Alex sighed as he drove down the road. "Ugh....what have I done?" he shook his head slightly. "Why do I always lose it around her? It's.....unnatural..." he trailed off, not wanting to think about it. "Damn it!" he suddenly said, slamming his fist into the side door, almost causing him to veer off the road. "Geez, I'm a real mess.....I've got to control myself better...." he wasn't paying much attention to the road at this point.

Hazel couldn't stand seeing Jae so upset. She felt terrible. Yet another thing that was her fault. She put he hand on his and rubbed soothing circles into it. "Jae, I'm sorry.............." She sighed, sucking back tears. She heard the phone ringing and she glanced down. Finally, Jae spoke. He told her to leave and she nodded. He walked her out, though he didn't need to.
"Put some clothes," she says, giggling.
She walked her way across the dark lawns, glanced behind her shoulder the whole time. She walked into her house, but didn't call for anyone. Her mom was asleep and her dad was already at work. Sighing, she clambered her way up the stairs. When she slipped into her room, she did her regular bed ritual. Then, she plopped into bed. She picked up her phone.
New Message: To Alex: Hey....... I'm sorry about what happened. If you wanna, my parents won't be home tomorrow, you can come to my place.

She smiled at her phone when it buzzed. She opened the text and she smiled again. She bit her lip, pondering what to say. It was so nice to hear him apologize. Technically, she read it. She was just happy he said the words 'I'm sorry.' She flopped onto her pillow and sighed. She could go to sleep now. Until now, she had forgotten about the text.

She knew the bruises slowly forming on her body were going to make impossible for her to forget about 'it.' But, to her it doesn't matter if she can't forget about it. Hazel was in a half asleep state when her phone buzzed. She clicked on the message and smiled. He was sorry. He said he was sorry. Alex had uttered the words sorry. Jae was wrong. Alex was a good guy, somewhere in there. She would reply, but she was so exhausted that she collapsed right on her bed. She drifted towards sleep thinking of Alex, but her last thought was about Jae and what she saw today.
The next morning, Hazel woke with a yawn. She leaped from bed, but then winced. Her leg hurt from where the door struck her and her wobbled. She walked into her bathroom slowly and sighed. Her cheek was still red and her arm had a bruise on it. She put some make-up on to cover up the marks. She'd make sure to wash them off before Alex came over, so she could secretly punish him.
She walked downstairs in black shorts and a gray off the shoulder shirt, underneath she had a black bra and the straps showed. She smiled at her parents, "Good morning," she sang. They muttered replies, seeing as they were in a hurry to leave. Within minutes, her mom was kissing her forehead and the house was silent. She sent Alex a text telling him to come over.
