"Okay, we will be fine. Go." Kari said with a nod. Varthur's eyes drifted from Kari to Rosalie as he gave them both a firm nod as if to say 'Don't worry, he's in good hands.'
He felt the stray on top his back attempt to move to which Varthur said in a soft, comforting voice. "Hang on fella"
After saying that, he ran swiftly yet carefully through the streets as the rain started to pour. He stopped short of a human on a bicycle headed his direction and managed to maneuver around it with great ease.
He slowed down his pace arriving at the familiar house and waiting underneath a tree wondering if he should enter as it was not his home afterall and what about the chances of bumping into a human?
Varthur decided to risk it, he had told them he would get the poor guy somewhere in the house to be warm and dry and the tree wasn't the best of shelters.
He ran out from underneath the tree moving his shoulders a bit more to balance the stray on his back and avoid him from falling off too easily. "Almost there" he said trying to comfort his new acquaintance as he stopped at the door pawing at it to check if it was locked.
