In the vast terrain of the Ōkami-tō island there are four different packs living in four different regions of the island, the Northern Wolves, Eastern Wolves, Southern Wolves, and the Western Wolves

The Northern Wolves and Southern Wolves have many differences and dislike each other because of them. If given the chance the packs would kill each other, but because of the weather, distance between the two packs, and different terrain the packs rarely encounter each other. The Eastern and Western Wolves are neutral packs and prefer to stay isolated amongst themselves

Northern Wolves

The Northern Wolves live on the top of the Ōkami Mountains, which stretch all the way across the northern region of Ōkami-tō. The Ōkami Mountains are covered in a thick layer of snow and only in the very peek of summer you can see small flowers growing out of this layer. Because so little grows here the crazing herds migrated towards the south were there is plenty to eat. Since the grazers migrated south it is very difficult for the wolves to find food and they live off the few mountain goats, rodents and birds that still live there. The Tōketsu ocean surrounding the north tip of Ōkami-tō is frozen enough that a full grown male could walk a few miles out without breaking through to the ice cold water below. This is perfect living conditions for the Northern Wolves who have adapted to such climates with a very thick coat. Because of this coat the Northern Wolves dont do well in warm climates, and rarely venture beyond their snowy territory.

Southern Wolves

The Southern Wolves live in the Shinrin forest, which covers the entire southern region of Ōkami-tō. it is either warm or hot in the southern region. It never snows and rarely rains. The Southern Wolves have adapted to this warm climates with a thin silky, smooth coat. If the Southern Wolves ventured into Northern Wolf territory they would most likely freeze to death before the Northern Wolves could kill them. The Shinrin Forest is flat and only has small hills. at the tip of the southern region the warm, crystal clear, Meikakuna ocean is filled with life and is an easy place to hunt. Towards the center of the Shinrin Forest there is a large clearing where herds of deer like to graze.

Eastern Wolves and Western Wolves
(recommended if you dont have much time for rp)

The Eastern Wolves live in the eastern Matsubayashi forest. The Matsubayashi Forest stretches from the western to eastern region of Ōkami-tō and separates the Northern Wolves' territory from the southern wolves'. In the eastern Matsubayashi forest wolves experience weather conditions from extreme heat to hail and snow storms. Eastern Wolves' fur coat changes with the climate, when its cold they grow in a thick winter coat and when they experience extreme heat their fur thins. Hunting is very good in the Matsubayashi Forest. Because of its varying climate many different types of prey live here. And because of plentiful food there are other predators besides the wolves, like bears and cougars.

Western Wolves
(recommended if you dont have much time for rp)

The Western Wolves live in the western part of the Matsubayashi Forest. The western Matsubayashi forest is much like its eastern part. The weather, prey, and competition are the same. The Western Wolves, unlike the other packs, have very few manners and are ruthless.
