of Lace.” he admitted. “I’ll take full responsibility for what happen to you girls, but by doing that you have to let us help you.”

Stevie glanced back to him, he was right and she hated that he already knew her and he didn’t know her. No one had ever called her out like he just had. They were either scared of her or just kept their mouth shut because they didn’t want to fight her. She admired him for the simple fact that he’d just put her in her place and he wasn’t scared of her wrath.

“Fine.” She finally breathed. “But you’re going to have to let us go home, at least to check in and Laci and I have to be at the football game tonight.” She said simply. “Take us home and to the game and I’ll try my best to stop fighting you and Danny.” She sighed.

“Deal.” Luke said gesturing with his head back towards the. “My dad will be home tonight anyways, it’d be best if we weren’t here.” He said as the two of them headed back to the house.

Once they got back, Danny and Seth were in the living room talking and Luke was immediately tense. Seth was like a brother to him and He felt connected and protective of Laci so to think the two of them were together was killing him. He looked between the two boys as.

“Were going to the football game tonight.” He said not giving his brother or Seth a chance to say no. Seth let out a chuckle as he blew out a cloud of smoke, his dark eyes flicking to his twin, pressing his cigarette to his lips and inhaling, before blowing out another cloud of smoke, before glancing back to to Danny.

“You know why she wants to go to the game right?” Seth smirked, glancing to Luke then. “ Lucas, Danny, meet Timberwolf High schools Cheer Captain and Laci’s the co-captain. It’s the big play offs tonight.” Seth smirked wickedly glancing back to his sister.

Laci heard talking outside her room, and figured the others had come back. It felt comforting, knowing that Lucas was nearby. She really hoped Danny wouldn't say anything to him about her and Lucas- she knew he probably already knew, but she wanted to confirm it on her own terms. She felt connected to him, and didn't want anything to get in the way of that. Even if it was all in her head.

With a heavy sigh, she pushed herself up off the bed. She made her way to the common room, and where she found everyone else. "-meet Timberwolf High schools Cheer Captain and Laci’s the co-captain. It’s the big play offs tonight." Seth was saying. Lace laughed lightly, and grinned at the others. "Lead flyer." She announced, with a wink. "Being short comes in handy occasionally."

She made her way over to Lucas, finding herself comfortable between him and Stevie. She just loved being near him- she felt an undeniable pull towards him- like she had to be close to him. When their arms just barely brushed against each other, it was like electricity. She quickly looked up at him, desperately wanting to touch him again, but could only blush and look down. "U-uhm... we really need to stop home. My father is going to kill me."
To be honest, her father killing her wasn't that far from the truth. But she was used to his beatings. He was always careful to hit her where her clothing would cover it.

"I assume you two will be tagging along?" She looked up at Lucas and Danny, with a friendly smile. She just hoped Lucas wouldn't try to come into her house- they would both then face his wrath. And she could already tell that he was not the kind of person to just sit back and take it. He ould probably start a fight... and it would not be a pretty sight. Her father was older and rich, but he was very strong and he had a very quick temper. Laci's blue eyes flicked to the window, and she bit her lip. "We should probably go soon."

Her eyes flicked over to Seth. "I assume you'll be coming, too?" She asked, with a half smile. He responded with a nod, and a smirk. "Of course." She just hoped that nothing would happen between him and Lucas- there was obviously tension between the two of them. And Seth wasn't always known for his vast amounts of patience. There was certainly many things for Lace to worry about.

Danny couldn't help but give Stevie and Lucas a relieved half smile when they came back in. He was thankful she hadn't gotten caught, not to mention that she was alright. She had been pretty pissed before and he wanted to make it right but he wasn't so sure how. He was annoyed that his brother had gone with her instead of him, but it was for the best. Dan would probably feel uncomfortable, and end up saying something that would hurt her or piss her off even more.

Even though he gave him a hard time, he really did appreciate his brother. He was a hell of a lot more responsible than him, and Dan would probably be dead or in jail without him. Even if he was a real ass most of the time, Lucas did look after him. His eyes flicked back to Stevie. He already felt to protective and oddly tender towards her. He would never show it, of course, but he felt like he just wanted to be around her and ease any pain she felt. He felt horrible about her being in this whole situation. He knew he couldn't fix it, but he still felt like she deserved better than him.

“Were going to the football game tonight.” Lucas announced, bringing him out of his thoughts. "What?!" Dan quickly snapped. He had no interest in Football, of all things. "Why the hell would we go to that?" Danny growled, but couldn't really refuse his brother. The older and more powerful he got, the harder it was to say no to him. Wolves naturally knew who their alpha was that it was almost impossible to go against them.

“Lucas, Danny, meet Timberwolf High schools Cheer Captain and Laci’s the co-captain. It’s the big play offs tonight.” Seth announced, and a grin spread across his face. He turned to Stevie, still with a smug smile on his face. His eyes trailed over her, and he noted that she certainly had the body to be a cheerleader. "Hot." He commented, with a wink.

