Cid's countenance darkened considerably at the rogue's reply. Threats of force were clearly all these rogues knew. Cid's body practically erupted with defensive instinct. If Danti was representative of his kind, then it made it all the more unlikely that the rogues would show any sort of reason or rationale, and would be all the more likely to attempt an attack. Even though this particular incursion seemed to be an individual endeavour, and that still intrigued the alpha...

"Sorry," Cid snarled, "but no deal. You're not taking anyone tonight."

He almost ordered the rogue to leave, but it somehow seemed redundant. This guy wasn't just going to be escorted off the premesis. And maybe there was some last hope that Kiara could say something to disarm the situation...but even if Kiara was willing, there was no way Cid would let her go until they'd made sense of it all.

He slid a foot back slightly, ready to either take an impact or else to charge. He shuffled sideways slightly as well. Lining himself up with the rogue and the window. If it came to the worst, that would make as good an exit for the rogue as any, but it looked like the big guy was pretty well braced for impact as well. To charge right now would more likely result in an epic brawl...right here in Kiara's room. Nothing about this was looking good....
