Isis is the goddess of magic, and a clever and ambitious woman. She was known for being rather manipulative and vicious when it came to the ones that she loved, but very motherly and open to her people. Isis is often pictured as a beautiful woman with multicolored wings.
Isis was born as a result of the union between Geb and Nut, and eventually married her once-brother, Osiris. In a devious plot for her husband to become king of the gods, she poisoned the current king Ra, but feigned innocence. As he grew close to death, Isis told him she could heal him if she had his secret name. Desperate, he agreed, but Isis also gained control over Ra. After healing Ra, Isis forced him to leave the Earth, allowing Osiris to take his place as king. Isis and Osiris had a child, Horus, after their marriage.
This ultimately resulted in the ancient clash between Osiris and Set, who had been Ra's faithful lieutenant. Osiris was eventually tricked by Set. Isis, still pregnant with Horus, was forced to go on the run. She gave birth to Horus while hiding from Set, and Horus eventually sought revenge for his father.

Serqet eventually came to know and love Ra, who she valued as a strong King of the Gods. He treated her like a daughter, and she loved him. She was close friends with Isis, helping to protect her son, however she was also loyal to Ra. When Isis helped her husband overthrow Ra, she became cold towards Isis and her family.
A loving and motherly goddess, she is known for taking people under her care in times of need. Neith is paranoid, believing in some kind of huge conspiracy as to Set's plans. She is a hoarder and a known kleptomaniac of those that she does not like. Neith is also very unknowledgeable on modern world products, as she is considered to be a very 'old school goddess'. Despite this, she is an extremely skilled tracker, wise strategist, fierce warrior, and huntress.
Mythology
She is the great cat goddess in Egyptian mythology. As the daughter of the sun god, she was believed to use the sun's power to make crops grow, and was prayed to for good harvest. In the books, however, it is not shown or mentioned that Bast can generate or manipulate flames or solar power. Cats were sacred to Bast, and to harm one was considered to be a severe crime. They were regarded as guardians of the household, protecting the crops and slowing the spread of disease by catching and killing vermin. Bast was worshipped all throughout Ancient Egypt, but her cult was centered in the city of Bubastis in the 18th Nome of Lower Egypt.
Although loving and playful, Bast has a serious side to her that surfaces in the face of danger. Bast considers herself a coward for abandoning her duty to fight Apophis and because she will run when frightened. Despite this, Bast has made many self-sacrificing decisions to protect those she loves, belying her true nature as a brave warrior.
