Noelle jumped when the sound of an earsplitting scream echoed through the halls from where she had been walking from. Seems that someone else found the body, too. She thought, turning around and walking back to where the scream had sounded from. She found three people, and tried to smile pleasantly, but only found herself looking incredibly down.
"Hi, are you guys okay?" She asked, "I guess I'm not the only one who ran into him." She sighed and looked up at the dead man's face, but quickly averted her eyes when the sight of his discolored, bloated face threatened dry heaves.
"My name's Noelle, it looks like you guys have everything under control, so I think I'm going to be in my room, if you need any-" Her sentence was cut short when she saw, out of the corner of her eye, Robert.
She closed her mouth, and nodded to them before walking off towards the room Robert had disappeared into. She stood outside of the door for a while, contemplating weather or not confronting him would be a good idea, probably not. She didn't want to be the first person to die. But still, Noelle found one hand resting on the wolf charm around her neck and the other hovering just inches away from the door. She chewed on the inside of her cheek, her mind racing to find good conversation starters, what she should say, anything, but her hands only dropped to her sides.
She heaved out a heavy, pained sigh and walked away, she'd talk to Robert later, but not now. Noelle's slippers padded along the hallways for a while until she reached the T.V. room. Credits scrolled along the screen and the room was dark with dim lighting. She flicked a strand of blue-black hair out of her eyes and continued, seating herself in a squishy red seat close to the door.
She felt more on edge than the normal, calm and collected Noelle, but the fact that they were in a mansion death trap didn't help much, either.
