Haera Keavaris's Story

The sun doesn’t get the chance to wake up first when it comes to Filarion and his daughter Roshia. Both are up a good bit before it does and have a special routine they like to do. Each like to stretch, look over the house, and make breakfast. Though for Filarion he likes to check on the rest of the children that live there and makes a bigger breakfast. Roshia makes enough for herself and maybe her two brothers, Nasir and Elwin, though Nasir only comes when Ameria is home by the time Nasir decides to leave his home early enough.

The next to wake up is Penelo and Ameria. Both ladies have a quick meal before they are out the door. They go down to the dock and mediate, something they have been doing since America was a child. Next is everyone else, though Nasir usually is up, but just lays in bed staring at the ceiling wondering what the hell he is doing with his life and if he will be remembered if he left this world. Dark thoughts for such a solitude man.

Now all the family is up and it is time for them to begin the day.

(We are going to be doing a short time skip as bizarre 1 is no longer active and I can not reach them)

Ofelia waited until river had finished up with the foreign man's needs and then reserved her customers a room for the requested dates. She said thank you and bowed to both river and the man she had just met and bid them farewell. She then began her rather long walk back to he dragon ranch to tend to the small dragons and hatchlings​.

When Ofelia arrived in the dragon nursery she found that one of the young dragons had completely destroyed her table and chairs. She sighed deeply and scooped the culprit up. " I guess it's time for you to join the adolescents..You little trouble maker!" Ofelia chuckled slightly at the goat sized dragon she was carrying. She took him out to the pasture he kept the adolescent dragons in, and after checking for aggressive behavior from any of them, she shut the gate and began walking the property line between her farm and the neighboring families land. " I suppose I will have to order a new set of chairs and a table soon.." she shook her head.

Ofelia continued to walk the property line, looking for any dragons that might have crossed into her neighbor's land, as it had happened before and was not a pleasant deal.

Ofelia walked along singing to herself an old elvish song her father had taught her. Few people had heard Ofelia sing, but she had a sweet calming tone. Ofelia's mother was known for her beautiful singing, and her voice was one of the few things Ofelia had inherited from her.

She walked along until she heard some rustling, and then, the sound of someone chopping wood. Ofelia peeked around some trees to find a man from the neighboring family, cutting down a thick tree. She paused for a moment and looked him over. 'Must be Nasir? I had heard he makes beautiful furniture..I haven't seen him since we were both small. He looks well.' She thought to herself. She hesitated to call out to him at first. Their fathers had not been on great terms since the dragon disaster that had happened when they were young. But, Ofelia thought it might be time to forget that and work together once again.

She stepped forward, into plain view, careful not to cross the property line. "Hello? You're Nasir, right? Do you remember me? I'm Ofelia Taryn..." She spoke out stepping further into the sunlight as she did. The sun glimmered off of her pale blonde hair as she bowed slightly to the man. "It's nice to see you again...Would you be interested in building something for me? I have heard wonderful things about your work." She stated as she stood up straight, her face slightly flushed. She wasn't used to talking to men alone, let alone asking anyone for anything. She found herself a tad nervous as she waited for a reply.

Haera had heard about the wedding from her mother. She was shocked that Roshia was the first in the family to be wed. She honestly thought she would have stayed single for the rest of her life, only thing she wanted to be with was her Cossie and nature. So when Haera heard the news it didn't sink in for a while. Now she was scraping up something that would be decent for her to wear. She decided on a nice blue shirt that was long enough to be a semi dress and some black leggings with all the fixings, placed them in a bag, and headed for the lake. She was just about to leave the city when she seen a familiar face, "I know you from somewhere. She said, still dressed in her armored attire with shield and war hammer hanging from her hips.

"I'd be more surprised if ye didn't know me I am Natilia Silven, the best damn treasure Hunter this damn floating rock has." Natilia sized up the woman before her. Mix of dwarf and elf features...
"Seems like I should be knowing you too... One of them Keavers or what ever am I right?"

Her eyebrow rose, "Keavaris." She stated. Haera looked up at the sky, the sun was in a good spot. She had some time to talk. "What brings you back? Not enough treasure?" She smirked, one hand on her hip while the other one dangled. She knew of the girl, heard some things about her, and seen her a few times. Though it hadn't been too long that she had been out.

"Right that be the name... Though I can't place which one you be... didn't know a dwarf and pointy ear could have so many kiddes..." Natilia said "though I ramble prehaps I'll tell ye of me last adventure or should I say misadventure..over a pint or three."
Natilia motioned to the bar " What ya say lass?"

"Sure, I have a some time." She walked with the girl to the pub, but when she went to open the door it wouldn't budge. A neighboring businessman looked over, "Sorry ladies, owner closed shop for the day. Apparently his wife had their baby. Oh, Haera! Is that you? And who...well I be damned, that is Natilia. Two of the best people to see, sorry to have to give you two some bad news. There is a tavern over by the lake. Maybe try there?" Haera waved, "Hey, Mr. Caliner. Will do. Tell Baker I said congratulations and I hope that kid don't look like him." She laughed and turned to Natilia who didn't look too happy.

"Well of all the times to have a baby..." Muttered Natilia. "Well the other damn tavern better be open or me foot will be up someone's arse."
Natilia nudged her mount on muttering about weeks with no ale along with some very unladylike words. After a few moments she seemed to remember Haera. She looked back and called "hey ya still with me Lassie?"

The rumors of her being a handful was true. Haera was a woman who loved the thrill in a battle, but she also knew how to keep her cool and seemed respectable. She shook her head, "I have to head that way anyway. Sis, has a wedding. Might as well knock one back before I have to meet with people I don't know." She said and headed towards the lake. She could see the tavern and headed that way. Neither of them made much of talk, though Natilia did have a few choice words about her not being able to drink in the city. Haera managed not to role her eyes.