When he heard Laci, he leaned against the wall and looked over at the petite blonde who quickly made her way over to his brother. Danny glanced at Seth, a little sympathetically. Laci and Lucas clearly had feelings for each other, making quite the love triangle. He vaguely wondered who would end up with the first broken nose. Probably Seth.

“Lucas, Danny, meet Timberwolf High schools Cheer Captain and Laci’s the co-captain. It’s the big play offs tonight.” she glanced up to her brother, knowing he was just trying to piss her off and it was working. Had she not just promised Luke, she’d try and cool it she’d have attacked him again.

Stevie could feel Danny’s eyes on her and it made her heart race, but on the outside she played calm and collected as she glanced to him. "Hot." he said with a smirk and she easily matched his smirk with one of her own.

“Aww, thanks babe.” She said placing her hand to her chest, like she really appreciated the complement, but anyone who knew Stevie well enough knew she was just being a sarcastic bitch. “My boyfriend thinks so to.” She said holding her eyes and her voice deadly serious. She turned her attention to Laci as she stated who she was on the team and Stevie smiled. Her and Lace were easily the most talent on the cheer squad, which was no doubt why they were the captains.

"I assume you two will be tagging along?" She said pulling Stevie from her thoughts shit, she thought, of course they’d come she’d hoped they wouldn’t. "We should probably go soon. I assume you'll be coming, too?" she said and Stevie hadn’t missed the tone in Laci’s voice or the way they looked at each other and it pissed her off. Seth must have been able to feel Stevie’s aggravation, because he thought over his answer before sighing.

“Hell no. When the fuck have I ever gone to one of those waste of time football games.” He shrugged. “I’ll be here covering for these two dumbasses when there dad gets home.” He smirked wickedly.

Stevie rolled her eyes. “Fine then it’s settled, let’s go.” She spat.
---
The car ride had been mostly quite aside from Stevie giving directions to her house. Eventually they’d gotten to the house and Luke had dropped off her and Danny. They’d discussed meeting at the game. Stevie would drive her and Danny and Lace would ride with Luke. Once Luke had pulled away, Stevie turned to Danny.

“Listen ass hole, you’re a friend from school. We’re working on a project and that’s why we’re here got it?” she said feeding him a lie that she knew her mother would believe if they were asked.

Luke was less than impressed with Seth trying to piss off his sister. He was becoming increasingly agitated with the older Lockley twin. He hated that he knew that there was something going on between him and Laci. Not that it really mattered, because he had a mate and even if by some chance him and Laci feel for each other, they could never be together. His father would disown him and he’d be kicked out of the pack without so much as being able to explain himself. So as much as he hated it, he pushed the jealous thoughts from his mind as Laci came out of the room.

He wasn’t really paying much attention to what everyone was talking about, because he was too preoccupied with the thought of having to go to a high school football game and watch all the guys flock around Laci and Stevie. Because even though there was absolutely no draw to Stevie, he felt his brothers draw to her and that made him automatically protective of her. His bother could lie all he wanted, but he could feel that Danny felt the same way about Stevie as he felt about Laci, though neither of them would admit that out loud.

“Fine then it’s settled, let’s go.” Stevie’s irritated voice pulled him from his thought, he’d missed the entire conversation, but he didn’t ask questions he just followed the other three out to the car, slide into the driver’s seat and they were headed into town.

The town was only about a twenty minutes from the wolves’ hidden house in the woods. Once they were in town Stevie started spouting off directions, leading them on the wealthier side of town, until they were parked out in front of her beautiful house. Lukas raised a brow and was about to speak, but Stevie cut him off.

“If anything happens to her your dead.” She said seriously looking between Laci and Lukas. “Will meet you at the game, I’ll drive me and Danny.” She said before stepping out of the car and he nodded. Once they were out of the car Lukas got back on to the road. “Alright, where to?” he asked glancing to her before shifting his eyes back on the road.

Laci sat quietly beside Lucas, slightly smug due to the fact that he had given her the passenger seat, even though his brother had gone for it. Although, for some odd reason, the idea of being apart from him stuck her with pain. Even just being out of his direct line of vision. She felt like she needed to be near him. And the more time she was spending with him, the more that need grew.

She silently listened to Stevie direct Lucas to her house. She chuckled, seeing him raise a brow at the sight of her house. Stevie and her both came from rich families, and that was always just sort of known in this town. A lot of the students at the school were quite wealthy, like them. “If anything happens to her your dead.” Stevie gave Lucas a dead serious look, that she had seen before. It generally wasn't directed at her, but she knew how serious her best friend was. She turned, and gave the girl a comforting smile that said 'Don't worry'. “Will meet you at the game, I’ll drive me and Danny.” Stevie stated, and she nodded quietly. Lace waved to her friend as she left, giving her another smile.

