Even though he didn't want to travel in packs like everyone else was, he did want some company."Who were you looking for?" asked Eli, behind him. He turned around and saw that Demi was still smoking, and he was about to tell her to put it away before anyone caught her, but then he remembered that all the teachers were gone.

"I'm looking for my younger brother, CJ," he said quickly and then turning around, heading down the stairs that would lead straight to the cafeteria. "Either of you know him? Or where he is?" He didn't really expect an answer that would suffice, and continued on, finally making it into the cafeteria and then into the kitchen. He saw exactly what he had expected. Piles of random kids, rolling off big cans of food, and stealing as much as they could. This angered Landon. "Girls, back me up on this please," he said as he moved to the middle of the kitchen.

"Hey!" he called out as loud as he could over the constant chattering of everyone. "Stop stealing all the food! There are tons of kids here that all need to eat. It's selfish to take it all for yourselves," he said angrily. Many kids rolled their eyes, but many also stopped realizing what he was saying. "We need to keep it all in here and continue to have meals like normal. All together." He looked around at everyone staring at him, each in different ways, some judgemental and some ready to here more. Others ignored him. "If we all just uh...put it back, then we can have people guard the food and then have meals every morning and night. We don't know how long we could be here. Where's Cody?" This would go better if he had Cody. Maybe he could get another one of those meetings started and Landon could try and let everyone know what he thought.
