Quick Summary
It's the year 9089.
The extinction of mankind has long been over.
Or so they all think....

A team of Hephlanian aliens come to investigate Earth.
They've long since heard rumors of the wild place on their home planet, Hephla.
The rumors are frightening, but they hold faith in their own bravery.

The Hephlanians wish to establish a colony on Earth, should something ever happen to Hephla.
The planets are much alike, both suitable for Hephlanian inhabitation.
There's just one problem...

A few humans live on in a small village they call Safehouse.
They have no clue how they survived, nor how they've lived for so long.
And they, like the animals and terrain around them, are potentially dangerous.

The Expedition
The government officials of Hepla decided in the year 8994 that Hephla needed some off planet colonies, sanctuaries in case anything happened to their precious Hephla. Not only that, but Hephla's small land area was simply not enough for all of the Hephlanians anymore. So the search for an inhabitable planet began, preferably one that's intelligent race had already been wiped out or had abandoned their home planet.

It wasn't until 9001 that the reknowned explorer Joachim Corëm'br came across Lady Earth, a planet who's intelligent species had been wiped out in the planet's apocalypse in 4396. Corëm'br described Lady Earth as "...a lucious sanctuary of serenity, peace, and beauty.... The picture of what a home should be." The Hephlanian people took intense interest in this glorious planet over the course of the next few decades, and started to make plans for the colonization of the planet, including where the first colony should be.

Unfortunately, Corëm'br met his unexpected death in 9013 after his aircraft had been hit by a meteor, on his seventh trip to Lady Earth. As he was the head of Project Earth, his death ment the same for the expedition.

The project remained forgotten until 9069, when Hurros Kaymada Medárd, Czør of the Shikilaah Province, decided the project was worth while. He decided to fund the revived expedition, on the condition that his daughter, the Czørî Ildiko Dikranouhi Medárd, would be permitted to lead the first colony on Lady Earth, thereby handling the land distribution. The Czør of the other fifteen provinces agreed to this, thinking it wise to revive the expedition.

Hephlanian Social Status
Upper Class:
Includes the Czør, Czørá, and Czørî (royal family of the provinces), the Karabaq Jujá (warrior chief), the Karabaq (warriors), the Muruk-Etii (priests), and other politicians, including diplomats, scholars, and intergalactic translators.

Middle Class:
All typical families, and artisans.

Lower Class:
Includes the poorest of families, unskilled workers, and the Uru-Kîzhna (huntsman/nomads).

Hephlanian Religion
The Hephlanians believe in a series of gods and goddesses, eight exactly. The head god is Åolî, god of the Sun and being. His wife is Šyanu, goddess of life and love. Their six children are the Attendants. Their sons are the gods of the hunt, farming, and death. Their daughters are the goddesses of water, wisdom, and the arts. Their names are Kîzhna, Dhù, Õnïmå, Ÿusí, Hävä, ßynáh, and Twee. (In order.)

There are eight monthes in a Hephlanina year: one for each god. Each month is named for the god, and on the first and last day of that month, festivals and ceremonies are held for the god of that month.

However, there are priests who honor all of the gods everyday, in a more complex way from within the Temples. Each town has a temple, though the most grand of them all is in the 4th province: Åolah. Only males can become priests, and must enter a Temple by age eight. A family will take their son to a Temple by their eighth year, where they will be raised in the way of the Muruk-Etii, the priests. The child will be permitted visitation on the grounds of the Temple until age 18, though he will never by permitted to leave the direct grounds. Once 18, a ceremony will be held for the new Muruk-Etii, in which he is permitted to decide whether he will leave the Temple forever as a missionary or stay forever, never to leave its four walls. Either way is considered honorable. Should they choose to stay, they will no longer be permitted visitation, as they must dedicate their lives to the gods.

A graduated Muruk-Etii dons a long, trailing white robe with leather sandals. They carry a golden staff, unique for each based on their personality and background, eight foot tall. Muruk-Etii's are not to marry or procreate.

