Tali leaned back in her chair, her boots thrown up over the surface of her desk, a book held in one hand, and a drink in the other--non alcoholic. Many found it strange that Tali Visneia seemed to be free of vices--smoking and drinking only two--but they seemed to associate that with whatever was 'wrong' with her. It was her own choice that she preffered not to damage her own body with such destructive habits as smoking and alcohol. Shelves lines the walls of her neat and orderly office; most were packed with books, while some held strange and exotic artifacts, some of great beauty--and some that were downright frightening. On the shelf behind her desk, directly in front of Tali, was a pair of scales--on one side was the Sun, radiant, bright, the symbol of justice, good, happiness, and peace. And on the other was the darkened Luna, brooding, wicked, the symbol of ill intent, misfortune, plague, cruelty, chaos. Currently, the scales were tipped, just barely, towards Luna.

As Tali sipped from her drink, she heard someone knock at her door, and then a familiar voice call her name. Placing aside the drink and book, Tali moved to the door and opened it, revealing Roy Mustang. "Yes? What can I do for you?" she asked, though with her flat tone it sounded more like a dull observation than a question.
