Cid was too slow getting to take advantage of the opening Tyler created. Something was driving that rogue above and beyond the physical limitations of his body...and it was as thought his body was very tightly limited. Just as Cid was getting to his feet, the monster of a man had broken inside and the alpha could hear the clattering of objects being arbitrarily knocked aside.

Rushing in, he caught sight of a heel disappearing up the stairs. Cid made his way to following, nearly bumping into two other males from town who had evidently come in through the front door. Cid nodded at them without a word, and bid them to following him up the stairway. unfortunately their progress was interupted by a third male sailing down, tumbling painfully on several steps before Cid broke the rest of his fall. The man at Cid's feet groaned in pain...but there was no time to lose. The alpha charged up the remainder of the steps. There was a glimpse of the intruder darting into Lux's room. Cid panicked...was he after Lux now? Was he determined to take Kiara...or would he grab any female?

Wasting no time, Cid burst into Lux's room...but the rogue was nowhere to be seen. Neither was Lux. Tyler was , staring through Lux's window which was open wide. He didn't need to say anything. The result was apparent enough; the rogue had escaped. Which was fine, Cid thought. After everything that happened, the only important thing was that the threat was gone.

Panting heavily, the strengthening numbness of the adrenaline started to give way to the overwhelming aches of the bruises all over his body, and in particular the gash on his head from where he'd been put through the car window.

He turned and headed into Cassidy's room where everyone was gathered. On his way he saw one of the town males tending to the injured one who'd been thrown down the stairs. The last one seemed to have given chase to Danti...but there was no way anyone was gonna catch the rogue with the head start he'd managed to give himself.

On seeing her mate, Cassidy let out a whimpering sigh and flung herself forwards, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck. Cid winced painfully, but nevertheless embraced the female wholeheartedly, communicating with every fibre of his being that he was safe now and so was she, and everyone else. He held onto her as he looked around at each other individual in turn, breathing heavilly and nodding. His expression was not quite a smile, but there was a discernible sense of relief there...

Tyler came in behind him and, much to his relief, gave the verbal explanation that he himself didn't quite have the breath to give yet.