“Alright, where to?” Lucas asked, and she turned her gaze onto him. "I'm right next door. But we both own a few acres, so it's a little ways down." She softly instructed, and couldn't help but smile a little at the sheer normalcy of it. For a minute, she could forget the fact that her entire world had been turned upside down. It almost felt like he was just a normal guy driving her home.

When they arrived at her house she looked over at him with a little smile. "Well, this is it."

She bit down hard on her lip when she got out of the car, and saw that her father's car was here. If she brought him inside, her father would either tear him apart or just leave it, then as soon as he was alone with her beat her into a pulp. Even worse than he already was going to, just for sleeping somewhere else without telling him.
"U-uhm, you should probably wait out here. And don't come inside, even if it sounds bad in there." She told him as they reached the door, not quite meeting his eyes. "I'll be right back for you, and smuggle you inside somehow. My father is probably waiting right by the door." She offered him a halfhearted smile, and took in a deep breath before entering her house.

She didn't see her father, so she quickly hurried upstairs. But before she could shut her door, she heard his thundering footsteps behind her. She slowly turned around, only to receive a hard, stinging slap. She quickly fell back, shoved onto her knees due to the sheer force. Laci trembled fearfully and touched her cheek, knowing what was going to happen next. He kicked her hard in the side a few times, before grabbing her arm tightly and jerking her back up. He continued to strike her, and she felt the wound on her shoulder open up again. She was in so much pain- and little did she know, Lucas could feel it.

Danny sat in the back next to Stevie, a little sulky. He had realized after that it was probably a better idea for him to be next to his changeling anyways, but still he always sat up in the passenger seat and now his brother had gone and given it away to his little changeling. Hmph. He didn't question it, though. He would never admit it but he knew his brother was right.

Dan felt the energy pulling him towards Stevie, just while sitting next to her. He felt the urge to pull her closer, or to move closer, but resisted it. He listened to her order his brother, grinning a little. He was usually quiet for the ride, but really he was just soaking it all in. For who knows how long, these changelings were going to be their responsibilities. they were going to have to hold them while they screamed in pain before their first change, she them how to walk and communicate as wolves, and care for them. But he was afraid of getting attached- sooner or later, they were going to have to come back to reality and rejoin their pack.

When they arrived at Stevie's house, Danny nodded in approval. "Not bad, pup." He commented as he got out of the car. He paused, seeing her stop to talk to Lucas. He saw her glance at Laci, and he chuckled. She was probably warning his brother not to hurt her. Bu he knew that Lucas would never hurt Lace- just like he would never hurt Stevie. He would rather break his own hand than raise it to strike her.

Shoving his hands in his pockets, he followed Stevie into her house. When they entered, it was eerie quiet. If there was someone home, they didn't bother to greet them. Dan half followed, half lead the way to her bedroom and entered before she could stop him. Bedrooms always have the strongest scents, and it was very easy to find her room. He plopped down on her bed, and grinned at her. "Nice place, beautiful."

Stevie honestly wanted him to stay outside, because if her mother was home, she’d wonder why the guy that was with her wasn’t Brandon and if her little sister was home, she’d probably tell Danny something embarrassing about Stevie. She sighed as they walked through her enormous house, it was quite, which meant no one was home and she was grateful for that. She headed up the stairs with Danny in tow until they reached her door and she opened the door gesturing for him to go in first. He quickly made himself at home in her bedroom, plopping down on her bed.

"Nice place, beautiful." he said and she rolled her eyes shooting him n unamused look as she opened the bottom drawer to her nightstand and pulled out a pack of cigarette’s lighting one and taking a long drag as she tossed the pack and lighter down next to him on her bed.

“Thanks.” She said simply. “Help yourself.” She said referring to the pack of cigarettes she’d tossed down next to him.

She moved across the room flipping on her radio as her cigarette rested between her lips. She turned the radio up fairly loud to drown out the outside world like she always did when she was alone, forgetting momentarily about all her worries as the music started to feel the room. She took another long drag from her cigarette, before using the top of her stereo to stomp it out. She slipped her shirt off, reveling her large dream catcher tattoo that not even Laci had seen yet, she’d been able to keep it hidden from everyone and she was glad that Danny’s brutal attack had been on the opposite side of her ribs. She glanced to the injury, that seemed to be healing a lot better than it had been this morning. Her long blonde hair touch all the way down to her hips.

She turned around facing Danny with a wicked smirk, she wasn’t ashamed of her body and or the fact that she was standing in front of some random guy she’d just met in nothing but a pair of low rise jeans and her lacy bra. Brandon on the other hand would be livid and the thought of that made her heart race.

“You know, had you fucked up my tattoo, your ass would have been mine.” She teased, though she was half serious. She crossed the room, walking passed him towards her closet, shuffling through her cloths grabbing her blue and silver cheer outfit, slipping on her top that barley covered her tattoo, before slipping out of her jeans and slipping on her skirt. She pulled her long blonde hair into a high ponytail before tying a blue ribbon in her hair and walking over to Danny. She placed a hand on either side of him and lend in close, holding his eyes with her ice blue ones.

