Carmen rubbed her head, there was a sharp pain in the back, probably from when she fell. She stood up, her legs shaking from dizziness, and tried to stable herself on a tree.
"Where on Earth am I?" She asked, inspecting her arms and legs to make sure she hadn't injured herself. She tended to do that a lot. She turned to the boy who was next to her. He seemed to be sleeping, and she didn't want to leave him all alone.
Carmo checked her pepper spray ring to make sure she hadn't broken it, it was fine.
Then, she looked at the boy. He seemed about her age, with silvery blue hair and tan skin. He was handsome and had silky looking clothing on, with blue markings on his arms and face.
"You must be my guardian," She whispered, touching his arm, "I feel like I know you." Carmen felt some sort of connection with this boy, as if she had seen him in a dream or something.
His face was so peaceful as he laid there. The forest seemed eerily quiet, and it was unsettling. She sat down next to him, bringing her body as close to his as possible, he made her feel safe. Not so alone.
