Daen's hand moved from her shoulder to Zmey's upper back, gently massaging as the fingers of his other hand tried to massage tenderly at her temples.
"Easy there, Vampire," he whispered, his voice sincere. "Breathe, Zmey once you're calm I'll help you to your Dorm."
His voice was soft, comforting as he tried to rub out the tension from his new friend. He wasn't the most educated student at the academy but he wasn't dumb, he new her control had been slipping, and he knew that she had overdone it with her powers. He himself was no stranger to the pains and headaches of overusing his powers, though by now he was mostly used to it. He leaned into the girl beside him, his hands still working on easing her tension as his deep breaths, and warm purring, worked to ease her into a more steady breathing.
