Eos kept his hand tight on Archer's shoulder as he heard the sounds of two more join their midst. They didn't come out into the open, and Eos could not see them, but he could see them. Eos forced Archer lower, then crouched down next to him. He silently handed Archer the weapon he was meant to have. A quiver of two arrows, the one that had been hanging over his shoulder by a leather strap, and a bow. He motioned for Archer to stay silent, and pushed the weapons into his hands.

Arch looked at the bow with wide eyes. He started to say something, but Eos's expression told him that that would be a bad idea. Arch put the quiver over his shoulder and shifted it to a comfortable position. Then he examined the bow. It was a sleek thing, black and elegant.
Eos beckoned to Arch and they crept away, out of range of the other two.
"What did you do that for? I wanted to talk to them!" Arch said angrily.
Eos sighed. "They may have been hostile. that is why I'm giving you your weapon now."
