Anne stood in front of her balcony doors. She was wondering if she was going to go out or not. It was snowing in Elphanor, but despite that fact, she had an urge to go out and stare at the sky. It was very peaceful and she will be away from the world, even for just a little time. Finally, after such a long time of thinking, she opened the glass doors that led to her balcony. She sat down on the chair and caught a snow flake. She stared at it and then blew it off her hand. She was finally separated from the world that she doesn't acknowledge that well. She was like a prisoner at her own kingdom. Not being allowed to go out and all. Not being able to do freely what she wants.

" Princess Everdeen, your mother is calling you " a voice that belonged to her private maid broke her out of her reverie. But she refused to even look at her. She didn't want to go back just yet. She wanted to stay where she was and just watch the snow gathering in her kingdom. She doesn't even want to talk to her mother because it will probably be about her getting married to some royalty that she doesn't even know.

"Princess, your mother wants to talk to you "the maid said in a louder tone. After ignoring the maid calling her for several times, the maid walked towards her and gently led her to her mother's chamber. Anne wasn't fighting back, though she doesn't want to talk to her mother, but then she had no choice. After several minutes of walking, they arrived in her mother's room. The maid knocked softly and they got the signal to come in seconds later.

" The princess is here, your Majesty " the maid opened the door for Anne as she bowed, then she left right after closing the door. Anne just looked at her mother with her tired eyes. Her mother was sitting down on the edge of her bed while reading some parchment that she doesn't know what about. Her mother was dressed in her usual attire, a long gown that covered her legs and her arms, while Anne was wearing a long gown with sleeves that only reached her elbows.

"You wanted to talk about something, mother? " Anne asked her. Her mother rolled the parchment back to its original form, laid it next to her table then stood up. She walked towards Anne as she smiled.

"Do you want to see the princes who are asking for your hand in marriage? " her mother asked her. Anne knew about this, then. Her mother had always wanted her to get married at a young age, so that they may be trained to rule their kingdom early. But then Anne doesn't want to get married yet. She hasn't even experienced falling in love. She means finding her one true love.

"Mother, I am not yet prepared to get married " Anne answered her in a composed manner, like she always does. She respects her mother truly, but she goes overboard sometimes about her personal life. She was asked by her mother a few times already, but her answer stayed the same. She wants to find her future husband personally, so that she will be happy with him forever.

" Your answer stays the same then. If that is the case, you may return to your room. But be ready because dinner will be served soon " her mother told her as she patted her shoulder gently. Anne knows that her mother also respects her decision. Bowing slightly, Anne left the chamber and walked back to her room. Once inside, she lied down on her bed and kept on thinking things that would make her get the chance of exploring the kingdom.
