After running through the forest a little ways, a came upon a hill that had a decent view of the lake clearing. After climbing it, I removed my telescope from its place in my pack and looked to see what I could see. There seemed to be a group of "people" by the lake. They were standing by... the man I stabbed! He moved slightly, and they appeared to be treating him. I felt an immense rush of relief as I knew he was alive, for know I knew I hadn't killed another man. And the best part of it was he hadn't seen me, so he wouldn't be able to recognize me, and I hadn't spoke to-- Great, I thought, I had whispered to him. Well, hopefully he was in too much of a daze to remember my voice. In any case, I would have to keep a look out on the lake to see if anyone else was sent out to scout the area.
