"Will you stop apologizing already?" he asked, scolding her good-naturedly. "Besides, it was kinda kinky, you biting me, me clawing you, bodies pressed together... I can see a lot of potential in this friendship."

He chuckled to himself. His tone was clearly in jest but even still, without seeing his face, Zmey couldn't be sure just how much of what he said was a joke.

"So, think you'll be alright now?" he asked, his arms still wrapped around Zmey's shoulders.

He led her into her room, somehow managing to unlock the door without a key. As he brought her in he closed the door behind her and walked her all the way over to the bed, just as he promised himself he would. And yet, even in this room, where it was just them, he kept himself invisible, though the parts of him in direct light would occasionally fade in and out of sight.
