Despite herself, a chill ran down Asmara's spine at the Templar's words. Utter determination... she'd been on the wrong end of that, before. She was perhaps fortunate to be alive despite it. Maybe that was why she had been made a Warden: known apostates did not often survive long. Then again, maybe it was the fact that the people in the town she'd lived beside had several times failed to turn her over to such inquisition due to her benign nature. It helped, being able to heal their sickness when the Chantry could not.

All of that though, was in the past, and she was going to need all she had to survive the present. "Then if you would be my shield, Ser, I would be your voice where yours might not reach." Her tone was solemn, and there was perhaps more weight behind it than nineteen-year-olds were truly meant to carry. But, fair or not, it was a burden she had accepted willingly, and she would bear it until it killed her, by taint or by the cruelty of men, whichever came first. "I would appreciate your help as well, if you would give it, Antius. I know not how many other Grey Wardens might be around, or even if any survived Ostagar, but I think seeking them out might be a good idea, and I know well enough the value of magic."

Asmara was bone-weary and ready to drop, but if the two men thought moving now would be a good idea, then she would force herself to keep on walking. Not for the first time, she wished dearly that she had not been separated from her beloved horse, but things were as they were and not otherwise; dwelling upon it would serve her no purpose.

It was ironic, really, the fact that someone like Ser Le-Guy was offering his assistance to someone like her, and she felt a bit guilty for not being completely forthright with him about her former status. Still she was apostate no longer; another mage-Warden had checked her for any signs of blood magic or possession and found none, so as far as anyone need know, she had never been one at all. She looked between the two of them, and for the first time in two weeks, believed she might actually survive this whole incident, let alone the night.
