If the Colonel had been a cat, her ears would have perked up at the sound. It was as if it were being shot in this very room. She could hear it clear as day. When Isaac stopped talking, her cane made its way to the floor. There was no sense of excitement in the room they were in, a little curiosity, maybe a little confusion, but no one was really interested in the noise. It mustn't have been as loud to them as to her. Standing quickly, Darna reminded herself of her entrance and turned in that direction.

"Well, kiddo. I would have loved to stay and chit-chat, but something has just caught my ear. I believe it's my duty, and my curious nature, to go and take a look at what that noise was." She knew exactly what a gunshot sounded like. As a Colonel she'd fired many in practice and a few times in necessity, unfortunately. With a nod in his direction, she made her way to the doors she come through, much faster than any blind person should really move. In fact, to a person watching her, they'd notice she wasn't even using her walking cane.

Making her way toward the noise, the sense of anxiety in the air, and the loud voices in the area of the incident, Darna could only imagine what had happened. Mustang had recently been up to something, she knew. The young woman could sense he was constantly thinking of the same thing. She had yet to be in on that something, but she was hoping he'd look passed her "handicap" and let her in on the little secret. She had helped with the exams, not something she always enjoyed. Did this hiccup have something to do with that? Would he know who was involved and what was going on? Because she sure as hell wouldn't know.

Too bad she had to leave the young man at the table. Talking to him and learning his ways would have been very nice. But this was a much more important task, obviously. As she ran down the hall, she bumped into a lot of people, cussed them out as she ran, demoted some (which she didn't actually have the power to do, but it felt damned good) and then muttered something about a stiff drink. She was getting closer though, because no one was running passed her anymore. Instead they were running in the same direction. She was getting close.
