"I'm afraid you can't do that, Miss." Spanner, who had apparently been listening in, finally turned around the corner to join Reborn and Devin. He bowed lightly to the Sun Guardian as if apologizing for eevesdropping. "If you are looking for someone you know in the future, that could be an issue. You see, if you were in the future of your present, no balance would be disturbed. But if you see someone here that you know in the future, problems could arrise. Don't you think it would be weird for them if they knew you in your present, but saw them in this time?" He twirled his lolipop around in his mouth before pulling it out and sticking in a new one. "Reborn, I just thought you should know that we're picking up activity on the cameras. The Vongola and the other female guardian appear to have been attacked."

Even though she was exiting, Laney heard Spanner's voice loud and clear. Cursing lightly, she pushed her aching body into a run and began on the journey. As soon as they were aways from the base, she tapped the button on her headset and cleared her throat. "Spanner, do you read?"

The blonde young man took a step away from Reborn and Devin as if excusing himself. A hand to the small bluetooth at his ear, he turned ninety degrees and said, "Yeah, Laney, what's up?"

"Where's the activity?"

"Out in the woods. If you keep going straight for about a hundred hards, then take a hard left, you should see where they are." Until now, the contacts in his eyes wouldn't have been noticable. They displayed the map of the territories they knew and anyone who entered their base, if only once. "Be careful, Laney," he added after a seconds thought. "Their opponents have intense flames. I know you don't want to accept it, but you might not be able to protect them."

Laney, who had been hurrying in the direction he'd mentioned, halted behind a tree. "I have to protect them, Spanner. That's my duty." Though it was unspoken, there was the 'as an arcobaleno' added onto the end. If anyone knew, Spanner was one of them. He'd watched out for her unlike some of the others. He'd taken in her in and treated her like family when nobody else did. The only other who knew was Reborn, but she'd made him swear to never speak of it openly unless need be.

Spanner sighed. "Take care, sis," he said quietly before tapping off his microphone and turning back to the others.
