Introduction
The school is considered an alternative to juvenile detention so alot of young offenders are sent here. It's a private school so only those who's guardians can afford to pay for it are sent, although some are sent on scholarships. Scholarships are difficult to get--these are usually reserved for few students who have a teacher or school that believes they have high potential but lack the necessary discipline to achieve anything and with parental consent are sent here. There are about 600 students (grades 9-12) from all over the world on an average year. This is NOT a school for kids who cannot keep up academically. It is extremely demanding and competitive.
The classes are extremely demanding and require a passing grade of 75% in each course. Students take a variety of courses, starting with the core compulsory courses: English, History, Science, Math, and physical education. Each course offers a wide selection of classes to choose from as well as several electives. Students are required to take 6 courses each semester (totaling: one English, history, math, science, P.E each as well as 7 electives).
All P.E courses are 1 year in length. The P.E courses are designed to teach students to direct their emotions into a healthy outlet. The Martial Arts that are available not only teach combative training but also provide healing, bring balance and teach students how to manage their emotions. However, there is also a strict code against using what they learn in class outside of the classroom. Violence is NOT tolerated at the Academy and if students abuse their training, not only will they be expelled but could possibly face criminal charges as well. To reach the advanced levels of these programs, not only do students have to pass the training but also must maintain an 85% overall grade average.
Students are also required to see a counselor once a week to deal with any academic pressures and the issues that brought them to the Academy.

Teams are assigned different responsibilities and are rotated each week in order to teach every student the different essential life skills.

Free Time: Students can earn an extra hour of free time at the end of the day a variety of ways such as: maintaining a 95% overall average in their classes for 1 month (and once grades fall below that, the extra time is taken away), a point system of good behavior (and also works in the opposite-bad behavior takes away free time and adds in extra chores), and various achievements made through extra circular activities.
Punishments:
The Isolation Cabin
There is a cabin a mile from the dorms and beside the faculty dorm. If you receive 5 negative points, you're sent to this cabin. There is no electricity, no running water, food is brought to you, a private teacher teaches your classes and you have to remain in the cabin at all times for 3 days. There is a guard positioned outside the door that keeps watch (to make sure you stay inside, no unauthorized visitors come, and that you remain safe). You aren't allowed to participate in any extra circular activities (and should there be punishments for missing a meeting/practice etc, you'll also receive that punishment (eg: if you miss more than 2 practices in a sport, you're "benched" for the next game/competition)).
Detention (4:30-5:30 pm):
If you're more than 5 minutes late for a class, you receive detention that day. Marked .5 a point
If you're late more than 2 times in a week for the same class, you get a week of detention. Marked 1 point
Incomplete homework will receive a "0" and 2 days of detention to complete make up assignment and/or study. Marked 1 point.
Extra Chores:
Are assigned to you if you receive 3 negative points. These extra chores are given by the team leader of your group and usually involve doing someone else's share of the work.
Grades:
If you're current grade in a class is below 75%, you're given 2 weeks to improve the grade (this involves extra assignments given by the teacher). If by the end of the two weeks you're still failing, you meet with your parents/guardians, the dean, teacher of the class and your counselor to discuss what needs to be done to pull the grade up and reasons for the mark.
Despite the Academy being very elite, most of the teachers are corrupted. The Dean, General Cornappilis, is an older retired military general who hates teenagers and views the school as a way to "set them straight". He's mean, overly strict, and borderline abusive--that is when he's not smiling for the parents and convincing them that he loves children and will guide their's like they're his own. He's extremely two-faced and believes that for most of the students at his school, the only way to set them straight is by beating the individuality and rebellion out of them. The students are only allowed to refer to him as "Sir".
Some teachers agree with Cornappilis' approach while others abuse their power in different ways. Some will accept bribes of a variety from both students and parents to give them passing grades on assignments. However, there are still some teachers that genuinely want to help the teenagers and become more than just teachers, and are mentors and advocates for their rights.
The students also find ways to break all the rules. Whether it's through paying off guards, teachers or fellow students or blackmail, students still find ways to sneak off campus, party, fight, etc. There's an underground gang of students, most are 12th graders. Only two freshmen are initiated each year and initiation is usually extremely dangerous. This group manages to find ways to deal drugs, smuggle alcohol onto the campus, participate in a fight club, and other illegal activities.
Monthly field trips include: going into the city, camping, hiking,

"ohhh so this is trick the guy you said id get along with huh." she smirked down at the guy with the flousy girls under his arms. Mackenzie looked at drew when he said for trick not to make a big deal out of it. What did he mean? What would he do? She thought.
She turned to drew and grabbed onto his arm and jumped up and down excitedly. "oh ooo oh oo hey Drewie! What about girls!? Can I wrestle with you? Or anybody." she smiled excitedly looking up at drew who was way taller than herself and bigger in his muscular stature. She looked up at him with innocent eyes and smiled a sweet looking smile at him, a genuine one too.

"No, I've been here since I was 8. Good guess at Korean though, most people think I'm Japanese. It gets quite irritating sometimes." She ran her fingers through her short hair and ate a spoonful of yogurt, then looked at his food, of which he had picked to pieces but not really eaten.
"You going to eat that, or just pick at it? It's not health, you know?"