“Do you have a girlfriend, Danny?” she smirked. “Because I have a boyfriend
” she raised a brow like she was challenging him to make the first move, like it didn’t matter that they both had significant others. She had to fight the urge to kiss him and pretend she was only flirting, because the heat that radiated between them was undeniable and she wanted him so bad it physically hurt, but she knew how to control herself. She pulled away grabbing that pack of cigarettes and she stood up right again. She lit another one and took a drag, keeping her eyes on him, blowing perfectly practiced Os into the air between the two of them.

Laci explained that their was a bit of acreage between the two house and they drove for a minute or two before the finally pulled into the drive way of a beautiful house with terrible energy. Lucas got a bad feeling almost instantly and he was about to open his mouth and as if Laci was sure, but she spoke before him.
"Well, this is it." he sighed not liking the energy that was coming from the house in general but he didn’t argue, what right did he have. He could feel himself starting to get frustrated with the situation.
The got out of the car and headed towards the house only when they got to the front door she paused and turned to him, biting her lip almost seeming nervous and he could feel that, taste it, because he’d bitten her and she was in his blood now.

"U-uhm, you should probably wait out here. And don't come inside, even if it sounds bad in there." he knit his brows in confusion, not missing the way her eyes didn’t meet his when she spoke. "I'll be right back for you, and smuggle you inside somehow. My father is probably waiting right by the door." he let out a breath but nodded understanding and he watched her as she slipped into the house.

Lucas lend against the house next to the door boredly. He hated tending to pups, he was pretty sure his days of doing that were over after he’d looked after Seth, he’d sworn that was the last time. Only he’d been stupid to let his temper get the best of him last night because of his stupid immature little brother. The thought alone frustrated him, Danny was always getting him in trouble and he was always saving Danny’s ass, because he didn’t give a shit about anyone but his self.

Lucas could feel a slight pain run through his entire body and he was suddenly on high alert and his ears tuned in and all of his wolf senses were hyper alert. He quietly opened the front door slipping in. He was going to feel stupid if nothing was wrong, but he had a feeling that wasn’t the case.

“Lacy?” he called quietly but there was no answer. He heard a loud slap and her let out a dangerous snarling growl as his head wiped in the direction of the noise. He ran up the stairs taking them two at a time and as he rounded the corner, he saw Laci in the hands of her father, being slapped around.

Within a matter of seconds Laci was out of her father’s hands and her father was pinned against the wall, with absolutely no way of escaping Luke’s enraged chokehold. It didn’t matter that her father was flailing and begging for air, Luke only tightened his grip around the man’s neck. Luke’s eyes were consumed by yellow and he was seconds away from shifting into his wolf form, but he knew he had to keep that part of him at bay.

He clenched his fist, glaring at the man before slamming his fist into the man’s stomach two or three times, before releasing his grip and letting the man fall to his knees. Luke knelt down to the man’s level holding his eyes, with his yellow wolf eyes as he bared his teeth.

“If you ever touch her again, I swear to God, I’ll rip you fucking throat out.” He threatened his voice a low growl. His fist connected with Laci’s father’s jaw, making a loud crack, no doubt breaking it and knocking the man out cold.

He sighed, calming his heavy breathing for a moment as his clenched fists started to relax. After a long silent moment he turned to Laci, helping her up off the floor and pulling her close. He kissed the top of her head and he hated the way she made him feel, like he’d give up everything to be with her. Of course it had to be a half breed, he thought bitterly. He pulled away looking her over.

“Go get your stuff, you’re not coming back here.” He said in a gentle, but stern voice.

Laci braced herself for the next burst of pain, her eyes closed tightly and her arms wrapped around herself. But it didn't come. Instead, she felt a rush of warmth and security. She opened with light blue eye, to see Lucas jerking her father away. "Lucas!" She quickly breathed, half our of relief and half out of fear. This was not going to end well- that, she knew well. She really wasn't worried about her father, though. He had hurt her so many times, she feared he would do the same to Lucas. But really, it was her fear thinking as opposed to logic. Lucas was obviously the stronger one.

This was quickly proven when he pinned her father against the wall, choking him. Lace did feel bad, but her heart was hardened slightly by the way her father tried to attack Lucas, even though he was pinned. She could understand him wanting to defend himself, but he would've been just a vicious if Lucas had come in with his hands up submissively.

Unable to see anyone in pain, even her horrid father, started to speak, to try to get Luke to release him but by the time she did he already was raising his fist to punch him. She flinched when he punched him hard in the jaw, and dropped him on the floor. He was out cold and she figured he wouldn't be up and moving for quite some time. But he would survive. She was almost tempted to go to him, even though she remembered how many times he had left her, cold and bleeding on the ground. her hands were still trembling, and she could feel that her ribcage was bruised.

There was a moment of silence between the two. Lace was still hurt and afraid after the beating she had received, but she felt oddly touched by what Lucas had done for her. It had seemed like he really cared about her, and wanted to keep her safe. Lucas slowly turned to her, and she felt herself melt under his gaze alone.

