Maen was sitting against the wall when Allyse walked in.
"Yo, Doctor! How're the kids?" he giggled before he flopped onto his bed, "Y'know, I hear tell that you had to sedate that old firecracker Okami again."
"I don't have kids and, when don't I have to sedate him?" She replied. The laughing ones were the ones she kept an extra close eye on. Their giggling was usually to hide something dangerous.
"Between you and me Doc', I'd say that guy's a bit loco in the coco," Maen said before errupting in laughter, "But seriously, Doctor. It's getting so boring around here lately and I'm simply dying for a good old fashioned night on the town! So what do you say you and I make a deal? I think I have a crisp new five dollar bill in my other pants..."
"Okami wouldn't be here if he wasn't a bit 'loco in the coco.' I think you can keep your crisp new five dollar bill. I suggest reading a book. Jollywood has a wonderful library," she said with a smile, "We can go there right now." Allyse was smiling on the outside, but inside she was extremely frustrated.
I think you're loosing it, lovey. The voice was farmiliar, but it startled her that it was back. Allyse shook her head and sighed.
