"What the hell are you people talking about?" Rethyn muttered as he watched the Cleric ramble on about how God works to the King, but not wishing to be in the way, he chose to remain silent and just listen. He was actually waiting for the King to dismiss him from the room, but amongst all of the current chaos of dragon attacks and such, he must have been forgotten. Still, through this he might be able to pick a few things up about the news outside Fangotha. Besides, it wasn't just any day a commoner could see the King eye to eye.

Slipping his hands into his lien brown coat quietly, Rethyn checked his hidden pockets. Thankfully, the metal of the four needles could still be felt against his fingertips. There were two of them in the right pocket, and two on the left. As long as they weren’t noticed he could leave peacefully. Pulling his hands back out and to his sides without a sound, he couldn't help but feel shaky. He was carrying concealed weapons in the Royal home which already was a mistake with grave consequences. Even worse was the fact he'd feel like he just betrayed the little trust he gained.

Walking over to the wall casually he leaned against it and gave a smirk to the two buffoons of guards. He swore to himself if one of them ever put a hand on him again in a dark alley he'd poison them with a painful mixture of poisons. Then the both of them would know not to lash out at random citizens. Rethyn knew though if he encountered a man with red eyes amongst seas of other shades he'd be just scared. In the city of Fangotha, he knew he was the only red eyed being in the city. Why though? Was he just a monster, or was it another reason?

"Answers to puzzling questions only unlock doors with more locked doors behind them." Rethyn thought to himself, "But nothing is insoluble."

Glancing over at the group again, Rethyn was a mere shadow.
