Antius yawned a little as he sat down next Asmara, against the cave wall. He was terribly tired himself, though he did take time to consider Asmara's response to her comment. It was neither coquettish encouragement he often observed in the Circle Tower, nor outright rejection. Interesting, either she was trying to confuse him or she was oblivious to his attempt to compliment her. He'd have to give it further thought.

Yawning, he set his pack against the wall to use as a pillow. It was still nice to meet her and these other companions of his. He hadn't made a friend since... Jowan. Thoughts flashed through his head of his former best friend, of the times they spent together, studying and worrying about the Harrowing (well, he mostly did the former and Jowan, the latter), of wondering what it was like outside the tower, and then, Jowan's bragging about his secret girlfriend. He grimaced as images of the night of Jowan's escape flashed through his mind, particularly his memory of the instant Jowan shattered his phylactery and the moment he turned Blood Magic loose on the Templars, First Enchanter, Lily, and even himself. Then there was the punishment Antius faced for setting loose a Blood Mage.

Antius mentally shook off those thoughts. He was away from the Circle at the moment, free to study as he pleased, and he was certain his companions wouldn't betray him as Jowan had. With that thought, Antius then drifted off to sleep.