He reached down and helped her up off the floor. She flinched a little at a couple stings from the cuts and bruises that were hidden under her shirt- he was always very careful about hitting her where he knew it wouldn't be seen. But when Lucas pulled her into his arms, she felt all of that fear and hurt melt away. She threw her arms around him, and buried his face in his chest. She felt like she never wanted to leave that warm embrace. He kissed the top of her head, and she felt her heart flutter. she hadn't even known him for a day, and yet she had never wanted to be with anyone as much as she wanted to be with him.

He pulled back, and looked down at her. She blinked back up at him with her pale blue eyes. “Go get your stuff, you’re not coming back here.” He told her in a voice that was gentle, yet firm enough that she knew there was no point in arguing back. She didn't speak, but managed a short nod. She was finding it hard not to get lost in his rich blue eyes. She threw her arms around him again, in a quick hug.

She turned away slowly, and quickly packed a bag. She softly placed it on her bed, and pulled her uniform out of her closet. She looked over at Lucas, before shakily tugging off her shirt that basically looked like it had survived a war at his point. She blushed lightly, given the small amount of clothing that she was wearing, but turned so he could see the dark bruises that covered her ribcage. Some old, some new. She could feel new ones forming. "Are the new ones bad?" She whispered, not quite meeting his eyes.

Dan leaned back on his elbows, trying to act nonchalant. As though he wasn't completely and entirely intoxicated by the blonde that stood before him. His dark silvery eyes never left her form as she sauntered across the room and turned on the music. He winked at her, although he didn't exactly predict her next move.

She practically knocked the wind out of him when she pulled off her shirt. Damn. His eyes traced over her body, and his grin broadened. "Nice, beautiful." He told her, with a wink. Most girls he called 'hottie' or 'babe', but she wasn't hot. She was beautiful. Stunning. There was a big difference between what he felt for most girls, and what he felt for her. Even though he sure as hell wasn't about to admit to himself, let alone to anyone else.

He looked over her tattoo, a little impressed. "Looks like you don't mind a little pain." He murmured, with a little smirk. She looked at him with a wicked smirk, and he winked at her again. "Stunning." He told her, although he actually meant it. “You know, had you fucked up my tattoo, your ass would have been mine.” She teased, and he laughed. "You can still have it anyways." He flirted, with a broad grin.

“Do you have a girlfriend, Danny? Because I have a boyfriend
”'
Stevie raised a brow at him, and he chuckled. "Maybe i do..." He joked and flirted with her, but in all honesty he could feel that the sexual tension in the room was so strong he practically see it in the air. He could feel him challenging him, and he had no problem making the first move.

He fluidly stood up, and made his way over to her. He plucked that cigarette from her lips, and stomped it out on the stereo just as she had earlier done. Danny slowly leaned down, feeling the energy between them become stronger and stronger as he got closer, until it was almost unbearable. His lips were almost touching hers, their bodies just millimeters away from touching. He felt her inhale, and he grinned. Before either of them could move closer, he quickly pulled back and swept her up off of her feet effortlessly.

He turned and carried her to her bed, with no strain. He dropped her on the bed, and rested his hands and knees on either side of her body. "How does that boyfriend of yours treat you, beautiful?" He whispered, his eyes smoldering. He leaned down until they were almost touching again, his eyes never leaving hers. "Does he make you feel like this?"

"Maybe i do..." he said and even though he was joking she could tell there was truth to the statement and that made her smirk wickedly.

She kept her eyes on him as he stood up and her heart raced, because she realized in that moment that he was just as daring as her. Willing to push people to their breaking points. He swiped the cigarette from her lips and she raised a brow, wondering what the hell was coming next. She hated it because normal Stevie could call it, she’d spent a lot of her life studying people and being able to predict what came net in her shitty life, but not with him. He was unpredictable and she was out of control and somehow for the first time in her life everything made perfect sense with him.

He lend in slowly and she could feel the undeniable heat between them. It was like nothing she’d ever felt and it was driving her crazy, yet on the outside she was playing it cool, like he had no effect on her. His lips were almost touching hers and their faces were so close she could see the specks of green and yellow in his hazel eyes. It took every ounce of control she had not to close the remaining sliver of space and kiss him like she wanted to.

In one swift motion, too quick for her to avoid he swept her off her feet, stealing her breath and before she had a chance to catch her breath, he dropped her on the bed and she couldn’t help but smirk at his boldness. He wasted no time climbing over her playfully and she rested on her elbows looking up at him.

"How does that boyfriend of yours treat you, beautiful?" He whispered and she bit her lip. It was impossibly hard to concentrate, but she forced herself to focus on his words as she held his eyes. "Does he make you feel like this?" She looked away from then and laughed before looking back to him.

