In an attempt to lesson the damage she loosened her muscles and leaned back with the impact, effectively rolling with the impact as her sensei had taught her. Still, the kick knocked Yuko from her feet and forced her to release her hold on the swords hilt. She landed roughly on her back and struggled to regain her bearings as her opponent landed. She had to get to her sword before he had time to recover. Yuko pushed herself to her knees and using her right foot pushed off the ground and dove for her sword.
