Jae sighed as he rolled out of bed. He woke up and glanced at his phone. No texts or calls from Hazel. He hoped she was okay. He hoped she broke up with that asshole. He winced just thinking off all the pain she was probably in. He picked up his phone and dialed the number he knew by heart. He smiled when she answered.
"Hey. You okay? Feeling okay?" She didn't answer after awhile. He waited, getting even more nervous by the second.
"I'm fine. It doesn't eve hurt," she sang. He could have growled at the lie and he told her that. He told he'd come over later around dinner time. But, that wasn't true. He was going to her house as soon as he saw that...monsters car. He would keep his promise. He wouldn't hurt Alex unless Alex hurt him first. Surely, Hazel would understand the idea of selfdefense.