"So um... Greg wants to meet with you tonight about that um...thing..." he looked at Mackenzie nervously and then back at Andrew, "what do you want me to tell him?"
"Looks like we're going to have to wrestle later," he winked at her and looked back at the boy, "call him and tell him I'll meet him at 7 and call Berry too and tell him he's late with my delivery. We've got customers waiting. Find out what's taking him so long." He ordered and looked back at Mackenzie. "And you... there's a few things you need to do before I can allow you to hang out here. You interested?" He asked, trying to think of an initiation that would be appropriate for her.
----
"oh ok," he smiled and took a bite of his fruit cup and blushed when she asked if he was going to eat or not. "I'm a slow eater," he laughed, "and not that hungry..." He swallowed and looked around, "so what do you like to do? You said you were in dance? What kind?" He asked, switching the subject and trying to eat more.

"Awh man I really wanted to though." she made a pouting face and giggled to herself batting her eyelashes innocently.
Then Andrew said something about she had to do some things. "what kind of things Andrew. Never mind I don't care! I wanna do anything you want me to do Andrew. " she smiled an stood next to him looking up at him.

"What about you? What are you interested in?"

"Well... tell me what you're good at. I like to use people's natural talents--they enjoy it more and I have a feeling you're going to be pretty useful around here." He said with a smile. The boy walked away, pulling out a phone and whispering into it. "Common," he took her over to the other door that was near the tv and opened it up. Inside there was a small office like space with a desk and locked cupboards. Behind the cupboards were weapons, drugs, and money that Trick and Andrew had brought in. He pointed to the chair across from the desk and sat down on the corner of the desk. "So, tell me what kind of skills you could offer this group. We're involved in some...questionable deals and I'm looking for someone to help keep the school out of my business."
----
"Dance is great. I love ballet. My dad owns a bunch of opera houses and my adopted brother has a bunch of ballet studios." He managed to finish off his fruit cup while she talked, "I know what you mean about keeping busy. I swear the only time I'm still is when I'm sleeping or doing homework. I love school, it's kind of my obsession. I was supposed to be graduating this year but Valley Reform has a tougher curriculum so I decided to do 11 again. Besides school though... hmm I love to read. I'm really into psychology and religions. I like music too and chess and I love to run." He rambled, "what kind of music do you like?"
0.00 INK
'So you are ment to be in grade 12 this year? You dont look any older then me though!" She was a little confused, biting her bottom lip, trying to work it out, "So that would mean... I'm confused..." She pouted a little then smiled.
"Psycology is very interesting. I would love to be able to look at someone and know what they are feeling just by examining their body language... Religion isn't really my thing though... Too many wars caused over it." "I like music too and chess..."
"You like chess? I'm in the chess club. It's pretty cool. Oh... Music genre? Well, K-pop mostly. I like most Korean music. But I guess I like some classical and Jazz too. I like to listen to Classical music while I do my studying. It helps me concentrate."

Andrew then took her hand and lead her too what looked to be his office. Wow hes got everything he's so professional and important I love it. She thought to herself.
"well Im good at persuading men and causing distractions. That's pretty useful. And I can take a beating if worse comes to worse. I know how manipulate people and I'm great at reading people like their actions and I know how to user hands and mouth in necessary ways." she winked and smirked at andrew.

Andrew's jaw twitched as she talked abut what she was talented at. He smiled and nodded, "then I think you'll be pretty helpful around here. I have a little problem right now. I've been trying to arrange this shipment for some time now but they put a new guard on duty that watches the area where it comes in. I need someone to distract him tonight for about an hour or two while we bring it in and so he can get out without any problems. If you do well, I'll make sure no one fucks with you and that you always have a place here. But...if you fail... there's going to be some issues. Think you can handle it?" He asked, his eyebrow raised.

"I can do it. I might be kinda vulnerable but I can pull it off without a sweat. No worries. I have a plan already in my head for what I'll do with him." She winked and smirked at Andrew and leaned back in her chair staring over his desk at him confidently. "And then after, then you and I can wrestle." She laughed smiling at the thought of wrestling with him.
0.00 INK
Andrew smiled, "good, I'm glad to hear it." He winked when she said they could wrestle. "I'm not asking you to have sex with him by the way. Just keep him distracted, take some alcohol with you if you want. I can even give you something to slip him to knock him out for a bit. If something goes wrong and he hurts you--let me know and I'll take care of it. I like to take care of the people in this group and if someone fucks with you and does something you don't want them to do--though I don't doubt your ability to take care of yourself, I'll take care of them for you. Safety isn't something you'll have to worry much about. I'm just glad you're interested in doing it." He stood up and finished off his drink and went to a cupboard and pulled out another bottle. Sitting down, he poured himself a glass of whiskey and lit a cigarette, inhaling the smoke slowly and swallowing half of his glass of whiskey. "So what grade you in anyway? I'd like to know more about you but don't feel like you gotta say anythin you don't wanna."
0.00 INK
"Well, I like.. I don't know actually. I like Tai Kwon Do, Hanging out with friends... Boys. Well, I mean.." She blushed a little and smiled. "Not you. I've only just met you... And from what I've seen and heard, you are most probably gay-- But if you're not, I'm sorry!" She pushed her timetable over to him, changing the subject.
"Umm, This is my time table... Its pretty chocablock..." And she was right. The timetable was full to the brim, much of her free periods taken over with electives and extra curricular subjects. She was busy most lunches too by the look of her timetable.
