Katie Rose
Katie barely kept her eyes open while lying on the ground, back to the car she was thrown against by Statix. And I thought me and him could be something.. Katie thought, looking at Statix, and then at Nik. āHope I donāt see you soon Nikā¦ā Katie said as she coughed up more blood, basically implying that she didnāt want him to die, since she was obviously dying and was going to die, die in Timeless, Now I die in a way which is like shit, man, I rather have been killed in combat, head-on. Not by surprise. Katie kept thinking to herself.
As Katie finally closed her eyes, last thing seeing was Nik walking away, images and replies appeared before her; Her getting sent into a car, betraying people, Alyssa dying, and multiple stuff, but not her whole live flashed before her eyes, she might not be dead after allā¦
After the barrier of Timeless came down, no more than a couple hours to be specific, government officials, scientists and doctors went through the city, searching for anything, and any more power children. As they looked, they only found one, Katie. Almost lifeless, they basically picked her up and sent her to Tech, knowing she had to have had some sort of power, along with the others.
As they got her to Tech, they were actually able to revive her, and keep her alive for the couple months that she was in a coma for, replacing her spine with mechanical parts, and pulling shrapnel out of her arms and hands from explosions caused by Nik.
While in her coma, the scientists couldnāt find much on her, since the long time in Timeless, her name was out of the data base, so they didn't have anything to really call her except her and she, and the occasional āit.ā Also along with this, not many other experiments, children, were really allowed even near the room that Katie was in, the people of Tech were too paranoid of what she possibly could do.
Katie opened her eyes, seeing a bright yellow light in her eyes. āIs this death?ā She said out loud, as she sat up, and noticing something tugging on her arm, tubes and wires, monitoring her health into a computer. āNope, but what is this place? A dream? No, this has to beā¦ā Katie stopped talking as she stood up, and pulling the stuff out of her arms. āThereās no way, Iām out of Timelessā¦ā She kept on talking then looking around the room and seeing an open dresser, with her clothes, which were clean. Then how the fuck am I alive, or atleast moving? Katie thought as took off the plain white gown she was wearing and put the clothes that were in the dresser on and checked herself in the mirror.
Then as Katie turned around she realized there was a computer with a page brought up. āLetās see what it says.ā Katie said as she read the page. Codename: Example Five. Real Name: Katie Aloise Rose. Powers: Unknown. Status: Stable. Surgeries: Spine disc replacement- Right then as Katie read what it said on the screen a replay of what happened went through her head, her being sent through the air by a shockwave and hitting a car, severely hurting her back. Katie stumbled back and knocked over more than a few things before falling back into the bed, and it ending. āWhy did that just happenā¦ā Katie though to herself.
Just lying there, Katie began to remember and think about all in Timeless. āHow? How am I out of Timeless, and what about Nik, Rei, Cyrus-ā Katie stopped for a second, āStatixā¦ā Katie said as her tone changed into a more pissed off angry sounding one. Katie turned her hand into a stone block and punched the wall, which was actually solid steel so it didnāt do much damage but did show some. Hmm, I guess they donāt know this power, which could helpā¦ Katie thought as she sat up and had the idea of escaping, not wanting to stay in this place whatever it was anymore, she felt like a lab rat, and a she quickly came up with an idea.
Katie stood still after standing up. She was worried and scared, but not about getting stopped to hurt, but about her power, electricity, due to it having somewhat a cause of her ādeath.ā But she tried to put that to side as she began her escape. First off she quickly smirked into the camera at the corner of her room before shooting it with a shock, and temporally disabling it, and then walking to the door. Hmm, thereās no why I could hack this, but I could hammer itā¦ Katie said as she turned her hand into a pretty big hammer and started smashing the control panel, but then the sparks burning her.
āOw!ā Katie knew this was probably going to happen, but didn't expect it to hurt. āProbably from the damn stuff in my spineā¦ā Katie said as she quickly hopped into the dresser and waited for any guards to come in, but did it right in time before the camera came back on. Her plan was pretty basic, the only way to open the door now was for them to break it down, and then Katie would come out and attack, and make her great escape.
It wasnāt too long before Katie heard the door bust down, and words between the guards, luckily there was a small hole which Katie could look through, waiting for the right moment to attack. Once all the guards got in the room, Katie turned into a small insect and flew outside the door and into the hallway, behind the guards and turned back. āShocking right?ā She said as she raised both palms facing the guards and electrocuted them, not knowing if she killed them or just paralyzed them, and also electrifying the computer by accident and destroying it. She then took off down the hallway.
As Katie continued off, an alarm went off, but from the others escaing, this also alowed security to be not as much in her area. But still a couple guards came around the corner, but Katie easily turned into a rhino ripping through them, sending one down another hallway. As she switched back into her normal self, she felt blood coming down her arm; she actually had been cut somehow. Right then Katie heard voices from the hallway she had launched one of the guards down, and instead of waiting, Katie took off around the corner and conveniently, ran into an emergency escape, to the roof and climbed it up, before whoever the voices were saw her. But she didn't know it was actually them from Timeless.
As Katie got to the rooftop, she looked around to see what type of place she was in, and man was it big. Big enough to stay and not get caught, just got to blend itā¦ Katie thought as a flock of birds flew overhead, and Katie turning into a bird and joining them. Freedom, sweet freedom. But still, how the hell am I alive?
