Danielle

Danielle weaved through the trees of the forest. She loved running around in her panther form. Her night black fur was soft since she had it brushed all the time. If anyone were to look close enough they would see blood around her mouth from her most recent kill. She paused to lick her lips. That deer had tasted good. A click to the right caught her attention. She froze in place and sampled the air to see if she could catch any scents. A human. She darted straight ahead, sure that she was being hunted. Going back to the village was a bad idea since she didn't want to lead the hunter to where her and her family lived. Danielle came to a clearing and spun in a full circle. She found a thick tree and crouched low behind it. The human appeared in the clearing. He was holding a sketchpad and a pencil. Danielle stayed where she was and didn't move a muscle. The guy couldn't be any older than 23. He scanned the clearing and sat down crosslegged. A low growl grew in Danielle's chest. It annoyed her that he wasn't leaving. The guy's head snapped up and looked around again until he saw her head poking round the tree. Danielle allowed the growl to grow even louder and slowly crept out from behind the tree with her head bent low and her tail flicking from side to side. The guy slowly stood up and back away, more cautious than ever.

"He doesn't seem so dangerous to me." she thought to herself.

Danielle stopped growling and raised her head. Instead of pouncing and attacking him, she sat down and stared at him. She was slightly curious about him. He slowly sat down again, keeping his eyes on her in case she decided to suddenly attack him. When he was fully sitting on the ground, he opened up his sketchpad and started sketching something. He seemed so into it. His eyes looked from her to the paper as he drew. Danielle tilted her head to the side in curiosity. She stood up again and slowly approached him. All his muscles tensed up and he sat, frozen in his spot. Danielle moved behind him to look at what he was drawing. It was her. The guy was looking out of the corners of his eyes to keep an eye on her while she was behind him. Danielle moved next to him and stared at the drawing over his shoulder. His muscles slowly started to relax and then he slowly reached out to touch Danielle's fur. Caught of guard, Danielle jerked away from him and he pulled his hand back in instinctive response. After a few seconds to analyze the situation, she darted off into the trees. She had never been that close to a human before. Maybe he wasn't completely evil, but that didn't mean that the rest weren't. He was one of them, so he was an enemy. Danielle went back to her village and fled to her room to take a nap so she could hopefuly forget about meeting that human.


Emma

Emma laid down on a large boulder where the sun was shining. It felt good when the sun soaked into her fur. She closed her eyes for a few seconds before she caught the scent of another shifter. It was Danielle. She watched as Danielle ran toward the village. There was another scent nearby. Emma got up to investigate. She hopped off her boulder and ducked when she saw a human going the same direction Danielle did.

"Hunter." Emma thought.

With her ears back and tail nearly between her legs, she growled at the human. He took a step back and then just stood there. Emma noticed that he seemed to be more mystified than scared. The fur on her back rose and her teeth revealed themselves. The guy took a step back and ran off in a different direction.

"Danielle needs to be more careful." she thought.

Emma quietly followed the guy at a distance so he wouldn't notice her. She wanted to make sure that he left the forest and stayed away from the village. When he took off in his car, she headed to the village to find Danielle. When she found her, she was taking a nap.

"Danielle. Wake up." she said.

Danielle snapped up in bed. She looked alarmed to see Emma there.

"I just wanted to tell you to be more careful when you are out there. I found a human following you." she said.

Danielle nodded and Emma left.
