We have to go soon... but I'm not sure if I'm ready..
How does one know if they are ready...
..to face the world.. to defeat ancients..
..to save home..
Faye thought to herself as she hugged her knees, staring almost endlessly at the grass beneath her feet. A few breezes had passed her way, blowing light blonde strands of hair across her face yet Faye remained immovable almost stunned by her trail of thought.
But I must... Faye picked up her quarterstaff and stood up suddenly on the edge of the cliff. Because.. I'm an angel. She held the quarterstaff in the air in front of her horizontally as another breeze passed her way.
Yes..I must..
Her eyes closed for a moment then reopened focused and confident. She twisted the staff in circles with her hand's fingers before letting it go and catching it with her opposite hand. She nodded to herself before turning around and letting the end of the staff tap the ground lightly held upright by her left hand. Her eyes drifted to her right hand with the ring upon her index finger; the ring of the white opal stone. She lifted her hand to get a closer look of the stone for an instant before letting her hand relax back at her side.
"Let’s move on Jake" she said with a kind hearted smile before walking ahead to where the enormous willow tree lay. Her eyes wandered then settled to a fellow angel waiting patiently and keeping herself occupied by delicately touching the petals of a purple flower.
Being shy, Faye hesitated to say anything but forced herself to. They were after all going to be journeying together for quite some time. “H-Hi” Faye said, sitting down near the girl as her saddened eyes rested on a single blue flower that stood out from the rest in the field. Her fingers traced the outline of one of its petals gently. What a lonely flower…She released the quarterstaff momentarily so it nestled by her side.