She pushed him off next to her and climbed into his lap pushing him back onto the bed, straddling him as she lend in close. Their lips were almost touching as she held his eyes, her blonde hair making a wall on either side of their faces, blocking out the rest of the world.

“No.” she breathed with a playful grin painted on her lips. Her lips pressed against his jawline, slowly and seductively tracing it until she reached his ear and her lips left his skin enough just to whisper into his ear. “He makes me feel like that.” He said sitting up and rolling off him, before stepping off her bed and standing up. “Nice try pretty boy, but you’re not exactly my type.” She lied.

He was exactly her type, boys with tattoos and bad attitudes were her weakness and that was the whole reason she worked a tattoo shop. If you called it work. She grabbed her keys to her car before looking back to him.

“Come on I can’t afford to be late to the game, I already missed school today.” she smirked. “Plus I don’t exactly trust your brother with Lace.” She shrugged.

She threw her arms around him again hugging him and he sighed. He hated what he’d just walked into, because now he was responsible for her and it wasn’t in his blood to let someone he cared about suffer. He couldn’t let her keep coming home to her father every night when he knew what was going on. Maybe he could use that as an excuse to give his father. His father wasn’t completely cold hearted and he might be able to give Laci and into the pack that way. Stevie on the other, there was no way his father would let her in, she was too out of control.

Laci turned and he followed her as she headed into her room and started packing her bags. He lend against the door way keeping his eyes on her. He hated that she drove him crazy and he barely even knew her. If Jessica drove him half as crazy as Laci did, he might not have to stray. He wasn’t paying attention when Laci pulled off her shirt he was too lost in his thoughts.

"Are the new ones bad?" She whispered pulling him from his thoughts and that’s when he’d realized she had no shirt on, but he didn’t make a big deal about it, he was very mature unlike his younger brother, or most of the other wolves in his pack, he shook his head with a soft smile.

“Your still beautiful.” He aid gently. It was out of character for Luke to be nice to anyone save for Jessica, but he just couldn’t bring himself to saying anything mean to Laci, she didn’t deserve it. She deserved a lot more than the life she’d been living and a part of him wanted to be the one to give that to her. “My younger sister is a healer, when we get back to my house, I’ll fix everything.” He said holding her eyes.

“Your still beautiful.” Luke told her when she asked if the bruises were bad. She looked up at him, and blushed darkly. "O-oh, t-thank you..." She stuttered, a little shyly but she had to fight a smile as she felt butterflies. He thinks i'm beautiful?? She thought to herself, her heart skipping a beat. He was to incredibly mysterious and handsome. She tried to appear calm and collected, even though inside she could barely contain herself.

She tugged on her uniform, and heard him speak again. “My younger sister is a healer, when we get back to my house, I’ll fix everything.” He told her, and that fond smile found it's way to her lips once more. He really did have such an amazing heart. Other than Stevie and Seth, nobody had ever treated her with such protectiveness and gentleness. She paused for a minute, only to pull her hair back in a high ponytail with a blue ribbon, as her and Stevie always did. She looked up at Lucas, and felt her heat swell. "Why is he so sweet to me? There's nothing special about me..."

Unable to stop herself, she gave him one last hug. She rested her head on his chest, closing her eyes as she listened to his heart. It was stead and soothing- she had long since stopped trembling. Even though she had just watched him beat her father into a pulp, she didn't fear him in the least. She would trust him with her life, in a heartbeat. There, in his arms, she had never felt safer or warmer.

She pulled back slightly, keeping her arms around him, so she could look up at him. It was then that she became painfully aware of how close they were. The electricity between then was almost unbearable, and she had to struggle to gather herself and not lose her train of thought.

"Thank you so much, Lucas. You didn't have to do any of this for me. I..." Lace let her voice trail off, as she struggled not to get lost in his beautiful eyes. Her pale eyes flicked to his lips, then quickly back up to his eyes once more. In that moment, she realized that she really cared for him so much. She barely knew him, and as she stood there, gazing at him, she could barely breathe.

Danny grinned as he flipped him onto his back, and straddled him. She softly caressed his jawline with her lips, slowly and seductively tracing it until she reached his ear. She pulled back ever so slightly, just to whisper in his ear. He closed his eyes slightly, lost in the feeling of her touch. “He makes me feel like that.” She abruptly got off of him and stood up. He couldn't help but gape at her.

“Nice try pretty boy, but you’re not exactly my type.” She told him flippantly, and he rolled his silvery eyes at her. "Oh, who do you think you're kidding?" He rolled off the bed, and stood over her. "I'm exactly you're type." He breathed, and winked at her. He grinned, slipping his thumbs in his back pockets.

“Come on I can’t afford to be late to the game, I already missed school today.” she smirked, and he sighed. her beings in school was going to be a real pain in the ass. “Plus I don’t exactly trust your brother with Lace.” She added, and he laughed. "Luke? Ha, don't get your panties in a bunch. You'll get her back in one piece. He's her changeling now- he would jump off a bridge before he touched a hair on her head." He told her, thinking about how true that statement was about the way he felt about her. It hurt him just to think about her hurt.

