Spanner's eyes immediately narrowed. "The Lunar Wolf? What is he to you?" He twirled the lolipop around in his mouth as his quick mind listed out all the posibilities. It wasn't until he observed the girl closely that he found a probably answer. "You don't happen to be related to him... do you?" he asked slowly, scratching his curly blonde hair with a gloved hand. "If you are, what I said is all the more a problem. It could have the same effect as your younger version from this time - baby or not - seeing you; it could completely throw off the balance." He paused as there was some static in his headset. He pressed the button on the side before saying, "Laney, that you?"

"Yeah, that's right," Laney replied to Gokudera as she turned on her headset. Spanner's response was immediate. Good, their connection hadn't been severed. "We've been spotted by a storm bat and I can hear those guys out a little farther in the woods. We'll be returning shortly."

"Roger. Oh damn, make sure you give Takeshi and Misami chains for their vongola rings. That's probably how they were found."

"Gotcha." Both blonde flicked off their microphones simultaneously. They were an uncanny pair when it came to communication. They seemed to understand each other much better than anyone else. Of course, the only person closer to Laney than Spanner was Hotoke, but he was, for now, a secret.
