Alex laughed a little at Jaden's remark about his trench coat. He had actually forgotten he was still wearing it, and slipped out of jacket, setting it on the couch. Well...I'm going to bed now. I have to be up early and I'm exhausted. "Alright. We'll be right here if you need anything." He waited a few moments after Krissy had left, just to be sure she was a good distance from them before speaking in a low tone. "Something's not right here. I've heard of fresh hunters being attacked non stop by demons, but we've only seen two. I've seen more of the things in less then an hour.."

Alex was mostly speaking to himself, but was hoping Jaden paid attention to what he had said. Another mind was much appreciated in all this, although he'd never say that. He sighed a little and peaked out of the room. Her parents were still in the kitchen, so Alex quietly snuck out the front door and jumped onto the roof. His rifle and handgun were still in the same spot he left them. But the odd nature of things was putting him on edge. After he had slung the rifle over his shoulder, and the gun into it's holster at his side, he jumped back down and walked into the house, only to be stopped by Krissy's father. Oh shit.. Alex, was it? "Yeah." Well Alex, care to explain why you're brining those guns into my home? Damn it! Think fast Alex..

An idea suddenly clicked in his head, and he slid his hand into his back pocket as he spoke in a hard voice. "Sir, I would have liked to keep this from you, seeing as it could blow my cover, but.." He pulled a badge out of his pocket and handed it to Krissy's father. "My name is Alexander Grom. I work for the Sheriff's Department, and am here on assignment. There have been recent kidnappings in the area of young girls on their 18th birthday. My partner and I are simply here to make sure nothing happens to your daughter or to you." As he spoke, he pulled a second badge out of his pocket and dropped it onto the floor, then kicked it into the living room. Hopefully, Jaden would see it and play along. Or else the two would be in some serious trouble.
