Gabriel was incredibly confused. And annoyed. He hadn't been expecting this kind of response from a Succubus, had never been prepared for what to do should the situation arise. That meant he was fumbling in the dark, and the balance of control was all in Flora's hands. He was of two minds, and unsure which path to follow. It seemed like she was genuinely trying to help him (most likely in an attempt to ensure her own safety), and even he had to admit that inside information would be invaluable in completing this assignment as quickly as possible. However at the same time trusting her could mean that he was taken further from the truth by her feeding him false information, or she could simply direct him to a quiet location and have him disposed of. After a few seconds of intense thought, he decided he to trust her, if only in part, and see how it went.
He had to admit, this was definitely going to be a case that would hold his full interest for as long as it lasted, and this time when he smiled it had some genuine emotion behind it. "Your very existence is based off of you harming people, and yet you are so eager not to be harmed yourself? Fine, I swear that whilst we are in this club I will not harm you." now his voice took on a business-like tone "I am Gabriel Castor, Hunter Elect of Division 21 of the Organisation, and for your information no-one gets hunted for nothing. Only the guilty are punished, and that is why I am here."
Whereas Flora smiled at onlookers, he continued to forcefully stare them down until they diverted their gaze, whilst rooting around in his pocket for something. He brought it out, and placed it on the table. It was the picture of a body, shrivelled and lifeless, seemingly devoid of all youth. Once again Gabriel's tone changed, this time to a sort of mournfulness with an undertone of anger. "One of your kind, here, in this city, killed this poor kid. Drained him dry. As you should be aware, the punishment for this crime is of course death. Now whoever did this must have gained a lot of energy, so I will ask you this one question: do you know anyone, anyone at all, who seems suddenly so full of life its like they're a whole new person?"
If she wasn't lying and said no, then this clearly wasn't the work of an individual, and if she said yes the target would be obvious. Either way he stood nothing to lose for now. He had made his move, now it was her turn...
Of course, had he known his appartment was being broken into as he spoke, he would've been furious. Not that he wouldn't be furious when he found out, but nobody can be in two places at once. Apart from inter-dimensional beings, but that wasn't the point. Luckily for him there wasn't really anything much to find in the apartment. There was the pizza box in the bin, his contacts in the bathroom, and two spare sets of identical clothes to what he was wearing now in his dresser. The only real thing of any importance, which nobody would understand who wasn't already in the business, were his orders. Located at the bottom of the top drawer of his dresser, it was a piece of paper with the ornate seal of the Organisation printed on one side, and three simple words on the other- 'Seek and destroy.'