Hephlanian Educational System
A Hephlanian child will stay with their family all the time, until age eight. In this period of time, they will learn basic reading, writing, math, sciences, etc. When the child turns eight, their family will choose a suitable career for their child based on the child's skills, and the family status. For instant, a young royal, a Czørî, is prone to becoming a Karabaq, politician, Muruk-Etii, etc. Middle class families usually enroll their children in blacksmith, silversmith, sewing, farming, etc.

With some professions, including farming, the child will learn from home, from their parents. In others, such as scholars, Muruk-Etii, and Karabaq, the child will live elsewhere until their "graduation".

It is very rare for a child just to go for a higher education, as the only jobs encompassing such abilites are navigator, technician, and historian, but when they do, they will always attend a school in the 5th province, ßynáhai, named for the goddess of wisdom, ßynáh. These scholars will spend their growing years in a school where they are taught by elder scholars, who are much respected by the community, though their low level of need in many cases.

Hephlanian Architecture
Hephlanian architecture is elaborate and grand. Even lowest class Hephlanians have a home that would seem above and beyond to human kind. Here are some examples of the typical buildings found in Hephla.

Safehouse
Safehouse was established soon after the apocalypse, and is located in Central America. After a group of humans survived the apocalypse, they found that they could not die naturally, thus live for thousands and thousands of years. They have procreated and have formed a glorious, yet simple, society. They all live in small thatched huts with one to three rooms depending on the size of the families. They do not age past the age they were during the apocalypse's occurence, thereby staying young or old for millenia. Also, they do not need food and water, but get slightly tired without it.

Many of these "families" do not include related folk, as in many families all but one perished in the apocalypse, if not all. Safehouse is home to exactly one hundred beings, causing suspicion that there's a reason they survived. For somehow, no matter where they lived, after the survivors "died" (i.e. were knocked out) during the apocalypse, they woke up in Safehouse, all (oddly) speaking English (which all Hephlanians also speak, as the English orignated from that planet, though it remains forgotten to mankind).

The government is simple, with a mayor and each Safehouse resident having voting rights. Education is unneccessary, considering those born in Safehouse develop knowledge without need to learn. However, there is much threat from the outside world, as all (or most) of the creaturres are murderous towards humans. Luckily, only a dozen of the original Safehouse residents have been killed, thanks to the efforts of the Guards.

Characters
The Hephlanians
The Karabaq Jujá | Female | Taken by Makenna Young
Daughter of Hurros Kaymada Medárd, she's a spunky, tough girl. She's to lead the new society, and claims to have no interests in marraige, having turned down 48 suitors. However, she might just have her heart melted.

The Muruk-Etii | Male | Taken by Rage&Pride
Born albino, a disgrace in Hephla, his parents sent him off to the Grand Temple in order to restore the family name. Despite his disgraceful status as albino (all white with gray eyes), he is shown a bit more respect thanks to his priest/healer status, for he can heal thanks to the powers of the gods.

The Diplomat | Female | Open
Never knowing her parents nor province of origin, she was adopted by a childless old woman. Since this girl knew not her home province, she never favored a single one and became a diplomat between the sixteen. Well known to all Hephlanians, she becomes diplomat between the humans and Hephlanians on Earth.

The Uru-Kîzhna (wilsman) | Male | Open
Despite their low status, this young man dreamed of becoming a Uru-Kîzhna. His family, however, sent him to become a Karabaq. Soon, however, he ran away to join the wildmen, men of adventure and danger. Having explored all of Hephla, he can't wait to explore Lady Earth.

The Humans
The Princess | Female | Taken by DarknesstoDeath23
The first child born in Safehouse, her father is the mayor of Safehouse, as well as its founder. Her mother was killed when she was young, but she remembers her. Her father is overprotective, never allowing her to leave town. But she sneaks out anyway....

The Flirt | Male | Taken by Makenna Young
Flirting with every girl in sight, he's a real jokester, a light hearted lad who can make the most of the worst through his jives. He ventures out of Safehouse quite often, to find food and water for the Safehouse residents. (One of the original 100 residents.)

