Daen returned the look with a questioningly raised brow.
"Something wrong?" he said as he stood and helped Zmey up to her feet, letting her lean on his thin frame for support. "You looked like you were about to say something else.
He grabbed what was left of the trays and, as he was leading Zmey past the cafeteria exit, he placed them in a bin for collecting the trash and trays. From there he led her through the hallway, heading towards the girls' dormitory. Technically boys were not permitted to enter, some didn't even know where it was located, but Daen had been going in and out of every room of this building since he arrived, he knew the grounds better than some of the faculty.