But he couldn't let her win this little game. Before she could leave the room, he pinned her against the wall a little roughly. Not hard enough to hurt her, though. He laced his fingers through her hair, leaned down, and kissed her hard. And it was even better than he expected- that magnetic pull between them was so strong, when he kissed her it was like a weight that had been there for years was finally lifted off of his chest. He kissed her a little softer, but with no less passion as he rested his other hand on the small of her back.

But just as abruptly as she had pulled away from him, he pulled away from her. "Still sure i'm not your type?" He asked, playing cool as though he wouldn't do anything to kiss her again. It took and unimaginable amount of self control to turn away calmly, and saunter out of the room.

"Luke? Ha, don't get your panties in a bunch. You'll get her back in one piece. He's her changeling now- he would jump off a bridge before he touched a hair on her head." She raised a brow at his statement. They just met and she wasn’t exactly sure how the whole werewolf world worked, but she still wasn’t sure Luke was as protective as she was of Laci.

She reached for the door, getting ready to slip out, before Danny grabbed her roughly and pinned her against the wall and she could predict what was coming next and she knew she should have pushed him away, but the adrenaline racing through her body was too amazing of a high for her to want to push him away. Her heart was beating so fast and hard in her chest that she was scared he’d be able to hear it.

He laced his fingers in her hair and she kept telling herself to stop it, because she knew she’d fall for him the moment he kissed her, but before she could clear her mind enough to push him away he pressed his lips to hers kissing her hard, setting her entire body on fire and she let out a soft moan against his lisp despite herself as he kissed her softer. She’d never been kissed that way, it was impossibly hard to focus on anything but him. Her senses were hyper-aware and she didn’t want to stop kissing him. She shivered when he rested his hand on her lower back, were a small amount of her pale skin was exposed, but it cleared her head just enough for her to finally push him away.

"Still sure I'm not your type?" He asked coolly and she rolled her eyes as she watched him slip out of the room.

She struggled to get her breathing back under control, kicking herself for letting him kiss her, because now although she’d never admit it, she was hooked. Stevie always had a bad habit of getting addicted to things she shouldn’t and she definitely couldn’t have him, but she didn’t care because what she felt with him was stronger then she’d ever felt with anyone else. She quickly slipped out of the bedroom and caught up with him grabbing his wrist and spinning him around to face her.

“You can’t just kiss me and walk away, it doesn’t work like that sweetheart.” She smirked shoving him against the wall. “Your right you’re exactly my type and that’s what’s going to get me in trouble.” She whispered before pressing her lips against his and kissing him hard, like he’d kissed her.

It was intoxicating kissing him, better than any drug she’d ever taken. If she was being honest with herself, she could kiss him forever and never get tired of it, which scared the shit out of her. Because everyone was convinced Stevie didn’t have emotions, she was too much of a hard ass to care about anything aside from Laci and her siblings. She slipped her hands up underneath his shirt and ran her fingertips along his fit torso.

“We should go, before this goes any further.” She breathed against his lips, wanting him so bad it physically hurt. She took a step back sigh, because she felt guilty kissing him when she had Brandon and despite how much she disliked him and was only with him to save face, she still kind of cared about him. “I’ll be in the car.” She said avoiding eye contact.

She turned quickly, heading down the stairs, swiping her keys from the kitchen counter before slipping out the front door and climbing into the drivers seat of her black ranger rover. she quickly composed herself, fixing her make-up like their kiss had meant nothing as she waited for him.

He kept his eyes on her as she tied the ribbon in her hair. He was still figuring out a way to get her into the main house. He couldn’t lie to his father, because his scent was all over her, his father would know he was the one who’d bitten her and the reason she was turning, but he wasn’t about to let her come to this house at least no alone with her father.

She wrapped her arms around him again, pulling him from his thoughts and he hesitated for a moment, somewhat stunned. He wasn’t used to being compassionate, simply because he was raised by his ruthless, cold hearted father. Girls were simply mates and nothing more, so if Luca was being completely honest with himself he wasn’t sure he even know how to love someone or what love even was. He took a breath, before wrapping his arms around her and hugging her gently able to feel that she needed to feel safe.

He could hear her heartbeat, steady and calm and it had a calming effect on him. Everything about her seemed to calm him and turn him into a nicer person. The energy between them was something he’d never felt and he knew the pull was strong and it was more than the fact that he’d bitten her, sure that had something to do with it, but it was by no means all of it. There was more to it than that, because he felt it and it was so complicated, yet incredibly simple at the same time.

She pulled back a bit but she kept her arms around him and he wrapped an arm around her waist, gently pulling her close to let her know she was safe with him, because somehow he felt that was all she need from him, was to feel safe, because he had a feeling even with Stevie and Seth she’d never really felt safe. He could read her like an open book and that scared him, it was like they were bound together and he’d known her forever despite only knowing her for a few hours.

