Daen too seemed to be rambling but his eyes kept darting back to Zmey's face as if gauging her reaction. He was likely only doing so for her comfort, still, he was having fun. He had been worried that she'd be another soulless, stuck up vamp when he first saw the bored expression on her face, but seeing her grin lifted his hopes a little.