The Genius | Female | Taken by Wolf'sBane109
One of the original 100, she can create phenomonal technology with the simplest of materials, though she does not reveal this to her fellow residents to its fullest. Sure she makes simple gadgets for them, but she's afraid that should she show her true potential, she'll be used.

The Guard | Male | Open
One of the original 100, he is the head guard. Indeed, the idea of Guards was his own. He's skilled with a blade of any sort, as well as bows and arrows.

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

So, are we ever going to start this RP, or did it die even before it started? If so, I'm sorry, this RP sounded and looked very good. It's just sad to see this happen all the time.

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

Everyone's bios are great! :)

Okay, so there are three open charries: The Hephlanian Diplomat (f), the Hephlanian Uru-Kihnza (m), and the Human Guard (m). (There would be four but I decided to take on the Human Flirt (m).)

If any of you would like to double, go right ahead.
However , if you have a human I'd like your second charrie to be Hephlanian and vice versa.
Also, feel free to suggest the RP to people.

I'll post my bios when all slots are taken, for multiple reasons.

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

Sorry for the late response, guys. :(
Got sort of busy there for the past few days.

Anyway, I'll go check out the unaproved charries and we'll go from there. :)
I'll report back momentarily.

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

Hey Rage! Great to see you again! Yeah, it's Ellie, from The Last Of Us. And thank you so very much, I only hope I get in. It would be cool and exciting for me to play someone this bad ass, as Paige. This girl is cool, and thanks for the excitement towards her. It makes me feel like I did a half way decent job on her or maybe a little more. ^.^

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

Hey, that's the girl from the Last Of Us videogame, ain't it? It's awesome! :D I for one can't wait to see her in action!

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

Finally!! I have finished and submitted my CS for the Female Genius. I hope you like her, I do. It took me legit four hours to make and find everything in it. If you don't like something about it, tell me and I'll try to do my best and fix it. Thanks again. BTW, if anyone wants to see her CS, here it is. I hope you all like, I do!! ^.^

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

Hi, Can I reserve the genius. She'll be up by some time either today, or tomorrow afternoon. If you accept, thank you very much Makenna. I've been waiting to use this FC that I have!!

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

Actually nevermind, I got kind of busy so I won't reserve or play, this is really unique and awesome and I'm sorry I didn't join.

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

@DarknessToDeath23:::
Go for it! :D

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

I'd really love to take the princess please? :]

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

I see. :)
You were approved, so yeah.
The characters are probably exactly what it is.
Glas we got that straightened out. xD

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

Awesome & really? I had the whole thing finished. I'll go take a gander at it and see if I can fix it.

EDIT: So, first I tried editing it and that didn't work. Then I tried re submitting the character, that didn't work either. So, I decided to just type out the name instead of using the special characters and it worked! :D Yay! So, sorry about the other two that didn't work. Third times the charm I guess haha...I'll go put a picture & a quote now.

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

@Rage&Pride:::
Alright! :) He's reserved.
Also, I see you've submitted his character sheet, but it's not showing anything besides the name and quote.
Is that all you submitted or...?

@Lloyd999:::
Really? Too freaky. o.o
My thought is that if there are aliens out there, at least some have got to be nice.
And let's face it, humans aren't really a peaceful species.
So I tried to represent those views in this.

And I think I know what you mean, and that I can explain.
I'm one to keep my plots vague, thereby leaving room for development.
I thought we'd add, as you say, "foreign elements" as we go, based on everyone's style.

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

I once had an idea similar to this for an RP, which I'm still developing for a story. Except, my idea took place on a human lunar colony, and the aliens were, well, more alien, and Earth itself became a lot more like Mars. I figure I'll join this RP then, though, I think this RP is missing something this type of plot would bring, 'the foreign element'. Still really cool RP though.

Re: A New Home, An Old Home

This seems really cool! I'd like to take on The Muruk-Etii, if I may?