"Thank you so much, Lucas. You didn't have to do any of this for me. I..." he was hanging on every word he wanted her to finish but she hadn’t and he hadn’t missed the way her eyes had fallen on his lips before her bright blue eyes meet his gaze again and what he felt for her in that moment was overwhelming.

He rested his hand on her jawline gently, holding her gaze, before leaning in and pressing his lips against hers. It was gentle, the kind of kiss that would make other girls jealous of Laci. It ignited a fire in him, he’d never felt something so strong, it was magnetic and that was the only real way to describe it. He kissed her softly, like he was scared to break her. He fisted her blonde hair in his fingers, while the hand around her waist pulled her tighter against his body, closing the reaming space between them. He forced himself to pull away and rested that hand that hand been tangled in her hair, on the back of her neck and rested his forehead against hers.

“I’m sorry.” He breathed keeping his eyes closed and trying to compose himself. He normally didn’t do things like that, he didn’t act out spontaneously and he knew how to control his emotions for the most part, but with her it was different. He wanted to be with her and he’d do anything for her.

Laci blinked, a little surprised, when Lucas touched her jawline softly. He held her gaze for a moment, before he leaned in and gently kissed her. The kiss was so soft, so gentle, she felt herself filled with warmth. The kiss wasn't needy or pushy, and just like that he swept her off her feet. She never wanted to moved away from him. She rested a hand on the back of his neck, and softly pressed herself against him when he pulled her closer. The heat between them was so undeniable, and she found herself not wanting to pull away. It was the kind of kiss that changed everything for her.

Rather suddenly, Lucas pulled away from her and rested his forehead on hers. Her pale eyes fluttered up, and she looked up to see that his eyes were still closed. "I'm sorry." He breathed, seeming to struggle with himself. Without missing a beat, a small smile found it's way to her lips. "Lucas, you have nothing to be sorry for." She told him certainly, closing the space that had formed between them.

Laci tilted her chin forward, and her lips met his once more. She kissed him with more strength and sureness than before. Her fingers found their way to his hair, and she felt herself filled with warmth once more. Standing there, kissing him with everything she had, she found herself wanting more of him. She didn't care what stood in their way, and she didn't care about the fact that she barely knew him. She would give up anything to be with him. With him, she just felt all of the things keeping them apart melt away. Nothing else really mattered- all that mattered was him. Being here.

She knew doing this with him was probably a bad idea, but she didn't care. She pulled away slightly, for a moment, and smiled at him. "Like I said. You have nothing to be sorry for." Her one of her hands softly brushed over one of his arms, and she rested her forehead on his. She brought her lips close enough so the were just milimetres away from his, but not quite touching. It took her an immense amount of self control to keep from kissing him again, but she left the ball in his court. Keeping her eyes closed, she just stood there, feeling their electricity, for a long moment.

Dan grinned as he left the room, knowing she would follow. Or at least hoping. She was so different than any girl that he had met before- they always just melted in his palm and happily gave into him. But she had real spirit. He wanted her more than he had wanted any other girl, but he sure as hell wasn't about to admit that.
When he felt her grab his wrist and turn him around, he masked his surprise with a confident smile.

“You can’t just kiss me and walk away, it doesn’t work like that sweetheart." She told him, and his grin never wavered. But before he could shoot back a witty remark, she pushed him against a wall and kissed him hard. He easily kissed her back, wanting more of her. “Your right you’re exactly my type and that’s what’s going to get me in trouble.” She told him, and he grinned again. "I knew it, babe. I'm irresistible." He teased, with a quick wink.

She kissed him again, and he quickly took over. He turned them so her back was against the wall, and effortlessly pulled her legs up around his waist. He would never admit it, but she was exactly his type too. She was exactly the kind of girl that he would give up anything for, and that terrified him. His whole life, he had made a point never to get too attached to anyone at all. And with her, he could already feel himself getting attached.

"“We should go, before this goes any further.”

He sighed heavily, resting his forehead on herself for a second before finally releasing her. "Oh, they won't notice if we're a little late." He grinned at her, but he knew she wasn't going to miss her football game. He noticed her sigh and the way she avoided eye contact, and his smile widened. He knew she had felt it too- that undeniable pull between the two of them.

"I'll be in the car.' She told him, still not meeting his eyes. With a heavy sigh, he followed her downstairs and to her car. He watched her, rather skeptically, as she pulled down the mirror and began fixing her makeup without even acknowledging him. As if she hadn't felt anything during their kiss.

"Don't act like that meant nothing to you, beautiful." He turned to her, and although he had a confident grin his eyes held a certain amount of seriousness. "You might as well admit it. I'm getting to you." He grinned brightly, and winked at her. He then turned his head, and acted as though he wasn't at all interested in her as she drove. He rolled down his window, and let the wind ruffle his hair. He gave Stevie a quick glance, mostly to see if it was messing up her hair or annoying her at all.

He knew this was a bad idea, but he couldn't bring himself to keep away from her.