The tavern was open, but on one was inside. "I will grab us a cold one and put the pay on the counter." She said disappearing behind the bar and filled two glasses up. She slid one to Natilia and one for herself. Digging in her pocket she put the money next to the register and went back around the bar and sat.

Natilia dismounted and headed inside the tavern. She sat and took a long drink before turning to Haera. " So I know I promised ye a tale of my last outing...but I'm afraid ye talk of weddings has me curious. I have not heard of such. So which of ye sisters is gettin hitched?"




Akayia made her way to the wedding grounds she was sure many of the family would most likely have something to say to her so she breathed slowly to calm herself as she walked. Her nerves were on edge but she knew she couldn't show it in front of the families and guests.

Kel looked through the eggs in the hatchery and then saw one which had what looked like blue zebra stripes with black speckling as well. It was a beautiful egg and it was twitching with the pecking and scratching from inside. He picked that one up, it was warm to the touch. It started wiggling and the scratching and pecking was getting louder.
"Oh my gosh I think it's hatching now. Come watch this." He said as he turned to Zero.

The egg began to crack open and before he knew it he saw a tiny little dragon beak broke through the shell. Suddenly, a cute little blue and black baby dragon face poked out of the shell. It let out a little squeaking noise when it saw Kel. It was the cutest reptile he'd ever seen.

"Ofelia, can you come out here? One of the babies picked me and it's hatching I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to do here, but it's so cute." He glanced up from his new baby and saw his tavern down the lakefront and saw some people going in. "Oh man, I forgot to lock the door, I need to get over there. But I can't just abandon this little guy. Hey Zero, can you tell Ofelia that I took this little guy with me and I had to see what was going on at the tavern. I'll pay her whatever she wants just send her to the tavern. You should come by too sometime. Talk to you later."

He took off to the tavern. He walked into the tavern and saw the two people in there.

"Okay you guys, normally I'd be pissed that you just barged right into my tavern when I wasn't home, but seeing how I didn't lock the door and you obviously left the money for the drinks here, I'll overlook the breaking in thing." He hurried in and sat the dragon egg down on the bar as it continued to hatch.

She took a swig from her drink and waited a moment to answer. "Second to youngest sister, Roshia. She is marrying Rowan. Two people who denied people left and right... end up marrying each other." Haera laughed. She took another swig and looked at her. "Didn't fancy you for a wedding type."

"You'll be findin I'm full of surprises lass" Natilia said with a smirk. "Though I must be admitin that I never pegged those two as a couple." Natilia took a drink then added " Damn strange world we live in"

Natilia paused to take another drink. "I didn't come to town for a wedding though I was hoping to get up a group of able bodies...take up where me last group fell behind...or it be more accurate to say fell below...damn ruins broke right though to the sky whole damn party fallin to the blue..."

Natilia sighed almost looking sad " I found a new way in them ruins though...a safer way...."

Natilia looked to the ground "But probably bad timing now with the whole town comin out for a hitchin."

Natilia looked at Haera all serious now "I am invited to this shindig right lassie?"

"Thank you so much. Sorry I left so suddenly, I saw people coming into the tavern and realized that I hadn't locked the door. And by that time this little guy was starting to hatch. He's so cute. I'll pay you whatever the cost is for him." He smiled as the little hatchling pushed away the rest of his shell and started to crawl around on the bar. Kel picked him up and cuddled him. The dragon made happy sounding growls and chirping sounds. He set the little guy on the floor and he rubbed up against his legs as Cire came up to him and sniffed him before cuddling up to him as well.

"Awe, look they like each other." He smiled. He then walked over to the other two ladies in the tavern.

"Sorry to freak out on you ladies, I didn't know what to think when I saw you coming in here. It's not just a tavern, I live upstairs so I was just a little freaked out. I normally remember to lock the door, but I guess I was in a hurry. Was there anything else I could get for you?"

Haera chuckled, taking the last swig from her drink. She liked the white tiger. Hadn't seen those in a long time. "Tis alight. Sorry to just barge in. Didn't want this one to freak. She smiled and pointed to the redhead next to her. "I put the money by the register, if it is too little I will give you the rest, too much you can keep it." She said.

Haera looked to the redhead, before going out and seeing what time it was. "Shit. She was going to be in a shit pit. She looked back at Nat. "I lost track of time and it is over... you said you were looking for people? I think I would be safer going out to the ruins than going home right now." She laughed. "Though I am more of a fighter kind of gal."

"Fighters is what I be needin lass!" Said Natilia "them monsters and critters always be findin a way in and set in up camp. Goblins, Orcs, and all other manner of nasties..."

Natilia took a swig " But that's what makes it fun lass the challenge...That and the damn big pot o' gold at the end." Natilia smirked and gave Haera a wink.

Haera laughed and thought about it. "Well I am up for it. It would be something to do and chasing bounties get boring. Count me in! She ordered another round for the both of them. It was a time to celebrate!

"Aye that's the spirit Lass!" Natilia said with a grin.
Natilia raised her mug in a toast, "To adventure, gold, and beautiful warrior women!" She said with a smirk and sly wink at Haera before downing her ale.

Haera grinned and shook her head. She had no idea what she was getting into, but she knew it would be an adventure if she stuck with Nat. "If I have to save your ass more than once I expect an award, you know. She said above her drink before taking a gulp. The girl was cute, in a sense of hot mess, but she had a thing for redheads. She shook away the thought. Haera had no time for anything past friendship.
