Walter quickly pushed the letter in his hand in between the desk and himself so that Abagail could not see it, after a brief moment of awkward silence he stumbled, "Hi...Um...you" quickly regaining verbal composure he continued, "Thank you, Id love some coffee right now." Walter stayed seated as Abagail leaned forward and placed the cup of coffee on the very edge of Walter's desk, just out of his reach. Walter sensed that this was a ploy to trick him into revealing that he had a letter in his hand, so he dropped the letter on the floor before leaning toward the steaming cup of java before him. He grabbed his coffee and then sat back down in his chair, he then immediately continued his search for the passport he had apparently misplaced. All during this frantic search he continued and rather mundane conversation with Abagail, about the weather and such. Walter was distracted enough that by the time he had gotten up from his desk to make his way toward the door, he had completely forgotten about the letter which was still on the floor. With slight rudeness he quickly left the room, "See you later, Um. Got things to do" he said as he passed Abagail and made his way toward the main school exit down the hall. He would not be leaving for a few days, and so when he excused himself (rather poorly) from Abagail's presence he was not not lying, there was much to do before he could make the trip to England, and ultimately to Germany.
