Tessa rolled her eyes at the nurse and glanced around at the other patients. She reached up and touched the god awful metal head band that they had fastened to her head. People's memories and actions were their own to control. That is what they kept telling her. Then, of course, they also said that "She" did not exist but they didn't have her convinced. Tessa winced slightly and then shook her head. She hated when "She" talked to her. It was enough to make any crazy but that was the problem. She wasn't crazy. Getting her breakfast, she found herself a table against the wall. With her back against the wall, she pulled her knees up to her chest and tried to ignore the shaking in her arms. Whenever she tried to block out the memories of others, it made her shake uncontrollably. Like it took more work not to see them then it did to see them. Still her shaky hand was even more noticeable as she picked up a piece of toast and nibbled at it.
